I went into the Army when I was 18, just 7 years after we pulled out of Nam. I used to watch the war on tv at night when I was a young kid. I didn't have a clue about what was really going on. Shortly after signing up, I quickly realized what it meant to be a soldier in the US Military. Although I was fortunate enough to never see combat, I now understand my proud conviction. The loving, caring support of all you kind folks out there, made it all worthwhile. YOU are why we serve...
