  • It's not bad. But I think your songs need stronger melodies. Compare this to Splash Woman's stage (or any of the classic megaman songs) where you hear a melody that is instantly recognizable and easy to remember. Well, maybe it's not fair to compare it to the professional stuff, for fan-music this is pretty good.

  • Still the best CometWoman theme so far! Keep up the great work, MegaPhilX! :D

  • man i like the game but when cuando??? cuando vendrá el juego??? cuando saldrá??

  • @CodeLimit cool! Thanks! Are all of the tricks listed in a help file that I can refer to?

  • I had one question about famitracker though. How do you get the song to jump to a certain spot in the song so it doesn't repeat from the very beginning?

  • I would love to see Cometwoman in action on Megaman!

  • You are amazing! I have famitracker too, but I am nowhere near this good! Are you going to make a Mega Man 11 game with Game Maker? I have seen these bosses before and like all of them!

  • Oh shit you took comment approvals off! >: )

  • amazing.

  • Now do one for construction man!

  • Hmm... I think this song and the Rainbow Man and captured Wily Castle overuse the 5ths, and in general off-key notes. Its hard to work in off-key notes when there isn't enough proper melody. It makes all the songs sound a bit out of place is all. Thats fine for one or two, but I listened to the boss music, the captured wily castle, rainbowman, and now this one, and they all have that same sound of not-quite-in-place.

  • @Kryton87 My thoughts exactly, it doesn't have much of a direction as far as the rules of harmony are concerned. Although atonally, it sounds great. It's just that it could use a bit more guidance melodically before going off the experimental deep-end.

  • woah the backround in comet womans stage screenshot is the samein megaman 10 website

  • @ThHaloKitty I think they might have ripped it off from him

  • I vote this one.

  • @CodeLimit fine, whatever. well, maybe ice dash wich freezes on enemy contact or somethin...

  • this sounds assome

  • yu get:

    comet flyer!

power: propel yourself into the air and steer with the directional keys!

  • @metroidfannumber1 Wait that's Top Gun.

  • @fulinamon what's that?

  • @metroidfannumber1

Suckish NES game based of suckish movie.

    It's a flying game.

  • @fulinamon oh i see. just like the adventures of bayou billy. except for the flying.

  • I like this one. Though, I can't tell which is better when you play. Play the stage with each, and go with what feels right.

  • Hmm... Before the higher tone it's to dark, and then it gets very high on the moment.. Humph...

  • This one is better then the first!

  • I think the prob;em is that the song doesn't have a high point. The most epic Megaman songs are essentially a build-up to the highest, most incredible point in a song, which I believe for you is 0:55, but it's not nearly enough build up. The song changes direction too much and you can't seem to find a good place. Maybe it has a better effect when playing the stage, but it doesn't seem perfect. That's my feedback. Sorry, but it's still a very nice theme.

  • How do you get different instruments? Do you download them, or create them, or what? And if you download them, what are some websites that have said instruments? I'm just trying out Famitracker myself and not doing very well with it, you see.

  • This version!

  • This version is way better.

  • more like a plant man stage;)

  • hrms, both are good but after listening several times I'm gonna have to go with the first one. very well done! FamiTracker rox =3

  • I thought Protoman had boobs in the intro there...had to check 2 more times >_>

  • *extreme lol*

    Protoboobs!

  • very nice song this one, the first 30 secs are very good indeed , when comes the relaxed part it loses the charm. imo but if u like it that way im ok!

  • When I look CometWoman sprite in tumbnail picture (or what the fuck is called) it looks like she has giant grey chin

  • i prefer the older one.

  • Much prefer this one.

  • definitely prefer this version

  • 2 questions. what do you use to record this and how do i get the 2 extra squares and sawtooth working with the vrc extension?

  • She SLIGHTLY resembles StarMan.EXE, but I think she resembles Gemini Man even more.

  • I don't know if this has been asked before, or if I'm just retarded on account of my fever right now. But what is the tool used for making chiptunes and 8bit music?

  • FamiTracker.

  • So when are you gonna sell the rights to this to Capcom? Lord knows they probably love some (if not all) of your robot master designs, & they might give a good amount of money for it, or even better, give you a job to finish it for them to sell.

  • @TheNightOwl11683

Probably won't not going to happen all that does is about Money.

  • Huh???

  • that arpeggio in the last section of the song just kills it for me. the sound is totally out of place compared to the rest, which honestly is on the right path to being a very good song.

  • totally agree

  • I like this version more.

  • awesome

  • i liked the other version

  • Really i wonder how it can be in instrumental version (not 8-bit). That would be AWERSOME!

  • I absolutely love this.

This song, this Boss, this project.

Looks awesome, keep up the good work.

  • YOU GET :

    SECOND FEMALE BOSS EVER.

  • @Angsc09 And you also get, BEST FEMALE BOSS EVER.

  • every time i think of a mm classic robotmaster that have something of the space in his name,i can only hear techno :)

  • This :)

  • I was humming this earlier - the music's just fine.

  • You know, if you took StarMan.EXE, recoloured them, and changed their design a bit, they'd look like Comet Woman.

  • yea

StarMan.EXE does look like Comet Woman

makes me wonder if Comet is StarMan.EXE's mother :3

  • or the other way around hehe

  • A belive this game is going to be as good as any other megaman game made by capcom. And the music is freaking sick!! Good job I like this one better as well.

  • I vote this theme to be the Final Version of Comet Woman's Theme.

  • Actually, the theme of Comet Woman is almost the same like Gemini Man.

  • she got scrapped, this is pretty cool and all, but we're working hard.

  • I vote this as final version for Comet Woman stage.

  • I second that vote!

  • She looks like StarMan.EXE.

  • she might be his mother lol

  • *glares at you* This theme rightfuly belongs to MegaPhilX's Comet Woman! If you don't like it, then too friggin' bad!

  • No.

  • Comet Woman is too awesome to be tied down. She gets with whoever she wants. ;)

  • inorite

  • comet woman looks like geminiman's wife if h had 1 just saying ^-^

  • GeminiMan X CometWoman you say?

  • yep

  • and StarMan.EXE is the child of the two

  • LOL ROFLROFLROFL

  • I smell a StarMan X CometWoman pairing.

  • i dunno

and then again that data CD of StarMan does note he is romantic

    so it might work

but GeminiMan X CometWoman would work too

  • @RagingBanebou

    Rule 34, no exceptions

  • @RagingBanebou Galaxyman X Cometwoman can also be possible.

  • @MrCrazyToad

Yeah, too bad Galaxy Man hasn't got a mouth to kiss with.

  • This version is awesome! I would definitely stick with this one. It just seems to fit the boss better.

  • After a serious examination of the two, I feel that I like this version better than the original. I felt like the notes you changed were too low even before I heard this version, which I feel corrects the problem. After all, when one thinks of satellites and space equipment, one thinks of them having high-pitched beeps rather than low-pitched ones.

  • I think I like this version better.

  • KICKASS!!!

*put's to Cerberus' MP3 with the name "MM10_CometWoman2"*

  • This is definitely the better version. :-)

  • They're pretty identical, but I think this one is better.

  • lol, in the questions and answers videos, you hinted that Comet Woman was Jet Man's Girlfriend.

  • Nah, they're just friends--err, racing buddies. ;)

  • ...I'm not really sure which one I like best. After listening to the first version so often, it sort of grew on me. That said, I think I DO like this one slightly better.

It's funny, those notes right before the raise of pitch (0:36-0:38) sounded off-key to me at first in version A, but the more I listened to it, the less off-key it sounded.

  • in my opinion i think you should do a preview video of this stage with comet women since you like her so much ;) instead of nailman

i just think she not a bad person at all and will help megaman later in the game

    am i right?/?;)

  • I think the only reason he hasn't done a preview video of this stage yet, is because it isn't nearly as close to completion as Nail Man's stage was.

  • ya you prolly right;)

  • I'd go with the original if I were you. I like it better and think it embodies both a hard space theme boss and a 0-g stage filled with spikes.

  • I like this track a lot! You have a lot of talent as a composer

  • This one does seem better, but the little rising quick notes in the part you changed still seems like little sour notes that don't harmonize well with the lead. But like I said, it could be the dissonance that makes it feel right to you. Its a nice song no matter what the version.

  • I seem to be part of the minority, but I kind of prefer Version A, myself. The higher pitch just seems to stick out more to me. They're both great, though. :P

  • I like this version a lot better than the first one you posted (which was also good, but this is better)

  • Hey in this game are we gonna be able to use a controller or at least change the controls. Because I have played Megaman fan-mades and I really wished I could just plug in my PS3 controller and own. If not i would still like to have my own controls.

I've been watching this game and so far it looks awsome, the music, bosses and level designs are awsome.

  • I like the first one better. Since the transition to the higher pitch seems off to me. Both are good, but I prefer the original.

  • I LIKE THIS ONE BETTER

  • I like it but it sounds empty. It needs a steady "clap" or something to play along with the beat so it dosent sound so empty at some parts. But I like it more than the original.

  • Way better than the previous version!

  • A boss like "Comet Woman" should have a frozen, crystalized spacey stage, and this song fits very well. I like this newer version of it because it has a bit better transitioning between parts and it's slightly higher pitched (but not annoyingly so, like the GB games). I think you've done a remarkable job here, and I know you'll keep it up. :)

  • B))

  • The B version sounds more spacey and better as well.

  • Definitely B.

    Do it man!

    DO IT!

I've been keeping track of this game for months.

I just gets better and better!

  • I like version B better.

  • Yep, like this one better!

  • I'm curious. Before I make a decision, is the only part that was changed area of the theme was the increased pitch of the improvised section?

  • Yeah, it's the only part that was changed

  • I see. If that's the case, I'll probably still take version B, but the transition into that improvised part sound slightly unsmooth trying to get into that high pitch. Then again, I could be hearing it a bit off myself.

But that's only a minor issue, it still sounds good.

  • The improvised part is by far my favorite part of the entire song. Great work! I like this version better.

  • based on the mood of the theme, I think Cometwoman's personality is that of a tomboy, and speaks like a valley girl, on the other hand it makes me think she's the love child of Galaxyman, and Splashwoman.

  • Versian B's higher tone fits in very well in my opinion.

  • Version A for me i dont see any difference to me they bolth sound the same

  • I like this one more, even though they almost sound identical.

  • I like B's alteration better.

  • This is better..

    I choose B!

  • Cette version là es définitivement la meilleure Phil!

  • I prefer version A.

  • This version is better than the last one. It sounds more appealing than the last's one "improvised" section.

  • I´m gonna say I like this version the most. High-pitched notes go better with space-themed stages as I have noted on Capcom´s Duck Tales game moon stage.

  • Well you can use the other one and keep this one as a secret like Shademan's 2 musics.

  • sound the same to me :p

  • It's a tough call but I like the original better, like someone said below, fits more for the mystery of space.

  • This one is better.

  • Quite tricky, this one. Both are pretty good.

Maybe, if Famitracker can do it, make the track longer so it plays Version A _then_ Version B, then loop back to Version A, etc.?

  • i like the original version better. it flows a lot better.

  • I like this better.

  • I prefer the other one. Deeper notes sound better for a space themed stage.

  • this one

  • Hm...it's a hard decision, but I like the original better, though I'll be happy with whichever you choose to go with. ^_^

  • sound almost the same too me

but version b i will go with ;)

  • I actually like the original better. The low notes compliment the mysteriousness of space. Both are good though.

  • I like this alot, keep up the good work!

and DAMN, you certainly have a good ear for music. I'm a tone deaf. :(

  • This version is better!

  • Version B!

  • This one is way better. You rock dude! keep it up!

  • I really like this one =)

  • Hmm.... It made it sound really weird. So the other version. Either way it sounds freaking AWESOME!!!

  • tough decision since both of them sound very identical, although i gotta say that the high-pitch ending marks a much more epic ending to it, so i'll go with version B.

keep up your good work, man!

  • Version B

  • Maybe you should have it alternate between the two, starting with version A and then ending with version B.

I'm saying this because both endings sound equally okay to me.

  • I'd say this one is better.

  • It's not the pitch that bothered me in the previous version. It was the notes on Square 1 that bothered me. Still, the higher-pitched version does kind of sound better.

  • I like this one more, but they're both very good. :3

  • version B is better

  • i like the original one

  • I think this one is better, changing that part to higher tone really helped it.

  • version B

  • I like the B version better. It just sounds better to me.

  • I like this one the most, but making that last bit higher pitched makes the "ladder"-like notes in the background sound out of place.

My thoughts? Redo the alt. melody on that part.

  • like this more

  • They're both good, I like this one slightly more than the original.

  • Version B FTW!

  • I prefer this version.

  • Both are good, but I prefer this version (version B)

  • I like this version more. :)
