  • Hi all! You might have analyzed DietOramy diet programs (google's got lots of data on it)? I've learned of a handful of unbelievable details with regards to it and my bro already lost much of extra load with it.

  • I can see it's hard for some people, that are used to eat around 2500 calories a day, to suddenly cut down in half. But for me, as a anorexic and bulimic, 1000 calories is a luxury! And eating less than that is just simple.

  • Ive been on diets since I was 15 and the one that works for me is what they call the "Anorexic" diet. It really is a lifestyle and it taught me alot of things like:

    We don't need half of the food we consume to be healthy.

    The body needs hydration most importantly and once you train yourself to know that and accept that food is not your LIFE; then you loose the weight.

    I feel stronger, more in control and my senses are"keener" like never before.

    Food is just food, it will not control me!!!

  • I am from Sweden.. when I went to visit Russia.I literally only see beautiful and well shaped women - the really only few women that were a bit overweight were the ones in their 50's.,all the rest looked that they were watching what they are eating. So I'm trying to understand why English people don't care about their health.. Is it true that Eastern European women are more beautiful naturally, and probably that is what drives them to care so much about their looks.while Western side is opposite

  • With the money she's shelling out for all of these 'fad' diets, she could've purchased some decent home gym equipment. There's never going to be a fast answer to weight loss. I really wish people would get that through their heads. Stick to basic knowledge. If you consume 2,500 calories daily, and burned 2,000 of them, you would have a daily weight loss of a pound. You just calibrate diets from consumption and exercise.

  • @melovetorun Just curious, why do you say that? I've been doing Atkins as a vegetarian and I like it. I eat low carb fruits and veggies, and I can have bread, and I eat pizza every day (I specially make it using low carb bread mix). I also eat pasta, because Dreamfields is low carb. I get to have whole grains, and other foods I enjoy. It's helped my GERD because I eat small, frequent portions.

    It's certainly not for everyone, but I've had great success with it.

  • I could relate with Lisa, when it comes to having thin clothes, but unlike her I'm on my way towards being able to fit into thin clothes. I'm a size 6/8 now & still losing weight in fat. I only do Insanity exercise three times a week & eat the same "garbage" food (overzealous health nuts can kiss my ass) just in smaller portion. I also fast every 7 days for 3 days. Vomiting also helps, only if a meal is over 300 calorie. Peace.

I thing the solution for me was to excerise daily and calorie count, as I always believed that I ate very little until I started to write down my daily food in take and then count how many calories i was consumming daily.

  • You will never have a big problem with excess body fat if you don't eat more than you need. It's that simple. Don't eat more than you expend, if you want to lose, eat less than you expend. Very, very simple. You don't need pricy diets. Eat right, stay fit = effective. With a bit of motivation, discipline and time to learn better habits, anyone can be much better off!

  • You people are being pretty harsh. Eating right and exercising more sound easy, but if you're used to eating junk and not moving much it can be difficult to change.

    I was addicted to junk for a while after moving out and penny pinching by buying the cheapest foods possible. Finally I decided to buckle down and spend the extra $ on healthy and organic foods. Fasting for a day actually helped break the addiction and now I don't crave junk as much, and I eat much less.

  • Thinking that you can eat anything when you're pregnant is quite irresponsible. What you eat affects the baby as well. If you choose high-calory foods with little nutritional value you're not supporting the baby's growth in the best possible way. Instead you should choose a healthy diet and exercise - if you really want the best start for your baby. And it will not be as hard getting rid of the extra weight after giving birth.

    Losing weight is not that hard (unless you have medical issues...and the poor woman eating in her sleep :( That really must suck) - more veggies - less pasta & bread, chicken & turkey instead of pork, use less oil when cooking, replace unhealthy snacks with fruit, etc. & if possible, exercise more...I was 200lbs & I've lost around 50lbs without spending a cent on "diet" products... no reason to starve either, if you're smart and plan out your meals
