Wow.... Fantastic. The way you draw out the final chords is that you made it your own.
Unique and different..What an effect though with that space and resonance. The whole performance was so enjoyable and so I thank you ! Brilliant..Loved it....
Excecuted very well... You should be very proud of yourself. A long peice played with few mistakes (difficult especially when you know that it is being recorded!). I thought that the tempo suited the accoustics and that your registrations were spot on... well done.
Hi James! This is Peter Shepherd from Oundle- I just want to say some very fine playing there- although I didn't recognise you at first! I wouldn't personally slow down the middle section, but I guess everyone has different preferences. Great sense of mood, though, and the overall speed was brilliant- but you're probably playing completely new pieces now... how's the Vierne going?
HI! It's Peter Shepherd from Oundle- but I don't remember your first name- Alex..? Fine playing here. I would personally not slow down the middle section at all, but everyone has different preferences. How's the Vierne Finale going?
James, You're welcome ! I give concerts on the Cavaille-Coll organ in the Notre Dame, Paris. My own organ is located in the Dom church, Utrecht, Netherlands :) It's a 3 manual mechanical organ :)
Excellent playing! I love the 32' pitch in the pedals in the final... stanza(?). Sorry I am not much of a music nerd but I did detect a lot of sub-bass underneath the chords at the end. Sounded like a contrabombard.
I actually think this is one of the best recordings Ive heard of this piece as of yet, the absolute perfect registration and tempo, the acoustics sound perfect too! Must be a right bright young chap! Welldone!
Your registration and awareness of the acoustics is far greater than many other 'celeb' 'wannabe' organists. Despite the (I assume) basic recording eqiupment, this is really good.
Having played the organ in the wig-wam, I think your speed is fast and yet completely in tune with the building, especially in a piece like the Dubois, whic requires an inate sense of 'space'.
Really well done. I throughly enjoyed this. You need to pat yourself on the back Mr.
Very nice work, James. I've grown up listening to recordings of the monster up the street from here. But everything I've heard on this instrument convinces me there are TWO masterpieces in Liverpool. Jeremy Filsell's recording of the Cochereau improv, on La Marseillaise on this organ is one of the most amazing recordings I've ever heard.

He's a intelligent lad and some how manages to get the tempo right. U play with the building I don't think it's too fast at all.
