And there are a few hints and connections in RDR´s game world they are just hard to find But I have played 800/1000 Hours of Red dead redemption and I´d say there loosely linked. @TristanJacksonTV Rockstar didnt even make half of revolver dumbass, capcom did. R star bought the rights after capcom dropped it and prettty much just finished it. Uncle is NOT red harlow, and is in no way related to John. Youll also notice he doesnt have the facial scars of Red. Twin rocks on Red dead was a easter egg and slight tribute to revolver, just as the Red dead revolver content pack was. John Marstons scars and hat was also a nod to Red harlow. BTW uncle is not johns real uncle.

@TristanJacksonTV Rights dont mean shit, point is capcom made most of it, and you did say it was related by talking about twin rocks and red being uncle. One way you can tell he isnt is, you know the scars on john and reds face? Youll notice no hair grows their, thats because they got cut to the point the hair follicles were ruined, hence, hairlessness in that area, and it never heals to where you can grow hair again. Youll see uncle has a full beard with no marks.

Good review kid, but you may want to invest in a tripod :P. I have to do the TV thing on my reviews, but a tripod helps. Come to think of it, I think you're the only one that actually has a review of this game. Now I just have to know: Obviously Red Dead Redemption is a type of sequel to this. But what do the two stories and characters have in common? Because I think Red and John Marston look a helluva lot alike, and it's killing me not knowing if it's him or not.

@courperationX Actually believe it or not its not related, rockstar had a big western game planned out for a while. This was originally being made by capcom when they dropped it about halfway through, rockstar saw it as an opportunity to try out a western style game a bit and picked it up. I guess rockstar made john and red a bit alike as an easter egg or something, but no, they are in no way related.

Personally, I thought revolver was an absolutely terrible game. Its hard to make a good western game. At the same time we dont see many of them. I mean outside of this, Gun, the new Red Dead and some old NES games, I cant really think of many more. Lead and Gold is good but its multiplayer only. Gun is still one of the best westerns out there. If your looking for something to hold you over till you get Redemption, or you just finished it and need a little more, get Gun. Amazing game.

After playing the GTA games in the mid-2000's, I saw every game with a Rockstar label on it as a Free Roaming, do-what-you-want sorta deal, and I was heavily disappointed when I found this game and it was extremely arcadey with troublesome gameplay. GUN, however, really quenched my thirst for that Spaghetti Western experience and I seriously can't wait to get my hands on Redemption.
