  • Do you happen to have the tabs. I can't find any decent ones.

  • @lawrencexmoon I transcribed it by ear and have since memorized the piece. There is one part that I know is wrong and which I have been unsuccessful in transcribing, unfortunately.

  • @Bakkerkid

Awww, bust. Well it's good that you transcribed it. If you happen to have the time and will, would you tab it?

  • I'm not trying to be harsh but rather fair, you did a good job but you could still improve. This is perfect for your first song =)

I'd say you play it a little "too fast" in some parts.

  • CCCool!

  • Great job, especially if you're just a beginner, keep up the good work.

  • very good but slow it down a bit!

  • Great!

  • WOW! You did a great job!

  • one lesson jejeje xD good yeah!!!

  • genial tema hermano.

  • WOW! I am going to learn this one day.

  • Broseph...seriously...to be only playing a few months and get this one as well as you have, considerable skill. Impressed beyond belief and been playing for about 6 years now. Masterfully done man.

  • very nice.

  • I love it man. Beautiful.

  • Great !!!

  • Wow great job, and amazing taste in music :)

  • somebody knows the name of that song tha sounds in the chapter preview after every episode? sound like a blues

  • I believe the song you are looking for is called "Blue Funk"

  • no man it isnt thank you, but is that song that sounds in every episode at the next chapter trailer, i mean is an acoustic blues song, thx again man

  • I think I remember the song now. I think it's called "Fool's Paradise"

  • You are awesome!!!! i've been trying to find a tab but I can't find a good one. DId you learn it by ear or with a tab?

  • I learned it by ear. There is only one part that I am not 100% certain that I am correct on.

  • it sounds awesome, have you tabbed it or something?

  • I have written down, but not into the computer. And now that I've memorized it, I don't need to have it written down. I usually don't like to give out the tabs simply because I had to figure it all out for myself.

  • im just curious, i dont want to offend you just because of our difference in beliefs, but, speaking hypothetically, if you found out that god was not real, if someone actually had the proof, so much proof to even sway you to believe them. How would that make you feel? im not going to try and impose my beliefs, i just want to know how it would make you feel if that were to happen. im interested.

  • your not too bad at guitar keep working on it. don't sing anymore, some people cant its ok. i cant sing either. one more thing stop believing in god it wont get you anywhere. surprised!? trust me i can tell just by looking at you. i just dont want to see everyone suffer when the shit hits the fan. your government lies to you everyday. you may choose to believe their lies and their bullshit monetary system. but you dont need to believe me for it to fuck you over. and it will. knowledge is the key

  • I am actually an excellent singer. The song just calls for singing like this. The biggest problem is that it is just a bit too low for me to put in the proper expression.

And, no, I won't stop believing in God. People turn to God when things go wrong because he brings solace, not suffering. I'm sorry if your religious experience has been negative. Knowledge and science do not eliminate God from the equation. Government however.. that's why I voted.

  • I think you need some singing lessons. you put no feeling in the song at all!

  • please..slow down when you play..and put poetry not just technique..please.

  • Great Job

  • any tips for fingerpicking? as far as "shaping fingernails" or anything else?

great job btw, I'm a beginning guitarist as well. youre really inspiring!

  • The shape is usually about a 35 to 45 degree angle with the longest part on the right side of the nail visible from the back of your finger. This way you can use the fingernail for a hard sound or the flesh for a soft, warm sound. You have to maintain them, maybe even harden them a little, cause it's annoying when one breaks. Learn how to "Travis Pick". Good song for that is "Dust in the Wind." Finally, practice all the time. Get the muscle memory into those fingers! =)

  • can you send me the transciption?

I mean the notes, how I can play it by myself!! Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Sorry, I don't post the transciption because I had to figure it out myself, and I kinda like having it "my" thing. Besides, if I can figure it out, I'm sure anyone who is really serious about it can do the same. Good luck!!

  • hey, you aren't bad for someone who only has a few months under you belt.

  • ive been tryin to learn this songggggg. i didnt realize there was a video on youtube for it. lol.

    thats awesome

  • best video ever

  • any spiffy tuning :?

  • actually yes, this is drop D tuning: DADGBE

  • nicee

  • ei man where you got the sheet music?

  • I wrote it myself! =)

  • This video is made entirely of win ...

  • nice. i suck at hand eye coordination so i cant finger pick yet... also i dont even have a teacher....

  • I don't have one either. It just takes a lot of practice and learning as much as you can on your own. It also helps that I've shaped my fingernails...

  • hey cool, tahts awesoe, for you even just playing about a few months!i tried it aswell (dont have a teacher neither =) ) and the first time i was totally screwed, but as you said, takes a lot of practise, and its an amazing song to an amasing anime! :'( im sorry the anime ended so soon.

I would be totally in favour of a newer version of this by you! i think,if you play it a bit slower,it will even sound better =)

    great work!

  • Can you post a video on how to play this song part by part i love trigun and have the series and manga and i would love to learn how to play this song

  • If this is the first song you learned it sounds amazing but at the beginning it sounded like you were plucking an open note that was wrong... and you did mess up the tempo... eheheh, definitely redo so you can show us the real deal, bro.

  • this isnt trigun but u rock anyway

  • Heh, it is too Trigun, but it's not "H.T." - the theme. This is the song that plays near the end of the entire series, while Wolfwood is contemplating things (to not spoil things for you).

  • Great job man, props. Makes me wanna learn guitar hehe

  • =) Just pick up a guitar and start! Get a good book or two from Guitar Center or a music store, maybe a DVD to show you the basics, use the internet to get tabs, learn to read music, get lessons from friends or teachers... it's not that hard! If I succeed in getting one person to start playing this wonderful instrument I'll know I've accomplished something good!

  • Yay, I love this song so much! This is the first time I've seen anyone play it---I don't play at all, but I think you did a GREAT job. You have a nice voice on top of that. Thanks for sharing!

  • good stuff, youre living room looks like the bundy's from married with children

  • lol i luv when u hummed XD

this whole song was played really good tho

  • wow thats pretty awesome. I've been playing for a few months myself, and I don't think I'll be able to do something like that for a while. Do you think maybe you could make a video explaining how to play it, cause im no good at transcribing lol.

  • I started to learn Rakuen yesterday, I found a Powertab file for this beauty, I'm surprised you could get it all by ear!

I know its with the 6th string on D but Im playing with the standard tune because there are so few D's, and it pays off because I can hold the G's and F#'s longer, so the tune gets a stronger bass line.

Playing this song is relaxing, remember it next time you play it and you wont fasten up like u did here.

    thumbs up bigtime

  • You can get through most of it without drop D tuning, but you can't do my favorite chord (it's one near the beginning and ending) or the "alleluiah" section of the song without it.

  • I know, I may aswell tune it down ocasionally, but for memorizing the tune I just go standard, and skip those 2 Ds in the chorus

  • Can you put up the link for the powertab? I have been sitting here trying to tab it out myself and I know I'm missing some stuff. But from what he's playing I'm quite close.

    Well done.

  • this is such a sad piece. this was played when wolfwood died. very sad.

  • nice job, do you have guitar tabs for it?

  • I do have tabes, but they're handwritten...

  • dude, you gotta make another video that slowly explains how to play that upclose!

  • wow, ur awesome!

  • that is really good for only playing a few months. man i wish i could finger pick. it's so hard for me

  • NICE 5*

  • nicely done try playing slowly and pretend your pratcicing it helps you calm down and do you mind giving me the link to this tab thank you

  • I would give you a link to the tab except that... well... I transcribed it myself. There is no link that I know of that's correct.

  • I like Trigun a lot and you did pretty good on guitar. Keep it up.

  • WAy too fast. It's a slow even paced song but otherwise you got it more or less down

  • Nice! Love it:)

  • great job figuring this song out, but definitely try to keep a more even tempo. however for only having played for a few months, that is excellent.

  • It's way too fast. try slowing it down, and letting some of your notes ring out.

  • Very nice, man... Way better than me. Ive been playing a month and don't come close.

  • It's very surprising that you can play this song as one of your first as the song itself is fairly technical and requires a good fingerpicking technique which you appear to posses. I was actually searching this on youtube to see if anyone had done, as I was going to do one, but it appears you've beat me to it. [I got beaten to Suna no Hoshi as well.] I also cannot sing or talk for the life of my while playing, so big ups on this video. Keep it up my friend.

  • i think it is really really bad, sorry. but it's sure a great song

  • great dude, amazing for only months !

  • Two Thumbs up.

    Very Soothing song

  • Well, props to the choice in song, and props to the attempt so early in as a guitarist. True there are some mistakes, but that tends to come with the territory. I'll say good job performance wise too. All in all a good vid. Incidently there is an accurate version over at power-tabs, though as to whether or not it can be played, that remains to be seen. I can't do it, but I never really learned finger picking. Keep at playing and practicing, cause for only a few months, you're doing really well.

  • Thank you! I did try the power-tabs version, but after hearing the song realized it was not correct after all, so I had to transcribe it myself. Took me a while to do, too, but I'm confident that I am 95% correct, with only minor inconsistencies. I'll keep practicing because even if I don't sound good, I know I will someday. And I really love the guitar in all its forms!

  • sounds very good!!

    i love this song ^_^

    i have to learn it

  • Thank you! I found some tabulation onine, but realized very quickly that it was incorrect.

  • oops... heh... signed into the wrong account
