I can hear the raw power and anger in his voice in this song. But it seems that Julian has gotten past the way John treated him. :)

@riffmagos john was never a part of julian or his mother lives.he never even paid child support. it was a year or so before lennon died that they started talking to each other. so unless julian grew up listening non-stop to john lennon interviews, i doubt thats how he ended up sounding like him. here's a curveball, how about genetics.john was his dad and he just got them through dna. plenty of relatives sound alike but don't grow up with them, or have even seen them.Like Julian. wow! how odd!

@hammfatt I'd be hard pressed to think he'd do that. Also, we have no idea if Yoko kept his unreleased material under lock and key (she probably did). This song isn't Julian's only hit, but yes, it's one of his most well-known. Keep in mind, he hasn't actually published a lot of songs in comparison. And in 1984 of course this song would have struck a strong chord with the people.
