No the reason I posted that comment was because there are SO MANY AWESOME bands playing Today. They're not the ones you hear on the radio. They are the underground ones. Operation Ivy wasn't on the radio until long after they broke up, and can you imagine, if 1989, you were a misfits fan in SO CAL, and you didn't go to an Op Ivy show just because you thought the music died 8 years earlier? You would have missed out! Go see some local bands, or START ONE!

Glenn is one of the greatest punk singers ever, but you'd never guess it from this clip...his enunciation is so bad here, he could have swapped the song lyrics for "doop dap dip dah dah doop dip" and it wouldn't have sounded much different. And the guitar playing is all over the place - Jerry makes a real hash of the melody. A great song like "Skulls" deserves better than a slap-dash performance like this.

New Misfits are coming to Aust. early next year, reckon it's worth going? I haven't heard heaps of their stuff, but I always like going to a fun gig, and any music I haven't heard is just a bonus. Is the new band pretty hectic live?

@counttosixanddie46 well it kinda technically is... btw 90 pct of "punk bands" didn't dress nearly as "punk" as half the kids out there ... what is punk music ranged anywhere from death metal to thrash to this type of music which is what i knew of as punk music growing up but in reality "Punks" listened to a wide range of music usually all metal often with a slightly softer edge to it.

If you are arguing if a band is punk or not, if you are more punk than somebody else, etc... Then you are a poseur. Punk is about being who you are, liking what you like because it entertains you; not because it is classified under the term "punk." Like if you agree!

No the reason I posted that comment was because there are SO MANY AWESOME bands playing Today. They're not the ones you hear on the radio. They are the underground ones. Operation Ivy wasn't on the radio until long after they broke up, and can you imagine, if 1989, you were a misfits fan in SO CAL, and you didn't go to an Op Ivy show just because you thought the music died 8 years earlier? You would have missed out! Go see some local bands, or START ONE!

Good music will always be like beauty, it's in the eye's (or ear's) of the beholder. Though, I will always hold strongly to this song as it was a favorite of mine from from when I got into punk, back in 1989. I may be dated, but I've never let it go.

@dfeels123 i agree lol im a 32 year old misfits fan.been a fan since 1994.i got 2 misfits tattoos and 2 trunks full of misfits/samhain merchandise including vinyl.the greatest period for the misfits will ALWAYS be the 1977-1983 era without question.thats when the misfits were the most REAL.anyone thinking that graves is better than danzig is most likely a teenager.i cant imagine someone my age thinking graves is better lol maybe the jakeal guy is high on dust.

@dfeels123 danzig sings better than graves.writes WAY WAY better lyrics.has a better voice.every classic misfits song is great.all of them....the american psycho/famous monsters albums have a few good songs but some terrible songs like the 'walk among us' totally fuckin corny.i dont like the fiend club song either.its fuckin corny lol nothing can surpass the greatness of that '77-'83 misfits era.its just not possible.notice that when they reformed in 1995 they asked danzig first? lol

Glenn is one of the greatest punk singers ever, but you'd never guess it from this clip...his enunciation is so bad here, he could have swapped the song lyrics for "doop dap dip dah dah doop dip" and it wouldn't have sounded much different. And the guitar playing is all over the place - Jerry makes a real hash of the melody. A great song like "Skulls" deserves better than a slap-dash performance like this.
