sorry mate but then germany would be a big ecological hole. 95% from the german anglers put the carp back into the water and our country have no problem with the economy. now you could say thats forbidden to release a carp or so what but thats my decision. i'm interested to know what the carps in your country exactly do with your economy and whether its simply in australia or in germany too?

in australia carp are a feral animal to suggest we put them back would be ecologically irasponsible they over run our river systems erode river banks compete with our native fish which are slower growing so if throwing them on the bank to die makes me a wanker well thats a tag im happy to wear sorry but that pisses me off regards the great wanker

thats right mate i went camping over easter up near warren nsw the only natives i caught were eeltail catfish was hoping to catch some yellow bellies plenty of stinking carp though i dont think our friends in the northern hemisphere understand what damage these fish do cheers for the support

gday mate i understand you 100% i know the recreational fishing industry in england and europe is huge and rightly so you love your carp fishing there obviously a sport fish the size they get massive but in oz they are feral dont suit our eco system compete with native fish grow quicker than native fish erode our banks stir sedement you love your fishing me too id rather catch a 20 kilo murray cod on live yabby than 20 kilo carp on a corn kernal or pink maggot i dont know how they got here shame

20 kilo Cod! sounds like fun. ive been sea fishing once and loved it, caught mackeral sea bass and dirty dog fish, which just dont fight and kick off in the boat, any fishing really dead baiting for pike or live bait for catfish any type is good. im guessing the carp cause the erosion and eat other fish spawn with there aggressive feeding it is a shame there great fish, but eco systems are so fragile the smallest change can be so drastic, Zander did a similar thing in our rivers. tight lines.

yeah but murray cod are fresh water fish they grow huge and must be caught and released in my view there is no need to catch em for eating much better for the sport they must have got there name from australias largest in land river system the murray darling rivers which is over run with youno whats carp make a good fertilizer and they feed them to pigs i believe any way happy fishing if i ever get up north id like a go at a big pike they look like an awsome predator cheers
