  • Dear SOPA,

    This.

  • i wonder what the kid done...

  • @RJRelentless675 My guess was always that he was a Cabin Boy and was just sentenced by association. He might have even been born into piracy, who knows, but this scene always got to me.

Of course, its not hard to believe that he may have run a few people through during his time on a pirate ship.

  • The RIAA and MPAA cannot wait to exact this power over the populace when they're no longer content suing broke parents and dear old grandmothers. The chains restraining them have long since broken.

  • Lord Beckett: You know I was lying when I said I liked it when you stated the obvious?

  • man I love this part

  • @Halick We should!

  • Comment removed

  • i have to say that the little boy was cute for a pirate lol.... i like the song but i don't like this part of the movie its kinda sad

  • The House and it’s men Stole the internet from her bed and bound her in her codes. The web be ours and by the powers where we will, we’ll post. Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the colors high. Heave ho, ops and bloggers, Never shall we die. Some sites have died and some sites are alive and others protest in black With the IP address to the cage, and the Devil to pay We lay to Fiddler’s Green! The bell has been raised from it’s possible grave Do you hear it’s sepulchral tone We are a call to all
  • @Seagazer81892.. I demand your comment to become a top comment! O_O

  • We should sing outside the senate when Sopa is voted!

  • @Halick Good thing I'm not the only one that thinks of this song when talking about SOPA.

  • @Halick Great idea,Im game for it if everyone else is

  • The king and his men, stole the queen from her bed, and bound her in her bones. The sea is ours and by the powers, where we will, we'll roam.

  • i love this act of defiance

  • i dont know why anyone would dislike this this song is about joining together isnt that what everyone wants to be in peace no more wars like this if you argree

  • 2:03

    "Finally!"

    Like a Boss, sir !

  • Anyone else get chills?

  • @Wolfey180 yes

  • How did they film this part! Without hanging people?

  • 93 people had to be told that they were singing

  • 2:16 OwndDDdddddd

  • There is more poor people than guards why don't the charge and beat the crap out of them

  • @fatchewbacca1 Because their feet are chained together.

  • @Banchoking chains stoopid

  • @Smallwitz That's what I said. But if you mean that they can still move in chains, yeah, but they can't go faster than a slow walk so they can't exacly rush the guards. And why the insult? Was that really necessary?

  • FULL HD! I WANT FULL HD!

  • "They've started to sing, sir."

"Oh yeah its not like i'm 30 feet away and can't hear them....jackass..."

  • @DaDaDaaaa4 he is actually over 30 feet away from the gallows

  • @XtraFalcon

    ...you're missing the point

  • this is how they should sort out the shit ones that go on the x-factor

  • IF SOMEBODY WOULD SAMPLE THIS SONG FOR ME OMFG THIS SHIT WOULD GO TOO HARD!!!!! CRANK THIS SHIT TO 11 NOW!!!!

  • This is my chant against SOPA.

  • lord beckett they've started to sing sir

wow i did not notice that!

  • "Lord Beckett, they've started to sing, sir."

    "Well thank you, Captain Obvious."

    "You're welcome, Lieutenant Sarcasm."

"That's Lord Beckett to you, you degenerate!" *shoots him*

  • Why you cut it, right before the coin falls is the best part

  • why did the hang the powder monkey.

  • I just want to note that this is only the first half of the song. The other part is sung right after this in the movie by keira knightley.

  • wat i dont fully understand is y lord beckett says 'Finally.' anyone care ta explain???

  • @93TwiztidJuggalette he knows that the song has to be sung for the Court to be called, and he's been making the pirates' families suffer so he can destroy them

  • @LadyAmalthia15 ahhhh ok thanks :)

  • @93TwiztidJuggalette no problem ;)

  • @93TwiztidJuggalette The song was only meant to be sung when the nine lords were meant to meet. The song also means they had to call on Calipso the spirit they had binded

  • @jpcraig30 wat u said to 93 twiztidjuggalette u right but also is telling a messege to lord beckett and the rest of the navy

  • finally,motherf*cker beckett

  • the cut is actually well placed

  • not long enough

  • Thumbs up if you want this to be your country's national anthem.

  • @planetary109 thatd be awesome

  • Lord Beckett said 'Finally' because he's spent his entire career trying to find a kid that could sing better than Justin Bieber.

  • @planetary109 I would find one just by stepping out in the streets

  • @planetary109 every kid can sing better than Bieber... So your comment is actually a compliment to Bieber

  • this song is simply...haunting.

  • the only thing i disliked about these movies was that they were historically inaccurate at some parts but other than that these were awesome.

  • "Lord Beckett, they've started to sing, sir"

"Don't sing this shit, do you know any Slayer?"

  • Lord beckett really reminds me of frollo

  • Never shall we die!!!!!!!

  • 93 pirates were hung before they started to sing

  • @FCMinecraft well, it was a very cheering moment.

  • They started to sing sir

    Finnaly

    it was getting boring

  • The Call of the Brethren Court is made

  • "Never Shall we Die" BOOOM HEAD SHOT BiAAAAACH

  • Leave it to Hans Zimmer to create such a eerie song!! we'll done!

  • Such an awesome piece. Writing a pirate album for a production company and got crazy inspiration from this scene: /watch?v=AeCPV5QuPNA

  • dad gave me coins. Know i must carry him to his rest. this is his tune.long live the salty sea dog

  • funny thing is...thats actually a woman singing that for the boy...it's one of the producer's wive's

  • @BigJohnInFL75 no wonder i could sing like him

  • 1.57 - 2.03

    Captain Obvious.

  • Finally.

  • It's so sad that they killed that kid i feel like crying every time. :'(

  • This song has always given me chills everytime I hear it

  • @Lilsaintaz

    No shit, Sparrow XD

  • 00:37 start button

  • 00.37 start button

  • And then they all died.

  • My second favorite scene from the Pirates Trilogy. But nothing compares to the Underwater March from the first one. That was just EPIC!

  • "Lord Becett, they've started to... sing!" sounds like a line out of glee

  • Oh I thought that it was (Before I saw it all) Jack and he had escaped

  • 00:50 <--- START BUTTON.

  • I get chills whenever i watch this

  • It took me way too long to realise that this song is about the Pirate King sealing Calypso. "The king and his men stole a queen from her bed and bound her in her bones." Makes a lot more sense that singing it calls forth the Brethren Court, since it's ABOUT them.

  • yo - ho, haul together, hoist the colours hight...

heave ho, thieves and beggers, never shall we die

  • Lord Bekett they've started to sing sir.

    Lord Bekett: No Shit

  • i'll be honest....i got chills.

    Maddi

  • I know that kid.

  • this scene wreaks of despair and a symbol of no hope

  • He has braces

  • the akward moment when he goes "never shall we die" and then he dies...

  • this is the best scene ever!

  • im sry but it issnt the full song :/ but i realy like the song.

  • if u look really hard u can see the kids braces! lol

  • @sailingforever56 I dont believe it was braces as much as makeup or a tooth cover that made the teeth look rotten and mistreated to symbolize both the poverty and condition of the people held prisoner and the possible mistreatment of said prisoners.

  • CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW!!!

    FTW!!!

  • Learning to play this on my ocarina. Hope I can get it to sound even 1/4 as moving as this.

  • Soldier: Lord becket, They've started to sing.

    Me: No fuck dude

  • 1:46

  • I dont understand, why 90 dis-like?

  • @prinsabdiDanmark probably hate the scene 'cause it gave them nightmares. XD this scene gave me chills. I will always always love this movie~ Amazing director, amazing cast

  • 2:18 ... "DONT KILL HIM! He sings better than Justin Bieber". :O

    Haha.

No but this is a very powerful scene in this awesome movie. Just as said above, it just makes you wanna sing it together with the whole world.

  • @51TGM71 Ahahaha, we were playing this at work, and I was showing a member TVs and was like, "Here's a great and horrid example of the amazing picture this TV has...." and yea, not the greatest of scenes to be playing when showing off a tv, rofl.

  • FULL SCENE?YOUR A PHONY A BIG FAT PHONY

  • "Lord Beckett! they started to sing"

"Finally....now tell them sing justin bieber "baby" next"

-whisper- "lord beckett...more like lord faggkett"

  • poor kid!

  • ok a few things here 1 how u think the kid would feel if no1 else sang with him? lol 2 this is a great song but its better in the movie than the ST just because it sounds more haunting and dramatic ;D and 3 would you guys wanna do this with me as like a flash mob? i'd start so dont worry bout it i'd just need more ppl like at the mall or something reply with your answer and dont forget to hoist the colours! lol

  • This is disney, right?

  • Some men have died and some are alive and others sail on the sea – with the keys to the cage... and the Devil to pay we lay to Fiddler's Green! The bell has been raised from it's watery grave... Do you hear it's sepulchral tone? We are a call to all, pay head the squall and turn your sail toward home! R
  • R[Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die.] The king and his men stole the queen from her bed and bound her in her Bones. The seas be ours and by the powers where we will we'll roam. R
  • that one naval officer who is reading the sentence is really handsome. groves is too btw!! <3

  • Why can't modern day pirates be as awesome and amazing as this???

  • This gives me chills every time. Once the little boy sings..it's like..ahhhh. Intense! I don't even have to look at it for it to be completely epic. Amazing scene!!!

  • the kid has braces! i just noticed thats x)

  • @gamegurl711 pretty sure its just dirty teeth

  • wouldn't it be better when Beckett says: "no shit sherlock" ?

  • @LUKLL1 it's No Dip Sherlock

  • If you pay attention to the words that the boy sings, is he perhaps singing about calypso...? It does look like he's holding one of the pieces of eight after all...

  • @randomvidguy231 thats what the song is about. its about how the court bound calypso in human form and about the ritual.

  • "Never shall we die"

    *Pulls lever*

Im pretty sure you're dead -.-

Sadly i was expecting a dance off between the pirates and EITC guards.

  • I'm gonna go watch this after i finish the lego pirates

  • i love pirates

  • ah awesome but awww poor kid :(

  • lord becket! theyve started to sing, sir.

ME: oh really? no shit dude i did not notice that thank you

  • To me this is one of the most powerful scenes in the pirates Saga. It Very accurately captures an atmosphere of an extremely dark nature, couple with power. Its unlike anything Iv ever seen in the sense that for a scene of extras it brings out this fear that you just feel in the core of your chest. It shows the strength in numbers against two common enemies, the East India Trading Company (symbolised by Lord Becket) and Death itself. Unfortunately 'On Stranger Tides Failed to capture this.

    '

  • @phurdlernz1 actually, i feel on stranger ties did a good job continuing on this. 3 was about defeating becket, and overcoming one of those enemies. 4 was about Jacks quest to defeat the second enemy mentioned, Death itself. however, i do agree with you on the fact that they failed miserably capturing the grim atmosphere this scene had. just differing opinions though.

  • @riku12345122 Yeah I would agree with that. I suppose Just watching that scene alone rather than watching the movies in sequence may create a different experience or perception into how you recieve the information or emotion. Im going to watch the movies again shortly so I guess I'll see where everyone is coming from.

  • @phurdlernz1 Good point you have there. Personally I thought 'On Stranger Tides' didn't need to capture this. Whereas this movie is very dark and character driven, 'On Stranger Tides' went back to that adventurous nature seen in the first movie. The Trilogy, had a continuing story that was dark in nature. The 4th film wasn't very good but brought back what I'm sure everyone wanted. More Sparrow. Also the changing in directors might be why the 4th film didn't have this tone.

  • @phurdlernz1 So did the other ones.

  • @phurdlernz1 faggot

  • @456dbj Cool your jets son those are big words your using there. Now why dont ya sit down with someone and talk out some of your worries. You gotta understand that when you dont have anything nice to say you shouldn't say anything; you'll learn that when you get to pre school. Now I think the issue here is that you dont understand some of the words used in my comments. There's a special book called a dictionary which you may find meaning to my words. no run along and play, dont pester the adults

  • @phurdlernz1 i volunteer to teach him colors and shapes.

  • @phurdlernz1 Your essay receives a score of 78 because it was not double spaced nor in MLA format. Redo by Thursday this week and I will give you an 88.

  • @User2308117 haha ok. I admittedly am terrible when it comes to spelling, grammer or anything formal. c's get degrees, I'll take the 78%!

  • this first scene just show you how serious things are getting for all Pirates...shit are about to go down.

  • "Lord Beckett,They've started to sing,sir."

"No dur sherlock, what was your first clue?"

    "S-sorry sir."

    "Captain"

    "Sir?"

    "Shut up"

    "Yes sir."

  • @samantha12345678909 hehehehehehe

  • I rewound the movie like 5 times to sing along to this song. This scene is so sad! But the song has great depth and meaning to it that I love.

  • i was singing this while playing PotBS.

  • wow... i got this one book a couple years ago and it had this song in it. i didnt know it was in this movie awseome

  • best pirate song ever besides 'i gotta jar of dirt' and'you are a pirate' i could sing this song all day!

  • I for one think the entire thing is just beautiful. How people in their time of crisis can come together, even though the end is near. It makes me cry every time I watch.

  • "Never shall we die... Oh shit I died!"

  • i found it rather funny that at 1:54 all the royal guards back off..

  • LMAO at the fat lady at 1:46 .

  • Its sung with a sense of irony as they are about to hang but indeed thieves and beggars, as a class, shall never die.

  • Make the video HD please

  • 'Lord Beckket they've... started to sing, Sir.'

'No shit? You figured that out yourself?'

  • its just good business!

  • For 2:18 minutes, I was a pirate

  • There is only ONE reason that this ONE guy made ONE account and uploaded ONE video and gets ONE million plus views.... ONE hell of an epic scene!

  • @thedarkknight330 2 videos! the other one has 2 views xD

  • soon to be sung again, this time for real

  • PIRATES ARE WAY BETTER THAN NINJAS! PIRATES AND LANDLUBBERS UNITE!!

  • Unity into death. Pirates forever !
