hope with the hennessey power you can get and the six speed you can get better mpg. other than that, getting to where your offroading joint is should be no prob for the four door's 39gal. tank. hope you can make that bigger. just saying, for he same price, you can get a 1ton superduty and put all the power, tech, gears, and frosting on it to equal raptor pricetag and still get better mpg. hope the 800hp version of the raptor isnt the same price as stock.
Ford recommends against taking this truck through an automatic car wash because, with it being more than 7 inches wider than a stock F-150, it won't fit. Incidentally, they also recommend against subjecting this truck to a high pressure spray wand because the stick on graphics may come off. I'm laughing my ass off!!
One concern that I have is the electronic vehicle descent controls. If they are like the traction control and stability control that Ford put on the Explorers then I hope that they included a means in which to shut them down. Believe it or not Ford sometimes the driver actually knows how to control a vehicle just allow us to driver the damn vehicle

@senornacho101 Well good luck finding any type of cheap tires, I think your best bet if you're on a budget is to buy a bone stock F150, and upgrade it to your likings, theirs enough aftermarket parts out their I'm positive you can put on just a plain F150 crew cab, that will be cheaper but just affective as a Raptor. To me it wouldn't be the same, but if you'd rather take pride in your build than its great idea
@Ryguy430 in order to build up a stock F150 to equivalent of the raptor youd end up spending the same amount of money or even more. most likely more. you have to think about the 4x4, the locking diff, the wider track, the 4.10 rear axle, the complicated traction control systems, the 6.2 engine (which you cant get in a base F150). you can't just buy those parts and install them, it would be horribly expensive

And yeah you can add brush guards for the under carriage because the jounce is pretty low on this thing. and for grille/brush guards, im sure you can make a special order to hennessy or roush racing for some custom guards, or custom fabricate your owns from regualr F-150 aftermarket guards

I cant stand the fact that there's people who buy this truck with intentions of only using it as a commuting truck that looks good, if youre gonna buy a truck thats spent hundreds of hours of offroad testing in deserts, plus other places, atleast take it offroading. some spoiled ass 16 year old kid in my town had his parents buy him the velociraptor. it makes me cry watching the thing go to waste...

@Ryguy430 me and my dad have one, and i certainly have taken it on trails. we even took it to ocotillo wells. but once youre out there and start driving it harder, you realize that even though it probably wont break, if it does youre fucked because its also your ride home. and its not cheap to fix either

@senornacho101 Well good luck finding any type of cheap tires, I think your best bet if you're on a budget is to buy a bone stock F150, and upgrade it to your likings, theirs enough aftermarket parts out their I'm positive you can put on just a plain F150 crew cab, that will be cheaper but just affective as a Raptor. To me it wouldn't be the same, but if you'd rather take pride in your build than its great idea

@Ryguy430 in order to build up a stock F150 to equivalent of the raptor youd end up spending the same amount of money or even more. most likely more. you have to think about the 4x4, the locking diff, the wider track, the 4.10 rear axle, the complicated traction control systems, the 6.2 engine (which you cant get in a base F150). you can't just buy those parts and install them, it would be horribly expensive

Btw The new 2010 or 2011 crew cab ford raptors. how tall are they isnt it like 6.5 feet tall? i ask because im just wondering i realize a lot of them come or you can add a brush guard or the bumper guards. but depending on how raised it is, it might not prove to be that effective if you hit a deer with it.
and as far as i know they dont make grille guard's for the ford raptor you have to get a custom built one. I ask because in my area their is lots of deer

And yeah you can add brush guards for the under carriage because the jounce is pretty low on this thing. and for grille/brush guards, im sure you can make a special order to hennessy or roush racing for some custom guards, or custom fabricate your owns from regualr F-150 aftermarket guards

Me as a 17 year old, i personally think the younger generation like us expects too much for what little we do. Its hard for me to see kids my age do nothing but school, and get what they want when i work 2 jobs, pay for my food, bought my car, pay for gas insurance clothes etc. and with what money i can spend freely, my parents wont let me spend.

@sm32586 the zr2's were the off road suspension package for the s-10 pickups and blazers. the raptor is the same thing for the f-150. o and the stock lift on them is 3 in. so u need to do ur homework buddy
