I would like to see it working against real violent knife attack - full force applied, 2 stabs per second, using rubber training knife......Students don't even try to touch him with blade, they just wave with it in the air LOL =)
@DoubleDrink Most Systema fighters would simply move away from the strikes and break the ankle or knee joint or take the boxer down to the ground. In Systema u r never limited by technique only by what ur body can do. The reason we train slow is so we push our bodies to the extreme while learning how opponents and ourselves move.. speeding up becomes no problem when fighting 4 real. Infact it is hard to train slow because the natural tedency is to speed up.
@DoubleDrink marshall arts are not for fighting between diferrent styles u kiddo :DDDD
it's to fight off the bullies at least , and i think those are weapons, that should also have their restrictions for example not to teach someone under age 18 :)
i personally aproove of this form of RMA but currently there is only 5 locations for training in the U.S one is in arizona, one is in houston texas, one is up in canada [not really u.s but w/e] and one is in tacoma washington.
well, I suppose its like a lot of things. Take football: you practice kicking a ball around, get to know the ball, and eventually, you can go out on the pitch and play.
With martial arts like this, its the same, but with a human body. Get to know how a human body moves in a fight situation, what it does if its hit in the mid section (or anywhere else), where someones head is likely to go...etc.
I did Takwondo, and it was nothing like that. It was more of an art form. Still good though!
Yeah i want to see it in full speed, because what he does is impossible to do, the person who plays the bad guy just let him do what ever he wants. BS
Well, if you've never practiced martial arts you wouldn't know that what that guy is showing is technique. He wouldn't be showing it at full speed, otherwise people wouldn't be able to follow each movement. However, I must admit that almost half of each combo doesn't look that effective or doable in real-life situation.
It not separate receptions of struggle learnt and shown. It is system of impellent functions of an organism. Knowledge of physiology, biomechanics, knowledge of brain activity of the person. Fight it not blow and capture, this decision of a situation, and solves what way everyone for itself!!!!
