I woke up this morning to see the same thing with my Black Moor Google........ Eye is completely gone - judging by the injury its very clean, suggesting it was sucked out. Now theres only 2 things that could do that - my pleco and/or my uncapped Eheim 2215 filter intake.
I'm thinking it was the 2215 - I feel so sorry for him =/
I have two one eyed goldfish =P A one eyed calico Shubunkin from Petco and a one eyed calico Telescope eye goldfish fom Petsmart. They are very interesting to watch. My Shubunkin will swim leaning to one side so his good eye can see either the top of the water or the gravel when hes searching for food.
i have the same 1 im going to kill kine cause it was shedding skin and his eye fell off at 1st i thought it was still there just covered by the skin until i saw him today his eye was missing both

Poor fish :( I got a black moor goldfish a few hours ago. Turns out they have very poor eyesight
