nah i dont use them.. waste of money i think.. Altho smart.. But i didnt use one And mines worked for about a year now =D Thicker the wire the less use of a resistor needed =)
depends on the voltage of the leds, get like, 2.5-3 volt leds and you shouldnt need one, if you are hookin them up to the batterys power sorce use a little more than 3 volts
@ktmorange08 you don't need a resistor as long as the led you chose to use is above 3.0v cause the controller(both batterys put out 1..5vx2 is 3v total)
I dont know the size ass long ass they fit in your guide button i suggest small assorted LED's at Radio Shack just ask them and thell tell you where to go
Ok so let me get this striaght you trade the vibration for leds? And you dont need to connect the leds to a other power source, just to where the tumblers would be?
which side is the positive and negative?
runescapefreek88 1 year ago
@runescapefreek88 pos is towards the middle, im doing the mod right now except not the guide button just an led poking out the side

can you make it to where the left side lights up when the left motor goes off and same with the right? that would be a cool concept

do you need to remove the rumble packs?
darkalyn 2 years ago
When you rumble activate the led, do you need a resistor? I've seen some with resistors and without.
ktmorange08 2 years ago
it depends on the volt of the led if you use 3 volt then your fine thats what i usually use and would recomend if your new to this

how many led's did u put in the guide button?
wmucker93 2 years ago
i only did one. just so that my battery last longer and dont die faster =)
SnappingSpider 2 years ago
LED lights use almost no power, they wont drain your battery. thats why most appliances use LEDs to indicate they are out of battery
