It's funny, Against Me! are the last band I ever imagined would allow their sound to be ruined by over production, yet hearing this version is the first time I have honestly enjoyed this song. It's a shame.

well its kind of a matter of what sounds the best to you. But for recording acoustic guitar its best to have one mic placed around the bridge of the guitar and one placed at the neck to get an even stereo image and get all the reflections of the guitar. But like i said its a matter of taste thats just a starting point so just try it out and adjust to get your desired sound.
