@yepimasian Seagull guitars are made in Canada. But close enough. Better then a guitar made in the same factory as soccer balls or taco shells. At least seagull is made (mostly at least) by competent people. Competent people=white people for anyone who missed that. HAHA.
@MrBlablayaya get one man! just picked up an s6 original yesterday, and i'm completely impressed! these things are seriously comparable to martin guitars that are 2-300 bucks more expensive. only thing i don't really like is the ugly headstock haha
Woah... when I saw this on TV, it was NOT a girl speaking. They got a guy to voice-over; now I can see why--it feels kinda like she's yelling over nothing.
This video does guitar makers around the world put to shame, people shouldn't believe this crap. Guitar making is a trade with many variations, not just a few things that are put together in a lower-end high production factory (no offense to Godin, love their instruments)
Actually they don't just show one guitar being made...some are seagulls (you can see the seagull on the head) some are A and L's. They (and Simon and Patrick's) are made at the same factory.
@megagamer19 If you notice... some portions shown are making an Art and Lutherie and another part shows the assembly of a Seagull (look at the part where they drill the headstock.. that's aseagull headstock).
Godin makes great guitars hands down. I believe the final guitar was an Art and Luthier cutaway model. I just picked up a Seagull Entourage Rustic mini-jumbo. Spent mid 300 and it included a gig bag. My Takamine sounds better, but it cost 4 times the price. Bottom line, I'll put my inexpensive Entourage model against any acoustic costing twice the price. More people should really check these guitars out.
That was really awful writing. I just wanted to sit back and enjoy the making of the guitar, but the cascading, unattributed pronoun use kept slapping me in the face. Passive voice throughout would not have been uncalled for, I think.
I have a La Patrie nylon, and a 25th Anniversary AE Maple Flame. I love them both, but had a problem with the bridge (after a month) and it took several months to get them to take care of it.
I own an Art & Lutherie 6 string and a Seagull 12 string (both made by the same company) and I love them both.
They were reasonably priced, easy to play, made from solid wood, built in Canada, and sound amazing. Up until now the Seagull was the acoustic guitar world's best kept secret, but now the word is starting to get out. Theyre becoming more popular, and prices are going up. Get e'm while they're still cheap!
I have the slim version. It's neck is less in width but just by a bit. I have an entourage and it sounds exactly like an s6 but its neck is the same size as the s6 slim. I will eventually get a seagull 12 string.
I bought a solid Mahogany/Spruce 25th Anniversary edition from Seagull this autumn. It is awesome. Excellent tonal balance across the spectrum. It has greatly fueled my enthusiasm for playing. Thanks Seagull!
i got a seagull studio burst ibeam duet plug in fishman loudbox performer and i fall in love. plug or unplung this guitar sound great. really balanced tone, and really definition with stock string. daddario make string for godin same as pb EJ16. if you get one you will love her.i try lot of martin and tayor guitar but i found seagull is best way for spend money in mid range price.
I have an S6. It's definitely one of the best acoustics I've ever seen. Seriously if I had to pick between it and some of the higher end ones like Martin or Gibson, I'd probably keep my Seagull. And the price is a nice bonus
They show both a Seagull and at the end of the video they were showing an Art & Lutherie guitar, which is also made in the same place. Nice stuff, i'm thinking of buying a seagull or other godin guitar next.
I just recently bought an Seagull S6 Slim. To be exact, I bought it on Monday the 26th(Memorial Day). It is the best acoustic ever. the cedar top gives a great warm and mellow tone.
holy damn. I'm glad I watched that. Guitars are great huh?

Seagull guitars are literally probably the best value for the buck on the market in my numble opinion.
Although I play A gibson songwriter and humingbird, martin etc, Seagulls are very very nice guitars

@laserlax79 why..why do you say that..?

@laserlax79 ebony is a wood dumbfuck, ivory comes form elephant trunks

@archigaga You're calling him dumb?? Ivory comes from elephant tusks, not trunks!! Dipstick! :-)

@archigaga elephant tusks...if they harvested trunks from elephants, by god that'd look odd.

It's true they get better with age. My S6 is some 5 years old now.

Love my SM6 Spruce. Played my father's Yamaha for years (fingerstyle, even) but the neck on my Seagull feels like it was made for my fingers.
