  • 1 DISLIKE MY ASS WHO EVER DISLIKED I SHALL COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND SHANK U IN DE LITTLE SLEEP OF YOURS!!!

  • AWESOMENESS SONG !!!

  • I love how the other brothers don't even try to compete with Michael when doing the robot..LOL!

  • AWSOME!!!

  • 6 Jackson?

  • @ayukawa01

The little one on the bongos is Randy. He's not an original member of the Jackson 5 but regularly started performing with they from 1972. They never changed their name to Jackson 6 (or Jackson 5 and a half ) though.

In 1976, they left Motown and started a new group ' The Jacksons'. Randy was now an official member of the group and Jermaine (in the yellow-green-ish outfit with the bassguitar) left the group.

  • @kiekerc Thanks 4 the data :)

  • i remeber the snippet they took from this in the moonwalker vhs. ahh good times

  • I miss the real king. He went before his time.

  • mike killing it they cant fuc with him he was the star of the group without him they wouldnt have made it

  • Love this piece. Music, dancing, singing, etc... IT ALL ROCKS!!!

  • ok, this is PHENOMENAL! but watch the Jacksons Variety show version of this. I just like the faster tempo a little better and Michael is older in it and totally NAILED the spin and robot even better than here :) either way, the jackson brothers own

  • i love you my honey michael! mwah! xoxoxo

  • Yo the jacksons were so hot that they started to sing and the people couldnt stop clapping

  • i tried 2 do michaels head whip at 0:53....& i hurt my damn neck LOL

  • who is the one thatt dont likes this!!!!!!!! may be a michael hater, what a stupid person!!!! xD

  • Thanks for this!

  • i luved the 30th anniversary performance better but this waz amaaaaazziingg

  • I'm trippin. That looks just like Prince Michael up there doin' the robot! He looks just like his daddy.

  • 1 IS A FUCKIN' IDIOT!!!!

  • Hehe, Tito's having a hard time trying to NOT hit Marlon with his guitar! XD

  • Talent to the power of 10

  • I think this is when I first fell in love with dance music!! I was a kid wearing bell bottoms and platform shoes, "getting down" in my childhood home in Brooklyn! Yes, I am that old!! And I'm proud of it!! I wish Michael could have lived a long healthy life instead of being snatched from us due to some stupid drug overdose. He didn't deserve that! Michael, you'll be missed forever!

  • its a shame michael was to cute here and he could control a stage, and at the same time this was the age where he felt the most insecure, but you would never notice it from his stage presence and confidence

  • lol that stage looks like it was gonna fall apart

  • He really had a lot of talent. My favorite Jackson song! Thanks!

  • Anyone know what show this was?

  • @COMPFUNK2 it looks like the Gong Show for some reason, that looks like the gong show set

  • You guys know you wanna do the robot!

  • Now thats a dancing machine

  • He IS singing this.....drop that shit.... and even if he wasnt who cares... ITS MICHAEL!

  • Even still can't nobody catch those boys!

  • they're simply amazing, I mean the had the look, the dance and the music what else do you want?

  • they don't have a lot of room to work with anyway, but still flawless

  • Amazing voice!:)

  • Slick moves at 1:00 thats how the robot's done

  • it sounds like mjs voice was js changing... thats too cute!

  • so cool

  • MIKEY BE GETTING HIS JAM ON!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i know thats right michael GET IT! he killin it! when i saw micheal i was like damn he was gone. i have a sister that hats on th jacksons his kids his enry thang but they was gone

  • i know thats right michael GET IT! he killin it!

  • Michael was skinny as fun, like wtf ? He scared the shit out of me doing the robot.

I get pissed when people compared Justin Biber to MJ, because that's like saying Mj was sorry as fuck and can be easily imitate, when the fuck he can't.

  • @mrLimaloui every 10 years they come with a new person to try and compare to Michael Jackson, like usher, justin timberlake, now justin bieber, give me a FUCKING BREAK!all three of them together cant hold a candle to my man MICHAEL JACKSON THE KING OF MUSIC! MAY HE R.I.P!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @misfrancis09 Justin Bieber is the worst comparison to Michael ever, because he cannot dance. The only person imitating Michael, that I give props to, is Chris Brown. But even he's not a Michael Jackson but he's better than most.

  • @mrLimaloui YOU ARE SO RIGHT ON ALL ACCOUNTS!, YOU KNOW MICHAEL JUST LIKE ME!!

  • I agree with the poster that said they like his seventies-era dancing better than anything else. I'll admit, he was still innovating in the eighties, but after that, everything was some frenetic locking. I personally think Dancing Machine was the height of his dancing artistry. If you look at all the clips of their performances of this song, everything is smooth and polished on that first Soul Train performance - but later performances incorporate DIFFERENT moves and faster pacing and improv.

  • @HHCassius I am totally feeling you, here. I think the folks like me who are in their "middle earlies" who grew up with the O.G. MJ tend to favor his mid/late 70s moves. They were more sensual, smooth and clean. It had the same eye-popping, breathtaking effect as JB's acrobatic/athletic moves of the mid-late 60s. MJ's 80s repertoire was snappier, more urgent, more electric, and it worked beautifully.

  • @HHCassius You'd take Dancing Machine over Billie Jean? To each his own but I think Billie Jean was the height of his dancing artistry. Smooth Criminal ranks up there high too. See those were original pieces whereas Dancing Machine incorporated moves that were popular. JMHO.

  • @KSitz77 I guess it's just a style thing. I've been hanging out with my father-in-law over the past year and guess I've developed a pseudo-nostalgia for smoother, more soulful grooves and dancing.

  • @HHCassius Yes it was nice no doubt about it. Especially when all of the brothers were in synch with each other. Don't know how old you are but the J5 was the best in the 70s at this kind of movement. They are a true legend. I think MJ's dance moves got more seductive later on to please the ladies where the 70s was all about just grooving (till the music stops now!) LOL.

  • im just wondering whos the best musical old skool family.

  • jeeze!!! thats stage is shaking so much thats how you know they giving it their all.......or they just need a better stage!!!

  • the best their is at the robot mj

  • U betta get it Michael!!! Man is cutting it!

  • Damn

Michael was tall for his age.And could do the best robot ever.

If ya tried to do it you would break your back!

  • @ilovemusicalot07 well not really he was around 15 at this time so naturally he would be near the same height as the older brothers

  • Ooh My cute cute Michael,I jus wanna dance with u~>3<~

  • OMG- am I dreamin? Is this a world without M. Jackson....

the only group that would make me rip at my clothes and scream.....

  • hey snuffy moon lol plz check out the post vid we did to this song thanks :)

  • Like this dancing as much or better than his later stuff. Used to cut J5 records off the back of cereal boxes. No shit.

  • OMG!!! I was in love with the Jacksons. I had a little fold n go record player & my 1st 45 (yeap a 45!!!!) was Dancin Machine. I carried that sucker everywhere I went. My 1st concert was to see the Jackson. You couldn't tell em nothin about Michael Jackson back then.

  • whoooooooooo!!!! i love this!

  • All the brothers together in this performance. Luv MJ 4ever!!!!!

  • mj is the best

  • His robot is fucking sick especially with the fro bouncing and shit but that teeny stage messed it up you can tell he wanted to do more

  • Mike was working that short stage, they needed more room.

  • MJ was great! No other like him....he almost fell at 2:20.....

  • "He still made it fly though." lol :)

  • No one could EVER do this move Michael does!

  • Agreed. The best old school robot he did for TV!

  • This is the very best live version of Dancing Machine that I've seen. You can tell he's really singing. And he dances just that much more kick ass when he's really singing. That's when he had the joy.

  • @BrianStearns He's not singing live. This is a prerecorded TV track with a different vocal. If you look at some of the closeups, the mic is a foot or more from his mouth, or even behind his back or on the mic stand when he does his spin, yet the volume of his vocal performance didn't change. That's the dead giveaway. But you have great ears to hear that the vocal is different. That's what confuses most people and it's done purposely.

  • @megavega4 Actually this is live. The back up Vocal is lip sync but Michael is singing the lead live. The mike was never behind his back while he was singing

  • @BrianStearns yh dan the others stoped and micheal was still grooving in the end

  • lol it's Jermaine swettie

  • J5 are 6!!! hahaha...

  • i love michael jackson he,s a man

  • Poor Jackie and Marlon can't do the robot as well as Michael. They are having a hard time following him in the line. lol, J5 rules though.

  • @KameoKid They did good.

  • @KameoKid You must be like 14 cause that what Jackie&Marlon was suppose to do,they do it each time they perform the song.

  • @KameoKid EVERYONE FAILS when trying to dance with Michael......so in this case....it's no big deal hahaha

  • @KameoKid Actually... you're wrong. If you can find a clip of them doing this song from their "Live In Mexico" performance from 1975, you will see Marlon keeping up with Michael. Marlon was a VERY accomplished dancer who choreographed a large part of their routines. In this performance, you can see that the stage is small, so naturally they gave Michael room to do his thing. The only time Jackie and Marlon joined MJ is when they all lined up.

  • @KameoKid FALSE...for one, the obvious thing here is that their movement is condensed because of the stage settting...Marlon & Michael are the ones who brought the robotic movements to the group...Jackie always did basic robotic movements because he wasn't as fast as his younger brothers & as usual, anything MJ learned, he perfected more than anyone else...example: Moonwalk..taught to him by Shalamar's Jeffrey Daniel but when MJ put his own swag to it, it became the defining move it is today

  • @KameoKid they may have just been tired or just starting to perform this song, because I've seen some performances of the song where they were keeping up with Mike lol

  • love the video

  • He was so cute he's a dance dance dance dance dancing machine watch em git down as he do do do his thing right on the scene da da da dadadada da da da dadadada oo go mikey robot oh oh rock on keep dancin

  • German had a cool afro.

  • Lol who is German?

  • Go, Michael, go !!

  • yell he killen that robot his brother aint got it doe but still great dancers michael just dance like he know what the hell he doing just flat out

  • well u have to remember they didnt have alot

  • He's a dance dance dance dance dancing machine! Watch him get dow watch him get down as he do do do do do his thing right on the scene. <3

  • U ever notice they wear these exact same outfits in 3 different videos of dancing machine? i wonder if they did this same song 3 times in 1 day.

  • I can't believe i found the version of Dancing machine they used on Moonwalker!

  • the best. 4ever MIKE

  • that stage is to small for the robot

  • small and unstable...that bad boy shaking

  • wow michael is SO cute and hes killen dat robot also hes gotta nice ass

  • i can never get sick of this song!!! RIP Michael Jackson

  • fenomeno!

    Descande en paz Michael!

  • just because latoya was light skinned dosent mean that she wasnt any less of not being apart of the family

  • you got to love the king!

  • michael was gettin that robot

  • MJ and J5 OWN!!!!!!!

  • omg michael, marry me, plz.

  • RIPIzzy022404 he is dead um so no way can he marry you sry i love him to but if he stayed 15 untill now he would be mine!!!! RIP michael loves ya

  • the brotherin blue really didnt do anything inthe j5 did he?

  • u mean marlon? he danced and sang, and if u mean the guy on the bongos thats randy who replaced jermaine when he stayed on motown.

  • Jackie and Jermaine look alike Then Michael Marlon & Randy look alike And Tito looks just like Joe

In MJ book he said that as they were growing up Tito started to look so much like their dad that it was scary

And to me Janet and Michael look alike if you look at pics of them from 80' to 84'

And Rebbie kinda looks like MJ too

But La Toya dosent look like any1 4rm the family..If you look at family pictures you'll see that she's light-skinned while the rest of the family is brown-skinned

  • La Toya and michael always looked alike, and they still do go back and look at the pictures.

  • Everyone Said Dat Wen I was younqer I Use 2 BeIieve It Was Da Same Person =P

  • Yeah, go back and look at their 70's pictures Mike and LeToya look just alike and Janet favors Jermaine and Jackie more but she looks most like Randy and Tito... Well Tito is just a Clone of Joe.

  • Other than a lighter complexion, she DID look like them.

All 3 sisters look a like to me, I really do see it.

  • He a doll!

  • That stage does NOT look steady.

  • no it doesnt, haha

  • It looks too small.

  • i think this is the first time he did the 'robot'...

  • If I correctly recall, the first time he did the robot was on Soul Train....Check out Dancing Machine performance with Soul Train signage in the background in related videos. I personally think it was the best of all the ones I've seen.

  • I'll check it out. thanks. I think hes such a great preformer, lol.

  • there is only one Micheal Jackson R.I.P

  • Increible cada movimiento de Michael.

    Descansa en paz michael jackson!

  • long ass legs

man i love his voice <3

  • MJ 4 ever! what a dancing, dancing, dancing machine!!!!

  • Osmonds aint got shit on The Jackson 5

  • @crunkwun Who the hell are the Osmonds? ;)

  • @WingMcCallister Well Donny Osmond was the LOVE OF MY LIFE back in 1972. Unfortunately Michael wasn't even a consideration back then due to racial issues of that time no matter how much I liked him. I envy the whtie girls that were raised in the 90's that could love him no questions asked. I did like the J5's music though very much!

  • @crunkwun u right they aint got shit on them

  • @crunkwun true that

  • the stage looked a bit shakey!! lol

  • Yeah, I think Michael almost tripped at 2:20 because of that.

  • i think that's just the way he landed ... like on purpose idk idk

  • talent but also hard work and practice :)

  • So freaking talented!!!!!!

  • As a kid, I really enjoyed the music of the Jackson 5 - and I still do, but decades later, I now look at the beauty of these brothers performing together and think what a wonderful time it must have been, and what a loss it is to not just lose their front man, but to lose your beloved brother at only 50 years old.

  • that platform was very sturdy I can see it shaking while they were dancing. anyways, Get it mike!

  • MJ was a better dancer than his brothers--he had better moves--I love this song--he had such a sexy voice and moves LOL

  • he could sing better and dance then his brothers..we all no that..but that doesnt matter..seeing them together matters

  • MJ makes the other robots look like tools.

  • Mike was getting it!

  • I Love how he dances in this song, purely Amazing

  • Wow! I'm becoming an obsessive MJ fan! That guy could dance... the Robot at 1:01 blows me away! The good really do die young.

  • extra special robot routine. gwaaan!

  • There are talented people and then there are gifted people. Michael is whatever comes after gifted. He's in a class all by himself.

  • Tha Brother can MOVE!!!! R.I.P KING MICHAEL

  • Michael was genius.

  • RIP you beautifully talented man

  • he's always been skinny...side note: that man can dance!!! damn, get it mike.

  • CLASSIC!!!!!

  • lol i was born in 1992 pretty much towards the end of michaels active carrer and i still love this shit timeless..

  • R.I.P M.J

  • the robot never gets old!! luv it!

  • his dancing is unforgettable! i really doubt if we will ever see anyone come close to what he did. when he did the robot, it blew me away! he has an aura about him that mesmerizes you to amazement!! RIP MJ!

  • Awesome dancer! His ROBOT is amazing! I'm watching it over and over! So talented! Love you Michael Jackson! Rest In Peace!

  • Randy couldn't sing that well. when Michael left the group they added the younger brother Randy to the group and became the Jacksons. Off and on Michael would be featured on a few of their albums. Later in the 80's Jermaine left the group to start his own solo career as well.

  • Randy was added when they left Motown in the mid 70's(74 or 75) and they had to change their name to the Jacksons for legal reason. Michael was still apart of the Jacksons when they added Randy. This is when they started the variety show. Randy became part of the Jacksons because Jermaine stayed with Motown during this time.

  • Thanks, that's right Jermaine did stay with Motown Records, I forgot about that.

  • The Jackson Six! :D

Who was #6 out of curiousity?

  • The youngest brother, Randy.

  • Rest in Peace! Love the robot in this song!

  • i LOVE how he says, at :54 "She's Superbad now" check it out - how he phrases that. Wow. what STAR POWER.

  • Yeah he's saying it with extra funk! He used his voice in a percussive way. AMAZING STAR POWER through and through.

  • You better work that robot Michael!! Just amazin!!! Love you and R.I.P. Still sad to be telling you to R.I.P because i wish you were still alive :-(

  • obviously lip synced but awesome to watch him dance!

  • haha! so what! in our days, you don't even have to know how to dance or sing to be FAMOUS!!!

    you go michael

  • Nah, this was sung live. The music is the studio music. At 1:36, you can hear the original "Move it baby!" shortly after Michael sings "Yeah!."

    R.I.P. Michael.

  • yah definitely a live show! a great live show!

  • God, Michael was an amazing dancer!
