I never thought I'd see a music movie that could be better than Walk Hard, but after seeing this movie, I was wrong. This movie was fucking awesome. If you have respect for any British band or the radio in general, then you have to see this movie. 50/10 stars.

Pirate Radio may be based on true events, but anyone familiar with the story attempting to be recreated, here will recognize fiction when they see it. The script and continuity needed serious reworking prior to shooting the first frame. Why not consult actual authorities (like Chris Welch) rather than create out of timeline music and events. Is Pirate Radio fictionalized reality? Yes. Is it a good movie? Well, not if you were expecting history of the era.

I saw this movie as 'the boat that rocked' back in April over here. I liked it a lot; it was also edited by 20 minutes for US audiences, so that might explain some character development problems.
