Interesting about your Zippo. I have no problems whatsoever with mine. Works first time every time. Maybe you got one with a bum wick? Tried replacing the wick? Use the Zippo fluid in the black can. No funky taste of lighter fluid.
Just remove the cotton packing. Make careful note of how it came out. Pull the old wick out from the top and insert the new one from the top and replace the cotton packing like it came out.

I was thinking about sending the lighter to zippo to be fixed, I'm not sure how to change out the wick's.

Where are you getting the House of Windsor blends? Harder to find than frog hair. Revelation was great!!! The Argosy Black is a stoved cavendish.
