It did remind me of Brian Eno almost immediately, but it was not "Music for Airports." It was more like "Music for Films" and his later work with Harold Budd, especially "Balthus Bemused by Colour." Also Peter Baumann's Private Music phase outside of Tangerine Dream. Anyway, being compared to those geniuses is no small feat!
Glad you liked it:) I don't own that album (yet) but I'm familiar with it as one of the earliest great pieces of ambient genre. Interesting you bring that up since Robert Wyatt plays piano in Airport Music, the same who is featured in some nice Pink Floyd tracks.
These hour-long pieces of tranquil music like Airport and JMJ Waiting For Cousteau are one of my favorites.
