  • I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Today (Jan.17), we sang a hymn to this tune to close the service. I also played it at a local Lutheran Church that I filled in at. It is In Christ Called to Baptize, written by Ruth Duck. It is #575 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship.

  • Excellent improvisation. Did you write it down on sheet music?

  • The "Postlude on St. Denio" by Robert Graham is a published composition and is the basis of what you hear (approx. 50%). The balance is my improv inspired by Vierne and is not written. Thanks for viewing and your comments.

  • how many ranks is this organ?

  • 49 - to the right of the video click "more info" and it has the full description and stop list. Thanks for viewing.

  • Wayne, you should be in a Cathedral loft, with

playing like that ! Fantastic !!

  • We don't have a loft (the organ and console are in the chancel), and we're not the cathedral for our diocese, but I love where I am. Thanks for your thoughts and for viewing. Greetings from NJ USA to SW UK!

  • its carrilion de westminister be louis vierne

  • Yes, that's my "inspiration"! If you click on "More Info" above right, Vierne is duly credited. Thanks for your comment and for viewing.

  • I really enjoyed watching this.

  • EXCELLENT!!!! You're so prolific in posting such high quality music and playing. Simply put, you're fantastic!

  • Hi Mark, Had a great time doing this on an extremely hot and humid July afternoon without AC. Thanks for viewing and your very kind comments. Wayne

  • You're welcome, and the organ sounds so good it's too bad that you don't have a 32' reed. There's always Walker..........
