Yeah...5700 sounds about right, back in the day a Sony 50 in. lcd would run ya about a cool 4 g's.... the 28 in. monitor woulda ran ya about 400. So 1300 for the watercooled pc with a crap AMD processor (80 bucks) sounds about right! anyway nice build , man! keep up the good work

Got a question. I have the same MOBO. I have an athlonX2 5200+ OC'd from 2.6 to 3.01. I was wondering how high u are pushing your FSB, volts and multipliers under water cooling. Can you go higher than 224 ? Thats as far as i think i can go on air. (224, 13.5 multi = 2997 - 3010mhz)

Should i go to 225 and drop the multiplier or will i need water cooling to go any higher?

Im a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff and dont wanna blow myself up :)

Mind if I ask if I could push my CPU that high on air cooling? Before you say it, my heatsink isn't bad. It's a TRUE Copper. Even so though, I'm a little bit worried about electron mitigation happening too quickly. What kind of vCore should I be prepared to go up to before it gets dangerous, and should I bother trying to do it with my FSB still at 225Mhz?

Most people can't get this processor even past 3.1 unless they have a great experiece, and IT is not the same thing as computer hardware. So of course if he went to the places that you worked he mignt not get a job. Also, my case is exactly the same as the above. Linux you are very immature and call us young, get a life please. That CPU was extremely hard to overclock when it first came out and MANY people over at xtremesystems couldnt hit 3.4ghz because of the old chipsets and the lack of knowledge with the ACC

One of my friends who is an attorney spends at least 5k every couple of years on nice Alienware computers, last year he bought a 5k desktop and a 4k laptop. A gaming rig is a luxury item. He isn't marketing his services to the low budget crowd. Nice system....

Except for the processor, my computer owns that XD (my cpu is only a phenom x4 9850).

If you really want to boast, get a couple of SSDs in raid-0. Velociraptors are good too for other stuff that needs semi-fast speeds, i have one, and as far as mechanical rotating technology designed 50 years ago goes, it's good.

If you don't limit yourself to SATA SSDs, but include PCI-e you have drives like ioDrive from FusionIO wich gives 700MB/s read, 600MB/s write (@16k random), 100 000 random read/write IOPS, about 50µs accesstime (that's 0,05ms) compared to about 5ms for velociraptors. ONE HUNDRED TIMES faster

Sorry gullars but no SSDs do not beat everything. They beat it by ALOT on read speeds (great for booting your OS) But for write speeds nothing except an INTEL (yup thats right only one SSD beats the velociraptor) SSD which costs 600 dollars for 60 GBs of space. Hehehe the price is kinda horible.

i think its because of the 50" monitor lol. 3.2 ghz is weak for that kinda cooling. I have mine clocked at 3.1ghz on a $50 tuniq tower.. full load peaking at 42C and my system was barely over 1k.
