We have taken a large step back in the fight against bullying. Tennessee has proposed thaw would allow students to bully as long as it is based off of their religious belief. That doesn't even make any sense! LEGALIZING bullying? That must be the dumbest I have ever heard! The ONLY thing that is going to come out of that is MORE teen suicides. The bad thing about this is that the people who bullied him to death and later harassed his sister about his suicide aren't getting charged with murder. Try aren't being charged for ANYTHING. They have no community service, no volunteer work, no nothing. Their consequence is a five day suspension from school. THATS IT. Nice to know Buffalo has no heart.

This reminds me of a childhood friend, he came out when he was a freshman and I stopped being friends with him and got into another group of friends at school. We bullied him mercilessly and he tried to commit suicide eventually because his life was so miserable and because he lost his best friend (me). It was fun bullying him at the time, but now I look back on it, he could have actually succeeded in killing himself, and I might have got in trouble, Thank god he didn't kill himself.

And he stood before God upon his death, and had to give an account for all of his actions and sin. Jesus is the only way to salvation from hell. For the wages of sin is death. And Jesus would have to say, "depart from me, I never knew you".
And yet you are still alive. You still have hope of salvation if you are willing to believe and turn from your sin and follow Jesus. Jesus is still standing at the door of your heart, and he will until you let him in or until you pass from this world. But you have a decision to make. Will you allow Jesus into your life, or will you reject him? Your decision on this earth will determine your eternal fate.

The bad thing about this is that the people who bullied him to death and later harassed his sister about his suicide aren't getting charged with murder. Try aren't being charged for ANYTHING. They have no community service, no volunteer work, no nothing. Their consequence is a five day suspension from school. THATS IT. Nice to know Buffalo has no heart.

This reminds me of a childhood friend, he came out when he was a freshman and I stopped being friends with him and got into another group of friends at school. We bullied him mercilessly and he tried to commit suicide eventually because his life was so miserable and because he lost his best friend (me). It was fun bullying him at the time, but now I look back on it, he could have actually succeeded in killing himself, and I might have got in trouble, Thank god he didn't kill himself.

I am just quoting the Bible. We can get into arguements over what is in the Bible and what is not, but the absolute truth is that Jesus died for our sins. And we must repent of sin and follow Jesus' teachings. I would have loved the opportunity to talk to this young man and tell him that no matter what other people called him, he could turn from his sin and call on Jesus and have a friend that is more precious than any friend. Jesus never turns His back on you. You can pray to God anytime.

You are partly correct in that God does love the sinner. "God so loved the world" that he gave his one and only Son as a way to salvation. But God is also just. And God has a law that must be kept. Those who do not believe in Jesus are under the law and their punishment for breaking the law is eternal death in hell. Those who believe in Jesus and follow His teachings are free from the law. Nobody hides behind their Bible. We stant boldly with the principles laid out in the Bible. The bible says that everyone has fallen short of the glory of God. We all have sinned. We are no better than anyone else. We are just old sinners saved by grace. If you could see what I once was, you would see a miracle in my life. I have had some rough points in my life. But God doesn't require that we pay for past sins, only that we turn from them. That is salvation.

There are many people that do make money off of God. They use and abuse people in the name of profit. But then you must ask yourself. Why am I telling you to seek God. Bullying is and should be a crime. What happened to Jamey was wrong and jail time should be for all involved. Another thing thats wrong is suicide. How can a boy or girl feel so down and so lost that they kill themselves. Most every kid gets picked on and if all of them commioted suicide, all parents would be mourning. Christ knows what it is like to be rejected and humiliated, yet He allowed it to happen even to him because of His love for us.
