  • SO HOT AND I'M A GUY

  • I can't believe this argument is still raging. Grow up or tune out.

  • SELLOUT!

  • @LAdumpsterbaby CHILD!

  • @LAdumpsterbaby Fuck you dumb slut

  • THIS KICKS ASS!

  • Gabel is getting older, but he still sings just as crass and as harsh as he did in his teens. Age hasn't dulled his fire and pure desire to piss people off. Between him and Brian Fallon, these are the artists we'll tell our kids about; the voice of a generation.

  • everybody so concerned with making value judgments ....... just listen it people!!

  • ha that's hilarious and im glad he's so horribly afflicted

  • can anyone tell me what their song is that has the lyrics "everything's gonna be alright" like about a hundred times and he's practically screamin it but of course its fucking glorious

  • @war8256 I think that you mean: Turn Those Clapping Hands Into Angry Balled fists

  • fuck this guy is a good songwriter. no one else can make 3 chords sound so good

  • This owns the New Wave version.

It's funny, Against Me! are the last band I ever imagined would allow their sound to be ruined by over production, yet hearing this version is the first time I have honestly enjoyed this song. It's a shame.

  • tom is so pretty

  • the microphones are set up poorly it shouldnt be in front of the sound hole or angled up.

  • why's that? like i'm trying to get in to doing that kind of stuff, so if you could explain that more that'd be awesome, thanks man.

but i can tell it does make it sound kinda shitty, like you don't get the full tone out of it.

  • well its kind of a matter of what sounds the best to you. But for recording acoustic guitar its best to have one mic placed around the bridge of the guitar and one placed at the neck to get an even stereo image and get all the reflections of the guitar. But like i said its a matter of taste thats just a starting point so just try it out and adjust to get your desired sound.

  • id say that the mic signal is barley even being used, just ambience probably, noticed how its also D.I'd. He probably didn't want a clunky 57 all up in his grills

  • This is much better than the

    album electric version

  • agreed

  • hell no it is not.

  • Hell yes it is.

  • I'm not trying to demean him (I enjoy Against Me!), but does anyone else think that he's straining too much to achieve those vocals?

  • All I know is this version completely owns the against me version. No, I don't think he's straining to much. He has a naturally awesome voice it would seem.

  • thats how you sing songs about rebellion, anarchy and revolution.....dumbass!.......huh...vocal stress my ass!

  • I like the use of the word dumbass with the exclamation point at the end. Really helps to describe your assertiveness towards your belief that I'm an idiot for making an observation towards his vocal style, completely ignoring the first statement I made in the previous comment of mine. Well done.

  • yeh whatever.....You suck!

  • Another remarkable response! So much character when you tell me that I suck and yet leave the reason for why I suck ambiguous. You astound me.

  • Just because you have better grammer, doesn't make you right.

  • it's a good thing or else you'd definitely be wrong right now.

  • nah

  • nope

  • His guitar is tuned down a half step for this version thats pretty cool

  • awesome, but holy shit, turn up the guitar.

  • it's an acoustic guitar.

  • with a mic on it.

  • the guitar has pickups

  • Tom has this disease where he can't sing quietly.

  • sounds like a good disease.

  • If I remember, it's called "Cocaine."

  • no cocaine, just talent

  • just a little cocaine. cocaine and soda.

  • well...maybe pot, perhaps, cocaine... ok yeah, cocaine was probably involed lmao.

  • nope. cocaine, soda, tetris and haikus. that's how he can sing so good.

  • idk what haikus is but sure... lol

  • lol. Haikus are Japanese poems. I don't think there is a drug called Haiku... Hell, you never know though.

  • i think he might tom reads haikus. not sure. in the song Beggining in an Ending tom sings, "playing tetris in our underwear..." and "i read a haiku and u move ur nails across my leg..." idk

  • Oh yeah, maybe.

  • LMAO!! I know, that's crazy! I have never heard him sing quietly. He has probably broken a couple Ribbon mics in his time.

  • haha he'd never use ribbons. his voice would tear them apart

  • whats it really called?

  • theres no disease that makes you not sing quietly.... lol.... but it's better to sing your heart out instead of just be silent :P

  • Thrash Unreal... wait, do u mean the song?

  • Awesome freekin' job, nice to hear that tom still fucking rocks solo.

  • love love Tom Gabel

  • right on da money.
