  • I was afraid you were just a radical blind leftist, but atleast I see you pointing out that Obama is part of the problem as well. Excellent.

  • Right on.

  • i find it depressing that when the populace becomes frustrated about a war theyve been involved in it's often because theyre angry about how its costing THEM rather than for the actual physical damage their money has done and that when their sympathy is aroused its often turned to the AMERICAN soldiers who have died in the process of killing other people!

  • @Truthseekers11 There is just as much concern about the destruction of war as there is of the cost in the states, at least where I've visited/lived (never too far down south). In fact, when people complain about the loss of lives and destruction, it is directly correlated to the costs. The loss of life, destruction of property, and billions of dollars spent on those wars all mean one thing: Waste. All of those complaints arrive at the same conclusion.

  • There is a reason why the US has the strongest military on earth...

  • Comment removed

  • This is NOT the Military, it's CONGRESS that does this math.

  • We need to somehow make these videos more popular. They deserve 500,000 views on average, not 5,000.

  • this was necessary in Reagan's day and that's why Reagan and his croanies took money right out of the well oiled machine that is medicare and SS (worked well in his time) however, his bill was created not only to restore the military but to eventually return the money BACK to SS and medicare. Require that Congress return this money to the programs they took it from originally. Look it up it's in black and white.

  • america spends more money than any other country on earth for military needs? well i guess thats why they are the strongest

  • This is fantastic

  • There's one far cheaper and more effective unit the American military really needs to deploy: Bear cavalry; yeah, the enemy would be pretty much fucked.

  • My favorite youtube channel.

  • "HE LOST 30 POUNDS!"

The logic in that is FLAWLESS :D

  • How about one on the bullshit government uions, too???

  • @666sigma

    What's a uion?

  • @trelane227

It's called a typo - unions. Like most statists, I'll bet that is your best shot.

  • Absolutly awsome....multi thumbs up

  • Mark Fiore is awesome. This video is hilarious.

  • As a former Service member I can say this video looks good on the surface, but it neglects the deeper issues. Part of the reason our military spends so much is because we spend billions protecting our allies. EX(it cost us ALOT of money to reroute the USS George Washington to South Korea several months ago when the north attack) do you think they paid us a F*cking penny? no and then our president pushes a BS trade agreement that lets them sell here Tariff free, but most of our competitive goods

  • are either ineligible for trade there or taxed right out of competition.

If you wanna cut the military budget you need to do 2 important things. Create some accountability ($400 for a hammer is just wrong) and start charging our allies for expenses we incur on their behalf.

F them if they want our help it's not free, we can't be the worlds baby sitter and not get fair compensation!

I'm not saying extort the other countries but at least make them foot some of the bill for saving their sorry butts

  • @hppyhckr what you stated justifies the video more. allies gotta step up and time for us to step back.

  • @Lombokstrait1

It doesn't justify the video... I agree with some of the points but the underlying tone of the video is deceptive.

Our budgetary problems have a lot more to do with social spending than this video implies. And while most of the "facts" presented are true they are presented in a one sided or misleading manner.

  • @hppyhckr the military is just one giant work program. so to me it is social spending.

  • on be-half of every service member in the past 200 hundred years...

Straight fuck you and you don't deserve the freedoms they have served and died to preserve for you.

The military isn't a work program (some people sign up thinking that) It's the first, last and only defense of your freedoms.

You wanna learn what the military is really about go to the nearest VA hospital and talk to some vets who gave the best years of their lives protecting your still unborn, self righteous liberal ass!

  • @hppyhckr lol! A friend, who is a vet, said I shouldn't feel any pity for the vets. they signed up and that's it. your ass belongs to them. self-riteous? ummm I think that's you.

it's not my fault those who join mil. are used up like tissue. ;-)

social work programs build roads/bridges and fight wars. sorry but there is an element of truth to it. and it's HARD CORE GOVT. and the most dangerous part of it. I don't trust the govt.

  • @Lombokstrait1

Your vet friend is one of the few. We don't ask for pity, We demand respect!

One vet friend doesn't give you a full picture. I challenge you to go volunteer at a VA hospital for a few days. Spend some time with people who really understand what freedoms we've lost over the last 4 decades with the expansion of government.

There's a reason that most liberals are under 30.

  • @hppyhckr I'm not liberal and I'm not under 30. I'm middle of the road. I do think republicans are crazy though. really crazy, just like hippies are really crazy. the extremes of each side can take a walk. So a republican would think I'm a liberal... but they are so far right now... they are losing their marbles.

Military is the govt... and the mil ind complex is a giant parasite. I'm not a fan.

  • @Lombokstrait1

I didn't say you were a liberal or under 30.

Nor did I say I was a republican.

Military is the government, but it's an entirely different beast. I don't blame you for not being a fan. You don't have to like them to respect what they do for our country.

  • @hppyhckr thirdworldtraveler com/ US_ThirdWorld/dictators html

  • @fenix144

    Interesting page...

Except they provide no documentation, sources, links of any kind to back up some of the claims they make.

More of that page is false than true.

And what did that link provide that was at all related to either the video or the discussion I was having with Lombokstrait1?

  • @hppyhckr too much truth to be ignored.

  • @fenix144

But enough lies to make the thing questionable.

  • @hppyhckr of course. enough not to take the article for granted. but I've been questioning the US's foreign policy for some time now.

  • Mark's videos condenses into two minutes a good rebuttal of hours of state propaganda. Excellent!

  • BRAVO!!! This is classic.

  • Nice!

  • There are a few errors such as :54 when Defense is called the biggest spender. Defense is large only if you look at the discretionary budget and not if you use the total budget including entitlement spending.

It is hard to share when you know the errors will cause people to reject the video outright.

  • @Benwoodruff Don't see how that's relevant.

When i need to cut back on personal spending, it's discretionary spending I need to concentrate on not utilities or other bills that I can't do without.

We get more from these programs that we do from military spending. And military spending, discretionary or not, is still HUGE.

A lot bigger then heating programs for the poor and head start which they want to cut.

  • @booley You don't see how it is relevant that it is misleading at best and lying at worst?

The push for reform of SSI/Medicaid/Healthcare is because that is the part of the budget that is so large. Why did Willie Sutton rob banks? Because that is where the money was. It is the same thing with spending.

It would be great to share this video with people but glaring errors results in it being rejected out of hand. Lying for a cause doesn't help.

  • @Benwoodruff it's not lying.

First what it says about how the military calls raises cuts is perfectly true.

Plus is it is misleading to act like SS. and Medicare are just like military spending. They are not the same.

They are not even funded the same.

Yes so called "entitlement reform" is pretty much a con to get at that money. But military spending is pretty lucrative right now for the people pushing it.

  • @booley all government spending is funded by outright theft. you can't do good with an individual's money if you have to steal it first.

  • @booley the poor would be better of not being poor in the first place. prosperity comes through peace and freedom, not government coercion.

  • End the wars! no more wars for neo con zionists, we will save billions!

  • I do support the F-35 program. Remember the F-16 , 1980, F-15, 1975, F-18 1981 planes the designs are old and the F-35 will replace all of these. I mean its not as good as the F-22, but it sure as hell has stealth and can perform a lot of tasks. Now I do not support the F-35 extra engine, that's just a huge waste. I do support the new M1A3 tanks because the Abrams tank design 1980 and its old even with upgrades.

  • I love this lol

  • the ugly truth is that the American military are a gigantic, vastly inefficient, for profit welfare program. If any poor young person wants to get ahead, they must go to the military for a job, an education, and healthcare. Also whole towns rely on military contracts. The entire American system is ad hoc, cobbled together and wasteful. They are letting the military run rampant while cutting into the bone on most social programs.

  • @dangerouslytalented

I wouldn't say welfare, as the system is designed to recruit the poor who perceive it as either a last resort or necessity to get ahead. However bloated the system is, I do think soldiers deserve premium benefits and respect from society. The problem is the bureaucracy... we need a more streamlined military with less troops and actual fiscal responsibility. If we keep giving them hundreds of billions, they'll piss it away. Too bad corporations bought out our reps...

  • @xccmx There is nothing else out there for the very poor. Those who would, in the rest of the western world, would have been going to university in the us, can only go into the military. no other choices are available.

  • Please give Mark's videos a thumbs up to show you appreciate his work.

51 views. 7 likes. We can do better.

It gives his videos more exposure. Link em' to your friends too.

  • @lancebub This video is a good biting satire. Unfortunately, most of his bits have been somewhat childish of late. He was a real crybaby after the midterms.

  • i can't believe you don't have 500k subscribers or some other ridiculous amount for the content you bring.

  • @Pato0919 Fiores stuff predates youtube. Most of his views do not come from here in the first place.

  • @dangerouslytalented that still doesn't change the fact that he should be more widely recognized on youtube.

  • @Pato0919 yes, yes he should.

  • FIRST FAGS

  • Yeah sounds about right.

Is there any video by you that DOESN'T, though?
