You are very lucky my Dad went into the hospital 07/02/10 for swollen legs, he knew he had Leiden... blood clots blocking main vein in leg and partially the other leg. Airlifted to another hospital where they did the same procedure that you had done. Was on ventilator, off ventilator, went into kidney and liver failure, then due to diverticulitis and Heparin, he ended up having major bleeds. He passed away on 07/26/10.... PLEASE continue to see a hemotologist regularaly!
