  • What's the name of the song, please kindly share, thanks

  • @niceguido it's in the description - all these things and more by hastings

  • Nice camera!

  • you played with feeling

  • that seemed to simple

  • that seemed to simple

  • I dont like sabian b8 hi hats...

instead i got me a pair of sabian pro series hi hats and i love them! (they're discontinued now tho)

hoping to get a new zildjian zxt rock ride too! is it any good? ive heard a wav file sample of it but whats it like in person?

  • Yeah man !! very good drumming you did a good job !!

  • @banger818

"SABIAN" is actually the first two letters of the names of the guys three kids :)

  • @scienceguyJ True but you do you know that Sabian is made by one of the Zildjian brothers thats why they sound so good and similiar to Zildjians. I play Zildjians especially the K's Love them.......

  • @AntonVW

Yeah I did actually haha. In the near future when I want a top-end set of cymbals I might go for some Ks.

  • What type of AAX crash is that?

  • wow dood you packed on some poundage since the last vid HAHA

just playin good vid, vary clean!

  • Amazing. This is just...... No words. Amazing.

  • what's the name of song? (sorry for my bad english)

  • @pattttcocccc hastings - all these things and more

  • @kkaazzii ok ! thank you.

  • wtf? Paiste= best cymbals and this world YAHHH =D

  • @amortec500 It's only ONE of the best!

  • you guys should maybe check out Meinl cymbals.

  • Paiste all the way. They are a thinner cymbal and have more of a punch to them. Price really reflects the quality.

  • everyone can have their own opinion about cymbals.. for example.. i prefer zidjians for rydes and hi hats.. but for crashes.. sabians aax r the bests.. and by the way.. i dont like at all paiste's cymbals

  • i like the sabian b8s and zildjians for crash and china

  • Paiste crashes are the way to go.

  • Ill be honest here, i have had zildjian cymbals and played sabian ones but my fave r the Stagg cymbals i got 4 xmas, they sound great and r not as expensive as the others :D

  • R U Serious? My first cymbals were Stagg and the fell apart after 3 months of playing, got Zildjian for a log time, not a mark of breaking.

  • nice beat

  • i like zildjian for hi-hats and rides but for crashes i like sabian more

  • Zildgens are the way to go? Are you nuts? Sabian blow Zildgens away. In fairness, I use both Sabian and Paiste together ;) Awesome

  • i hate paiste love sabian and zildjians

  • i don't choose company's. if i find a cymbal i like.. if its in my price range i buy it :)

  • i didnt pick the company these are the cymbals i like the most zildjians were my first cymbals loved them.....i had a paiste set of cymbals but they broke on the kit it came with now i use sabian b8 and AAX

  • cool ^^

  • Sabian cymbal are good, vault crashes are very nice and hh is very good for ride, but I need to say that paiste are better than sabian =)

  • the cymbals are good

  • No one likes sabian cymbals. Zildjian's or Paiste's are the way to go!

  • What are you talking about all the cymbals you get a good sound out of!

  • i think you mean you dont like sabians

  • because you cant afford them... as simple as that.

  • the hight hat beats not that hard...its the putting everything togther that messes me up :/ i think to much.

  • 1:48

is that drum gel on the highhat

  • Could be, Or maybe Moon Gel. Never seen before on Hi-Hat oder cymbals? It's very often used.

  • No, its where there was once a crack in the high hat, then he cut the crack out. At

:26 you can see straight through to the ground where the cut is.

  • no its the shadow of the mic on top of it

  • bien bien

  • what's the name of this song??

  • just read the video discription

  • I like that intro groove. I intend to learn this whole song. Very nicely played.

  • The whole point to these videos is that you make your own drums for the songs..

  • Perhaps that's what they intended, but I'm well able to come up with my own beats. I learn these note-for-note which helps me learn beats which don't come naturally to my hands. It is good musical exercise. I'm pretty sure I can do whatever I want with these free lessons.

  • tricky hi hat ....for me at least....

  • yea im a beginner and that beat's intimidating me already lol

  • What this song ?

    and what is bands ?

  • does anyone know if this song can be re-recorded with the drums being so prominent coz this is an awesome song :D

  • i almost downloads their video tutorial.. i can wait my drum set here inmy room... :D

  • Nice. Love this song. He plays the drums so well. Thanks for this video

  • nice

  • someones gaining sum beaf

  • Rly nice played man :).. So much soul in it.. Not so complicated, but who says is have to be complicated, there's a lot of soul in it. Beautiful drumming

  • I have this dvd!

    This song and band ROCKS!

  • fairly simple drumming

  • but it's played well, and composed well

  • thesse videos aren't ment for professionals...

  • thank you 23aztek.. its so long i have now the true lyrics.. thanks thanks

  • GUYS FOR PEDAL GET SOME IRON COBRA with power glide its just so awsome how they work good and they cost only 350 bux and they are pro

  • i think....iron cobra from tama

  • i like this song..

  • i like this..great drum cover , what the title of the song? and who is the artist.. i want to have mp3, to put in my ipod..:D thanks in advanced..

  • @ lyndonabing

    Read the description...

  • This is one of my absolute favorite drum videos on youtube.. Im a drummer myself, and im so impressed by the sound of the drums and this guys playing.. Also i think the song is very good ;)

  • Try searching for Cobus on YouTube ;)

  • How about cobus is no where near the best drummer on Youtube..

  • try chaserr too ;)^^ (already lovin cobus?^^)

  • Try Vadrum

  • try me.. lol. ill have vids up sumtime soon.

  • well when you play slow its really wierd to let it bounce back and it puts more attack into the drum and most drummers like thier bass drum like a thud but when you play fast kicks usualy the beater bounces off the head

  • I have a question for any of you drummers out there on youtube. I noticed when they (the drummers from this channel) hit the kick drum, they rest the beater against the head, without releasing after the original strike. I thought this was bad technique, the same as "choking" a drum, but not letting the stick bounce off the head. Is this the same action with a kick drum beater?

  • Well, I think the beater contact with the head only muffles it a little, it just depends on the area of contact with the bass drum head, and since it's so big, it won't really affect the sound much, but if you want a more open sound from it, then you can hit the bass drum and let the beater come back. It's all up to preference.

  • alright thanks guys. I prefer the open sound, but thats just me.

  • its not emo idiot!

  • thx anyway :(

  • I can send it to you. But only the Playalong :D

  • I'm a big fan of this song, too bad i cant find it anywhere else. :(

  • I'll download it for you :) give me 5 mins...

  • well i tried but its not working :S

  • fuck you its cool

  • Well.. You can learn even more when you have the equipment..

  • All These Things And More

  • nice song... what is the name of this song?

  • All these things and more- Hasting

  • ya... thankz...

  • how the fuck is this a lesson.

  • its a play along you can download off he drum lesson website DUHHH!

  • maybe its a legal thing why they cant play and well know tracks.. i dunno but the music industry is a bitch with roya;ities and stuff, i'm not sure if it matters for educational vids.. but still.. he plays the song with the vocals and guitars but just without the drums.. so its basically the song..

  • They don't make money off of these videos, so royalties wouldn't be a problem.

They probably choose these songs because they just sound good and have good drums.

  • These drummers play the songs of the bands that they are in. They are not well known bands

  • Oh i see, that makes sense, cool :D

  • cool kit!!!! sabians + k zildjian cool!

  • The Band is Hastings.

  • who is the singer ??? or the band ?

qui est le chanteur ??? ou le groupe ?

  • i don't see why people keep complaining that the song's sh*tty or whatever when it's supposed to be for beginner drummers.

  • It sounds like a 16th note, 5 stroke roll that starts on the "3 and" with the first hit being a double (starts with left hand).

  • that's a double..man i miss my band.

  • I so agree with you man. Its just beautiful. Can anyone tell if those were doubles or singles on 1:09?

  • your drumming is so wonderfully locked in with the melody. props to you man, this is profoundly inspiring for me. keep up the good work/vids!

  • hmm, dont like the snare and bass drum at the same time in the chorus, it flattens out the beat and it dosent push the song along as it should, IMO.

  • from 3:43 - 3:53 ?

i'd disagree and find that to be an appropriate spot for it... IMO

  • no, from 1:43, the bassdrum remove alot of the crack from the snare, and it just sounds flat. that 3:45 semi double bass things is cool.

  • Decent drumming, but these songs are fucking lame, lol.

  • this song isnt lame. it's about emotionality!!!

  • The song sucks.

But a drummer like Jeff Porcaro could make it listenable.

He has a history of doing that.

Songs I normally wouldn't like I could listen to because of Jeff's playing.

    Man, he was the best.

  • relax man. i agree, the song does suck. i just wanted to use the word emotionality in a sentence lol

  • i agree

  • if your a drummer you need to keep an open mind about all styles of music

i'm more of a hardcore kinda person but i listen to evrey thing just to get better at the drums it helps alot trust me

  • i definately agree. it's good to learn other kinds of styles. it does help you learn different varieties to develop your own unique style.

  • Wow i've read some of the comments posted on here and i can't believe some of the people, "play some hardcore music"

I love this kind of music and i love hardcore it annoys me when people stick to certain styles be adventurous

Well done dude you rock that kit

  • Absolutely BEAUTIFUL drumming dude!!

  • im gonna have to agree with you, not really my type of music but beautifully written on drums

  • Comment removed

  • such a gay song lol PLAY SOME HEAVY HARDCORE STUFFS BRO!!!

  • drummer is one of the best ive ever seen how the hell does he pull it off ?!

  • With practice and talent =)

And if this is the best you've ever seen check out Neil Peart...he's out of this world

  • what type of AAX crashes are those!? (stage, studio, xplosion... etc?)

  • the song is kindda emo. .but the drummer makes it cool. .he shows no effort while playing but you can sense the feeling. .i ahvent played drums for months. .waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. .:(

  • I played drums for the first time a few months back on my school's drum kit, and i was surprised i could carry some beats. I was wondering whether anyone here from canada can give me an average cost of a drum kit, i can't find the pricing anywhere, plz reply

I am looking into buying an acoustic drum kit down the road some months later, i would be using ride cymbals a lot, and I hope someone can give me a brief estimate on how much the drum kit would cost with top of the line ride cymbals.

  • getting even an OK set anywhere is gonna be atleast 400 unless you get it used, mines used, but no damage, just needs new heads and i got mine for 240. but it just depends on brand, and whether you get a 4, 5, or 7 pc set. most sets don't come with rides, it's usually a add on thing

  • just got a sweet as pearl export chrome for about 150 USD!

  • hey man, i live in Canada too. i just bought a new Westbury kit from the music store for ruffly 550 dollars, then spent an extra 200 on a extra crash and a ride. i dont know what kinda kit you would like but that a good beginner kit the store worker recommended that to me, and it sound good. hope might help ya

  • for the most part drummers only have one ride, top of the line can run you like 500-600$ drum kit wise, all depends where u buy, brand and level of that bran, pearl for instance ranges from like 500-a few thousand$

  • sexy snare

  • this guy like men.

  • the singer likes men. this guy is cool

  • a zildjian hi-hat between all these sabian cymbals. lol

  • what makes you laugh about that?

  • Man, this guy makes drummming look so easy.

  • what song he's playing???

i mean who's the singer and the title of the song???

    pls....can any1 tell me???

  • its in the descriptino of the video

  • just read the description dude LOL

  • gay ass song

  • mean drumming, gay music

  • If I was playin this song, I would have used my ride at :56 instead of the high hat! That's just me though! Solid drummer none the less!

  • yeah true that

  • it's a fairly quiet song, and just after that he has to shut the hi-hat, they probably wanted a quiet moment in there, and the ride would have left some noise going over

  • Yeah true! I'm just saying what I would have done. Everyone had different taste. Thats what makes music so amazing. What sounds good to me might sound like shit to others! Thats what I love about music, there is no wrong opinion!

  • I don't know. There are just some songs no one likes. =D

But it so true. I am a bit of a prick when it comes to music, cause if it isn't pop-punk. Chances are I hate it. But that's because without I feel I am missing something, I love my kit, real vocals, nice bass, nice not over the top guitar. But that's just me. =D

  • what kind of bass pedals are those?

  • They kinda look like Tama Iron Cobras or dw 5000's! It's hard to tell!

  • Wow he needs some new drum heads!

  • haha yea they are pretty worn. so are mine lol.

  • what song is this?

  • Hastings: All these things and more

  • thanks

  • how much does a drum set like this usually cost?

  • If u want a good set with 4 toms e.g sonor delight... with no snare i think u got to pay almost 2000-2500 €... i don´t know in dollar!^^

  • well if you just get a shell pack with hardware it'll probly run about 7 or 8 hundred but if it's just a shell pack then probly 400 but it dependz on brand...

  • smooth

  • i like the beginning when the hi hat opens =)

  • zzzzz..... the other guy from vids 1-3 was better

  • great drumming but the song???...

  • love this song......can ne body give me the drum tabs fr this song......??
