  • IF YOU DON'T HAVE A HANDHELD ELECTRIC MIXER, SKIP TO STEP 6. 1. PLACE THE MILK IN A LARGE ENOUGH BOWL 2. ADD THE WATER 3. ADD THE EGGS, BEAT UP THE MIXTURE 4. ADD THE SALT 5. BEAT AGAIN 6. SIFT FLOUR INTO ANOTHER BOWL. IF YOU ARE SHORT OF BOWLS YOU CAN SIFT DIRECT INTO THE MIXTURE 7. ADD THE FLOUR TO THE MIXTURE A LITTLE AT A TIME. 8. MIX WITH A HANDHELD MIXER/ FORK/ WHISK 9. START WITH THE SIFTED FLOUR FROM STEP 6, THEN CREATE A HOLE IN THE MIDDLE IT. 10. SLOWLY ADD THE MIXTURE FROM STEP 5
  • Ingredients

    For the pancake mixture

    110g/4oz plain flour, sifted

    pinch of salt

    2 eggs

    200ml/7fl oz milk mixed with 75ml/3fl oz water

    50g/2oz butter

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

    1 teaspoon salt

    1 tablespoon white sugar

    1 1/4 cups milk

    1 egg

    3 tablespoons butter, melted

    Directions

    In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
