So tragic, the ending of a great God inspired song writer, Dottie Rambo. Out of respect to
Dottie Rambo, please, quit arguing about your opinions. She was loved and always will be missed. She's worshipping and praising our Lord Jesus now. That should be all that's important to everyone that loved and still miss her. GBU/IJN
A great loss. Reading these comments I find that grammar and spelling are atrocious. First 1lawgrad you're an idiot. TheJesusRulz if she was such a good friend spelling her name correctly would have been respectful and "fateful" worker? I believe you mean "faithful" not "fateful" as the term fateful means "having far reaching and typically disastrous effects". Morgan, not sure if you're "herding" cattle or what and "lulu went on with wuts her face?" America, the uneducated land of the free.
I'm just now finding out she's dead. How sad is that? Well to say she was a great song writer and singer is putting it lightly. My mentor in music, Jimmy Swaggart, probably was most known for the songs he did that Dottie Rambo wrote and he never failed to talk about her dedication to the work of God. Truthfully, Dottie had a voice similar to Jimmy's sister, and I think she may have reminded him of her. But I digress. What a sad loss..she was a fighter. The Lord keep her.
dottye was good friend to me. i love my sweet friend of 30 years. jesus wanted her to save her from her hurt body and family. her girl was very mean to her and she cried so much for love from her girl. that is how we get the good music from his fateful worker. i love you my angel no more tears for you in that city. love, jan
dottie when i herd about the crash we cried me and my gma when we thought lulu was still on the bus but she went on with wuts her face she called us and said she was alright but we are still very sorry dottie and i love u and lulu im glad lulu went on and u should have too that was a very windy night love ya lots morgan
Dottie was one of, if not THE greatest gospel song writer ever to live. Many have compared her to the great Fanny Crosby. Her songs number well over 2500 and those are just the ones "published". It would be impossible to over emphasize the impact that she has had on gospel and sacred music. Her songs will live on forever!
1lawgrad- You are without a doubt the most ignorant person ever to be on youtube. You should have taken the money that you wasted on law school, if you went to school at all, and perhaps spent it on trying to learn some manners and respect. This "hillbilly goddess" did more with her life and blessed more people than you could ever dream of doing with a law degree. Grow up and try learning something that matters in life, respect.
Sadly, this person is not the most ignorant on Youtube. There are worse. One of the great benefits of Youtube is the opportunity to educate oneself on matters such as the impact of this "hillbilly goddess" (a title Dottie would have thought blasphemous, by the way.) Let us hope that this soi-disant law grad will do just that.
Talk about a hillbilly...can you please learn to capitalize your letters at the beginning of a sentence. I doubt that you even have a law degree or if so you must of finished last in your class.
This particular hillbilly and teacher of English literature and composition would like to thank nytbrd for his or her dedication to the English language. Perhaps our law grad could take a course combining the study of torts, American culture, and standard written English. We would all stand to gain ever so much.
I would argue, 1lawgrad, that your lack of knowledge of Dottie Rambo reflects ... well, reflects your lack of knowledge.
Because I can assure you, it CERTAINLY doesn't not reflect the renown - nor the importance - of one of the premiere contributers to the culture of North America.
Although insulting as some may find it, I do not believe that Dottie would have found being called a "hillbilly" as insulting as being referred to as a "goddess". I do (as I believe Dottie would have and many others do) find the term hillbilly derogatory, but Dottie herself would have probably commented that she in no way is, was, or ever will be a goddess and being compared to a deity of any kind is blasphemous and degrading in and of itself. So I reiterate 1lawgrad, you're an idiot.
Oh, but guys. . .this isn't farewell. . .it's see ya later. She now sits at the feet of the Father she sang about. For those that know the Lord, we will see her later and will all be around the throne of the God she sung about and we love.
That night they had several tornados that touched down just south of where the bus left the road. Living close to where this happen I would say the strongswinds from the aftermath of the storms that were making there way across Missouri. Dottie loved Elvis and Elvis loved Dottie recording her song " If That Is'nt Love"..Farewell dear Dottie...

Is she the only one that died? What about the other in the bus. This incident is strange. What caused the driver to go off the road?
