looks like I need to start modding my reissue ts808 :) Did you test play your pedal after each step of modding, for example, after changing chip, then after changing caps, etc.. Or did you mod it then test played it? I wonder what will do the most difference. I'd guess the caps would do more difference than the IC based on the IC test that Visual Sound posted here on YouTube
I play test after each change the first time I do a pedal or amp. The more you do the better one gets at guessing how its going to turn out.

Thanks for the shootout Pat as always a great job.I'm particularly fond of TS-10 and buy every MIJ version i see for 50 bucks that is.
It's nice to know it holds it's own with a real TS-808.

@ab763 that ts10 is modded to 808 specs but it did come with the right chip
