I have a question. I got a sew-in and the lady braid my edges to tight. so my question is what should i do to grow my edges back before i take my sew-in out?
@Sh3lli3R It may take time for your edges to grow back if the tightness has taken them out. I would suggest using diluted castor oil. (dilute with other light oils such as jojoba) and make sure to keep any stress off of them in the future.
I'm on my stretch and I decided to do a protective style(box braids). Well I did it and I realized after the 11/2hrs..in some sections I had some thin ends. I'm think of doing a good long stretch. So here's the question. I'm MBL and I'm wondering should I cut my hair to allow it to come back together? Or not? What do you think @missthis887
@allakayefranxoxo Im super late im just now seeing your comment. Do you mean that you have a thin section in your hair and your wondering if you should trip it all to the same length? In box me.
Hi, I'd like to ask some advice? Two nights ago I did a rollerset on dry hair, and it came out really nice the next day. Fluffy and bouncy. (My hair is neck length). But last night I decided to use some leave-in conditioner (quite a lot) and some oil to seal... this morning my hair was a disaster!!! It was dry and crispy. SOO much breakage!!! :(
How do you maintain a curly style so it lasts a few days? I'm concerned that using my usual conditioner will destroy my curls, as I can't spray it on.
@MsMary123100 Hey there! It sounds like you may have had an overload from the leave in. Some times too much product can strip the hair and leave it dry. For my curly styles I will usually pin curl the curls, or just tuck them under my satin bonnet. For moisture you can use the oil only or use maybe a quarter sized amount on ur entire head.
I love the way ur braid out turned out full of body and volume...u r my hair-spiration!! LOL!! I love the braid out look on me as well but unfortunately everytime I do one I get lots more shedding then usual when I detangle my hair :( So I now opt to doing bantu knots which goves my great (looser) waves that I love!!
PS...ur makeup looks great too...what lipstick r u wearing?
I have those same rollers and use them the same way sometimes. you are doing great with your stretch. I am waiting for you to tell ME you are transitioning to Natural.lol Your hair looks beautiful keep it up girlie.
@KLT828 Thanks so much. The rollers come in so handy! LOL Im gonna take it day by day im almost 9 months post (this wk) so we will see what the next few months will bring. Everyday I think about the pos and neg of it but the pos always outweight the neg so we will see.
@LongHairDontCareLLC LMBO!! Im taking it day by day. I will be 9 months post this week so im excited about that. I dont want to rush it yet so for now im gonna ride beside you in the "indefinate stretch " boat until I get around 11months post LOL.
@MyPureBeauty10 Normally I would do it on my hair when its about 75% dry but this time i wanted to try something different. I noticed that the "krinkle" was looser this time as opposed to when I do it on 75% dry hair the hair has time to "set" a deeper "krinkle"
Wow, I sooo can't wait to get to your length, I'm almost there and I have been keeping my natural hair straight because I think this can help some hair types grow faster.
@MsChanteJ72 Hey lady! Im still "stretching" as of now. I want to make it to atleast 11 months and see what state my hair is in before I change the title to transitioning.
Wow your hair is so long, beautiful!
