  • what happend to corrine and rob

  • cool

  • FYI: If you go to a winery with wine tasting you can usually ask them for their corks! I've gotten 100s from winery so I can do all of the wine cork projects I want to do!! :)

  • Need corks in a a hurry? Go to your local wine bar and ask for leftover corks. Usually, the person behind the bar will give you a giant bag full of them. While you're there, drink some wine. It's win-win.

  • WOW. A ton of you guys are just dicks. This is a good idea. Just appreciate her art. There's plenty of ways to accumulate a ton of corks. I have a ton and I don't even drink.

  • Great idea. My question is about the frame. What type of frame and type of backing are you gluing the corks too. This has been my dilema....finding the proper frame.

  • Damn how much booze do you drink to have a million corks around?

  • откуда у нее столько пробок, она что алкоголичка?

  • @7icediamond7 да нет не похожа, она сказала что у нее была вечеринка ...но тоже не похожа...

  • Donate me some corks so I can do this!!!

  • must have been some party!

  • What a dumb fucking slutty bitch!

  • 0:21 I think Tracy has a drinking problem..

  • thanx alot! I made this for my mom for her birthday!!!! she loved it! thank you very much ! =DDD ♥♥♥

  • ... I have about a hundred corks lying around... we are working on 200

  • cool vid

  • what happened to this girl?

she was no meg but .....

  • Must have been a he'll of a party with all those corks left over!

  • YAY Penguin in the background!!!!!!

  • Okay, what is up with this negativity? Seriously! Tracy's show is call 'Eco-Curious' not How to Sew This or How to Knit That. Try to learn to be more respectful to the environment, and to other people! Tracy, I hope you ignore all these petty comments. You rock. I love watching your pieces. :) Keep the Eco-Friendly shows and creations coming!

  • I saved my whole house's corks for 4 years, but mine is neat and lined up. I used a crappy old mirror my housemate broke for the frame. Cork trees are becoming rare. I'll keep saving the corks for some of these other ideas. "Reuse" seems more possible than "reduce" these days.

  • This is cool, my grandfather drinks wine so I do have corks. But I guess not many people in the USA and stuff drink wine, and that's why they're pissed, because they don't know that there are different cultures outside of their own minds.

  • @aardfay

    Now now,

Your insulting a whole lot of people, There

You gotta realize it's not the WHOLE USA, It's older members of TB throwing a fit, But, Yeah, They need to get over themselves.

  • @bleachgirl100 Sure it's not the whole USA. I know some decent people that would think before posting comments like the ones I've seen here.

  • this is very creative.my aunt and uncle have ALOT of corks because they collect them.so maybe i can ask them if i can use some and maybe give the board to them for a present.it looks lie a fun project!

  • This looked like a fab idea. Unfortunately I didn't have any corks, so I took a trip to the local vineyard and purchased a large quantity of wine. I raced home excited and began opening the bottles to obtain the necessary corks for my very own cork-board. Drinking and glu-ing .. glu-ing and drinking. I have to admit the notice board was rubbish but I can Highly recommend the wine drinking.

  • its really annoying the way she curls her lips to make it look like shes smiling when she talks...

  • == .. . lame.

  • For all the people complaining about how she did hers wrong/not the best way, these videos are here for you to expand on them and make the idea even better! Use your CREATIVITY! :)

  • "you know you are ......... AH.....FOXY LADY"

  • <- Come see how to make a dress, skirt or a headbang :D

  • thats one crazy party you had....hahahah

  • If you cut the corks into thick rounds , you cover more surface area and use less corks. Its easier to get it all the same size, so you don't have as many spaces and awkward pining area.

  • @MisanthropicDreams yep, I was thinking the same thing. A couple minutes with a miter or scroll saw and you could cut them all straight down the middle lengthwise. Like you said, you would have a flat, stable and larger surface for gluing and also use half the amount of corks.

  • @MisanthropicDreams exactly lay them flat instead of on the curve

  • extremely sloppy!

  • cork is actually biodegradable, so i doubt most of it ends up in landfills for years and years.

  • haha did u guys get drunk or something?

    lol...xD

  • yea, it is a cute project, and conversation piece, and useful, i'm sure you could make a smaller one if you dont have many corks, also, i think you should cut them all in half but lenghwise, that way they'll be more flat for actually tacking, and help the glue hold better, and you wont need so many, plus you can glue em so the designed part is showing still, i also agree she should have planned in out a little better, i would, put em all on first like 5 times before i glued.

  • that looks real sloppy....i m not impressed :-(

  • i made my corkboard in a spiral design :)

  • Ok, she's trying her best, and that's good, but ThreadBangers the old one was about sewing projects most of anytinhg else. I think this kinda of videos would had more acceptance in another channel not on TB.

  • With that many corks it must have been one hell of a party. :)

  • Honestly I think this is a really cute idea, although it would have looked better if she'd planned them out before gluing. It would have been quite helpful if you told us where you can possibly obtain corks without buying 50 bottles of wine though, not all of us are 21 or *want* that much wine.

  • My parents have been saving up wine corks for years, and recently just made a huge picture frame with them that was pretty cool. Maybe she's been saving them for a long time. If not...hey, nothing wrong with being a lush. At least this is a cute, useful thing that we haven't quite seen before. I'll support it, since it's way better than ginger ale and tote bags.

  • Guys, she might have asked other friends for corks. It's not like these were all from her party. :P

  • Just a quick Q...wouldn't it be better to cut the corks in half? You wouldn't need as many!!!

  • I like the idea but my question is, you said you got them from you're party where friends brought wine,

    1. how many friends do you have

and I know ya'll were Tipsy...

  • okay guys obviously its not going to be the same as the old threadbanger , im sure they're trying their hardest ...instead of just complaing , why dont you guys comment what you would like to see , that way the know. im sure they read these comments .

  • You drink a lot of wine

  • You have a lot of corks. You don't seem know when to stop drinking. ;O

  • @Phantrax must be why her ideas are to ....basic... they seem great in the mind of a wine junkie

  • @Marie3rin Hehehe. ;D

  • your voice is too quiet!

  • tht is cool

  • i kinda like it,

    so many corks.

  • She looks like Stacie Orrico

  • should have put them all in tighter by sizing out completely before then gluing

  • damn that's alot of cork!

  • I figured it out there is an echo thats distorting .. sorry not the volume

  • WOW that was some PARTY! please use a mike close to your face next time I can hardly hear you.

  • This is actually pretty cute; it would look pretty good with the corks sticking straight out and being different lengths, too. I've seen art done like that with different lengths of wooden blocks.

There are cool places around my hometown that have all kinds of recycled objects (like cork, mason jars, baby food jars, wires, old trophies, et cetera), and I would go there to get the supplies for this. So, if you look around, maybe your town has something similar.

  • it's a nice idea... just really messy looking. =/

  • Didn't Meg do something on this before?

  • This would be a good idea if, for some reason, you had 200 extra corks lying around...

  • @pencilcaseize If there's a wine shop in your area, they usually have bags and bags full of corks to sell.

  • @pencilcaseize well...i had like 50 lying around but i cut them in slices for some reason

    damn...

  • @pencilcaseize Some people save corks after they buy their wine. They actually can look pretty cool when you use them in a project like this or just put them in vases around your house (I have a friend whose family does that). If your parents like to drink wine, it's perfect. Say you have two parents so they buy 4 bottles of wine in a week. It would only take 50 weeks to collect 200 corks, not counting special occasions or if they buy more bottles/week. And you don't even need that many corks.

  • @xKilaylaXstarx Yeah, I understand that. The corks in the vases actually sounds like a cooler idea than this (to me).

I come from a family that doesn't drink, so I'd never be able to get that many...I'd have to ask for donations. lol.

Also, 50 weeks is two weeks shy of a year...so that would still be a pretty long time. lol.

  • @pencilcaseize I work at a winery =DDD

  • @pencilcaseize thats is a stupid comment....you can keep all the corks that are put into garbage, like for a year or so, and you can do this...as simple as that...

  • @pencilcaseize 72 corks lol

  • I think its much cheaper to buy your own cork board and it would save more time

  • Ok....so many people don´t like this show/host whatever, I personally don´t like her either but I think this is actually a very good idea. Granted is not 100% original but It doesn´t mean it´s not good, many projects in the old TB episodes came from other sources, it would be nice if she gave us the link to it like they used to...

  • Looks great! You guys should drink more often ...

  • can you buy corks? drink wine, but enough for the broad

  • Woah, what a party if you're left with that many corks lol

  • Wow she totally stole this. i saw this same exact thing on youtube years ago! Like seriously we need someone new with good and fun ideas, not this bitch

  • Eco friendly residence in Hollywood???

So proud of it, and the damn "eco parties". Sure, you rich girl...

You better get a real job.

  • So an alcoholic is teaching us how to make a shitty corkboard? Nice.

  • What if you cut the cork in half legnth wise, so it lays flat? Then you could use half the cork.

  • @ivory142 Yeah I would have done that. If you do it that way, they will stick better and I think it would look better.

  • she looks so proud of it

  • ummmmm what if my family doesnt have an abundance of wine corks?? i mean, my mom likes wine with dinner, but we dont usually keep ours...

what i was thinking as an alternative-only because im not too fond of the finished product here-is that you could maybe slice the corks into thin discs and then glue those one, so it would kind of have a more uniform look... and use less corks.

  • interesting idea for the alcoholic in your family... Her example was poorly planned but still served its purpose. Thanks for posting.

  • @AutonomousArt I don't know ho wthing s go where you live, but if someone drinks wine he isn't necessarily an alcoholic.

in countries like Italy wine is drunk everyday at lunch and dinner.. doesn't mean we're a population of alcoholics..

  • @DragoliaFUNClub Auto isn't saying that anyone who drinks wine is an alcoholic, but referring to what looks like 100+ corks she owns to make this cork board. The girl said that she got all these corks from a party she recently threw where all her friends brought her wine, so either the party involves hundreds of friends and she had to run around all night collecting corks, or maybe it's a party with a several alcoholics who drank six bottles of wine each. The "alcoholic" part is a joke, you see.

  • While it's a recycle idea.. I have to say that it's one of the ugliest things I think I'e seen in a while. Choosing a background that fits the cork better would be one way of making it neater, as well as cutting the corks in half lengthwise so the backs were flat for gluing. Try again.

  • Personally, I don't like how it looks disorganized BUT it does give its "I did it myself" feel.

  • That's a lot of corks. Would look nice with an oblong frame too

  • this one is better than the last few. I'm glad the closeups of her face were short, apparently the cameraperson is getting better with practice.

It's still not very complex, but I like it. Cork itself is very eco-friendly.

Much better Tracy, I hope you continue to improve.

  • thats so prettyyou raise your eyebrows a lot when you talk

  • thats so pretty

  • it looks really messy -__- what you shld try is line them up on the frame before gluing them on :)

  • Cute! :)

  • I kinda wish she would have said why the glue gun wasn't green. And I like that she's demonstrating something. I wouldn't do this myself but there are people who might want this.

This video is better than the last few she had done, so I'm glad for that.

  • @CamiInc probably because it is using electricity to heat the glue or something. I wasn't too sure how it's not green either... haha

  • that is genius

  • Good idea! I have never thought aobout it :)

  • Man that must have been one hell of a party to have THAT much wine there.

  • she reminds me of the singer, stacie orrico.

  • @travnguyen lol!!!!

Me too! By the way, that girl was kinda like a comet right? I mean, one day she was there and the next day she was gone and i didn´t hear anything from her again.

  • so we're not commenting on the project itself and how to improve them anymore, but on how she smiles? That's all we can talk about now? Shame.

  • i recomend cutting them in half so it ays flat and its neater

  • This is great! Can't wait to try it!

  • I would recommend laying the corks out first, that way they don't end up looking like they were all shoved in there. If you always drink the same kind of wine it might not be such a bad idea, but if you get any from local bars or other friends, they will be different sizes.

Also, it feels like the 'eco-friendly!!!' thing is being shoved down my throat.

  • @KotoMEH I agree. I already recycle my old materials to make myself new things (speaking of which, there's a skirt/dress out of scraps I need to start on!), why would I need to be ~told~ to be 'eco-friendly'?

Then again, it could just be her 'catch phrase'.

  • getting better

  • omg thats such a good idea

  • Cute idea, I was thinking if you cut them width wise that way they were a bunch of little rounds, you could cover more surface area with less corks. And wow, look at how many corks she has! If you can't get the corks or that many, you could ask your family and friends to turn theirs over to you.

  • sigh threadbanger is in shambles.. :(

  • OH OH! Now I remember, when Tracy smiles, her smile reminds me of Lea Michele's smile.

That's an interestingly cool project. I don't think I would drink so much wine that a whole bucketful of corks would develp, but it is still pretty eco friendly.

  • @IHeartZachQuinto

she remind me of Blake Lively

    i dont know why

i think it's the smile too

  • @3bdura7man Oh, you're so right.

  • Wait What the heck will you use this for? I only see it as a nice way to decorate! >_>

  • I did it ond second grade -.-''

  • I have been making these for the last 11 years they work great

  • nice :) I like this ill try it but i need a lot of wine lol

the only complaint is that its a little messy the corks arent very organized....

  • great job! that seems like fun. i probably don't have room for it, but when i move out it might be a fun thing to do in my office!

  • it looks awsome! I think I gonna do one too. :D

  • I've done something like this before. If you lay the whole thing out first, it comes out a lot cleaner/tighter/better looking.

  • lots of corks = lost of whine ?

    Nice idea XD

  • you can handle my glue gun anytime.

  • thats a lot of corks. o-o

  • I love this idea. I just wish I was still a student, we could have racked up enough to make one in a night. Definitely gonna try this one sometime!

  • for anyone trying to find corks, especially underage DIYers, i found three bags of corks at savers and a huge container of corks from thrift center. check your local thrift stores! you can buy corks too but...that defeats the purpose.

  • Getting better!

EXCRUCIATINGLY SIMPLE, but getting much better. And something I might ACTUALLY USE. As GIFTS. For people.

I'm in shock (no offense) at the improvement. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! ^^

  • @nemo012350 I like that idea. o.O My grandparents/aunts/uncles/extended family are holiday drinkers, so maybe I can turn them on to the whole recycling idea.

  • HOLY SHAM-WOW! thats a LOT of wine!

  • Those are amazing! My grandma has so may of them, because she lives in the Napa Valley (lots of wine corks, you see). they last for years and look cool, too! They really do the trick for protecting surfaces from hot cooking pots and such.

  • @nemo012350 Well arent YOU cool *rolls eyes* LOL! I liked the un evenness of it. It made it look unique and quirky

  • is she a bobble head? cause she has a frozen smile and moves her head a lot....either way great idea i think i might actually try this, tnx :)

  • It actually looks nice, even though it's uneven. If it were even it wouldn't look nice in my opinion. I would've sliced the corks in halves and put them either round side up or round side down, but that actually looks really good. ^^

  • thats was a good idea =3

  • I saw this in she's crafty

    I love that show

  • so r u like the one that replaces the "decor it yourself"

    hmmmmm....doing pretty good actually.

  • That would be an awesome back plash in a kitchen

  • .... that's a lot of wine... O_o

  • cool...but i don't think i'll ever be able to collect all that

  • Lol You still have more Corks : D

  • a cork board make form corks, wow she's getting a little better

  • you could even try cutting the corks in half vertically and then gluing them down, it will make it a lot more stable. ie. after repeated use you won't have random pieces falling off as often from wiggle.

  • @o00xena00o Yes, I think that is a much better idea... I think the one she made in this vid was kinda junky looking. It looked too sloppy to me.

  • cute :)

  • totally got this from instructables..

  • that is beautiful XD

  • really good idea =)

  • I have always wanted to try this. Thanks for te post!

  • She's getting better :D

  • Mount pics of the wine drinkin' folks on the board, and change them whenever you want, the wine drinkers hall of fame. Just one suggestion, please put a pic of the finished product at the very beginning of the clip, Thanks!

  • its a piece of art on its own :)

  • The end result looks really messy:-/

  • I've seen this idea 9 gazillion times!!!!!

  • @JienTheBest i like that idea too, then you wouldn't have to use so many corks :)

  • if you cut them in half, and put the rounded side facing inside the frame, it might actually look like a cork board...

  • FRESH JOE SHIT...

  • Is she pregnant??

  • @himmy520 She might be... but her baby belly is kinda cute:-D

  • @himmy520 She just had a drinkin' party. Wuddaya think??

  • holy shit you must have been wasted out of your mind

  • Wow how much wine did you drink! o_O

  • Whoa slow down, so you put glue on the cork and then press it down on the board and repeat? Man, I would have NEVER figured it out, this was so helpful and better than just using theplain board I already had to stick all my business cards in.

  • Figured out who she reminds me of... Miriam Mcdonald! lol... because i used to watch degrassi. But yeah this is a good idea :}

  • always liked that idea, but you should have planned it out better, by arranging the corks first and then glueing them down

  • That was quite a party...

  • @JienTheBest Good idea!
