Well that tells me you have NOT done a search on the internet for several things, when I was finding out who did this song I looked up on Weird Al's OFFICIAL website his list of songs, this was not on the list, I found the Memory Alpha website and the "Not AL Song list" (which you most likely never looked up) and saw it is accredited to the Hillman Morning Show (which by the way is a RADIO show-so no studio audience) It was done by Barbare in 1996 and on his ROYAL FLUSH album released in 1997.
@darkmiss13 I know it's a parody of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. I don't know a single person who doesn't know that because it's so obvious and I never said that I didn't know what it was a take off of. But what I am saying is that Weird Al sings it. It's all over the internet as Weird Al and you are the first person that said that some tv show host sang it. I think the world wide web begs to differ.
@darkmiss13 Also, I wasn't referring to the person who originally created it. I was referring to the song that you were playing on your little video. Which, btw, you could've synced the lip movements better to fit with the lyrics. Good general idea tho.
@darkmiss13 I've been looking all over the internet and there are far more links saying Weird Al sings it than the sites where they say the opposite which tend to be blogs about people's opinions which may or may not be true. It comes across more to me as a rumor that he doesn't sing it than as actual fact. I also have yet to find a quote by Weird Al that says he doesn't sing it or anything from the other guy saying that he does. From all the research I've done, it appears to be only a rumor.
@blackwolf085 Well don't forget that most of the world thinks most parodies are done by Weird Al -which is untrue- and it just take one wrong person to start the chain.
@darkmiss13 no they don't. parodys are done by various artist. this one was done in a studio booth by weird al. Not on a tv show otherwise there'd be applause in the middle of the song. It's a rumor. Nothing more. I've looked at several websites and all the websites I've seen saying that it's not by weird al, aren't official websites that know the copyright laws. They tend to be websites created by individuals who have this opinion and whine about it. I have yet to see any official proof.
@blackwolf085 I don't really care to argue anything with you, but let me just ask this.
Comparing it to all the official songs Weird Al has released on CD, does this singer sound anything like him to you? Also, if this was made by Weird Al wouldn't he have made a full length parody instead of just a clip of it? I looked around for a full length version of this song but so far this clip of it is all I've found.
@blackwolf085 "Star Trek Rhapsody" is a parody of Queen's song "Bohemian Rhapsody". This song is often incorrectly associated with "Weird Al" Yankovic, but it is actually from a group known as Hillman Morning Show and was written and voiced by the show's co-host Kevin Barbare

@blackwolf085 Okay maybe I'm confused? Weird Al DID NOT sing this song, as I wrote above Kevin Barbare did. and thanks for the lip sync tip!

I think the credit for the song should go to who sings it, Weird Al, not who you got it from.
