In ‘40, did his words & dangerous wandering from Paris to Provence to Portugal, offer himself as “bait”, hoping to delay Hitler’s invasion past summer & radar setup? It is a big lie that the Führer wanted to attack. Germany, Austria, the Sudetenland and Danzig wanted to live under an unified German rule. Edward knew that and he could have prevented the British and French empire from engaging in an aggressive war and war declaration on Germany.
