  • emily watson...emma watson.....

    watson!!

    what homes?

  • @TheNextAvrilLavigne there is a Wikipedia page about Dolarhyde about his history and stuff...

  • Comment removed

  • John malkovich would have been perfect as francis dolarhyde

  • Anthony Hopkins created the most recognizing character in the horror/thriller genre - Hannibal Lecter. No single actor ever portraited a villain better than he did. We basicly start loving and symphatizing a cannibalic psycho, a man who did horrible things. But we kind of fight justice and philosophical correctness in his words and acts. This is evil in its most akward form - a genious psycho, an highly intelligent killer.

  • @DJRomeoV Agreed and nicely put.

  • Can someone explain to me about Francis Dolarhyde? History, background, anything? I don't understand this character

  • my reaction when i first watched this..........OH MY GOD voldemort does have a nose!! O.o

  • in my opinion, they should have given this adaptation to david fincher to direct. brett ratner was a poor, poor choice indeed.

  • i didnt realise this was a prequil. now it all makes sense

  • I LOVE THIS!! Lecter is so cooool! :P Edward Norton IS SOOO CUTE!!

  • This is a great trailer..great book.u don't find many books brought to screen with this accuracy...am I lying? I think not...

  • @nobodygetsmyusername He was looking at human anatomy book. Sweetbreads is also a term used in cooking. He knew of Hannibal's fondness of cooking. Graham had realized the killer was eating his trophies and when he saw the word in Hannibal's book, he put two and two together.

  • decent but fuck-all on manhunter in my opinion. even cox was better than hopkins in this story. i know, many fans of the book will disagree with me. in fact, i've yet to find one who preferred manhunter. ANYONE OUT THERE WHO LOVES THE BOOK BUT PREFERS THE MANHUNTER ADAPTATION??? HELLO???? IS THERE ANYONE-ah, fuck it.

  • That awkward moment when you look older than your future self...

  • I hated this movie. The Dragon is supposed to be a HUGE bodybuilder and they put this scrawny guy as Francis Dolarhyde. I mean, c'mon! They totally it.

  • @RosieSquall Dumb reason to hate a movie

  • @junkyturd Yeah, well, whatever.

  • asdfghjk <3

  • This movie genuinely scared the piss out of me.

  • was this movie made before silence of the lambs or after?

  • @TheFallenangelme Set before, made after

  • manhunter sucks. this movie is way better. way more entertaining

  • what happended to D? i saw the hole film but just want a precise answer

  • @Andersnice123 He faked his death during the fire. Few weeks later he came to Wil house and tried to kill his family but instead he was shoot down.

  • Awkward moment today when my mate says "I stink today." and I go "You stink of fear under that cheap lotion ben. You stink of fear but you're not a coward. You fear me, but you came here today. You fear this shy boy- !"

and he's like "What the fuck you on!?"

  • @TallDarkAndDashing LULz I wish one of my friends would say that to me I'd be laughing for days.

  • One of my biggest and weirdest crushes of all time is Hannibal Lecter. I can't help but fancy him and that sexy voice.

  • hey this manhunter 1986 the same quote in line manhunter and red dragon one the same

  • Better then Silence I think.

  • after that Mr.D he became Lord Voldemort....

  • Anthony Hopkins reminds me a bit of Jack Nicholson

  • is kabal in this movie

  • "You musn't judge too harshly Will. Have you never felt a sudden ruch of panic?" *suddenly lunges forward with madness in his eyes*

Good lord, I love this character, he reminds me of myself.

  • @megadork456 Well not with madness mearly a joke on graham :3 thats all i would suspect personally.

  • every time i see that guy i just think cannibalism lol

  • How can people think that Red Dragon is better than Manhunter? i guess you are the same type of people who love films like Iron Man, Transformers, Fast and the Furious.

i figure It's so easy for people to sit back and watch Red Dragon i guess it's all there on a plate nothing to figure out easy to follow with no effort, Red Dragon was a serial killer movie for dummies.

  • how did Graham catch Lecter? he got lucky!

  • @futuremovieactor No, the book told it better. Graham caught the monster because Graham is only one step from being a monster himself.

  • @Deke101 good point! didn't think of that before! which movie was better to you? Manhunter or Red Dragon? i say Manhunter was MUCH better!

  • @futuremovieactor Which movie? Manhunter was more in touch with the book and it seemed to take it more seriously. Red Dragon was more excitiing, but it was more flashy and unreal like Hollywood tends to be. I personally liked Manhunter better.

  • @Deke101 Manhunter gave off more of the vibe that Silence of the Lambs did and William Petersen was a much better Wil Graham then Edward Norton was. as for Brian Cox and the other guy, well let's just say combined, they can't hold a candle to Anthony Hopkins.

  • @futuremovieactor I agree with you there. Even though Hopkins' portrayal of Hannibal was not exactly like the book, I found him far more disturbing. He was able to do something with his eyes that hypnotized you like a reptile's prey.

  • @Deke101 don't you wish that they'd had another film? i felt that the story was still incomplete after Hannibal.

  • manhunters still better :P

  • this looks exactly like silence of the lambs except the detective is a man and not a woman...

  • you saw...but you didnt see

  • the only good brett ratner film

  • "You had disadvantages."

    "What disadvantages?"

    "You're insane."

"Hmm.... well, ya got me there."

  • @TheHonp Seriously.. How much of a dickhead do you have to be to quote actual lines from the movie we're watching! What a waste of space you are

  • @TheHonp Yeah, we know, we just saw the trailer aswell.

  • GREAT INVESTIGATING! TRUTHPROJECT2011, THIS IS HOW IT WORKS TI CATCH THE CORRUPTION AMONG COPS,PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICERS,PROSECUTORS,JUDGES,FBI,CIA,DEA,ETC...MILITARY CONTROL.?????

  • good movie, but who the hell did he shoot in the face in the fire if it wasn't himself?

  • @abusulayman1 That one jerk who worked with him and the blind girl. Randy or something

  • do you see?

  • @MrBadApple999 Yes, I do. I was very moved when I read The Silence of the Lambs which were a Japanese translated version. I thought it was more interesting than a movie with the same title. So I'm going to read Red Dragon which is a book at first.

  • Just finished the book and havnt watched the movie yet. The book is bloody amazing though...

  • i have not seen this or rising i gotta see them tho

  • What is the order of the movies?

  • @darkassassin191 According to the story it's like this: Hannibal rising, Red Dragon, Silence of the lambs, Hannibal.

  • @SlaughterMezz Thank you

  • Edward Norton And Anthony Hopkins?

    Holy...FUCK

  • @jimplanter lol brilliant

  • Francis Dolarhyde: Open your eyes.

    Freddy Lounds: No.

Francis Dolarhyde: Open them or I'll staple your eyelids to your forehead.

(^ One of my favourite scenes.)

  • I am the Dragon. And you call me insane. You are privy to a great becoming, but you recognize nothing. To me, you are a slug in the sun. You are an ant in the afterbirth. It is your nature to do one thing correctly. Before me, you rightly tremble. But fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe.

  • Edward is my inspiration

  • how graphic is this movie? I like horror, but i've read the book and i wouldn't like to see it if it shows everything the book describes.

  • @reynawang The worst you see is photos of murder victims, after Dolarhyde has his way. It's not too bad.

  • What the order you watch this in (if you want to watch more story than release date)

  • @SSJGokuX3 red dragon, silence of the lambs, hannibal, then hannibal rising (a prequel)

  • @SSJGokuX3 Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon, Silence Of The Lambs and then Hannibal

  • @Jigsaw082 Are you crazy? Rising is by far the worst. No Hopkins = Not even worth mentioning

  • @translinkbc005 Eh true : I always skip Rising it sucks

  • @translinkbc005 Have you even seen Rising?

  • Damn that Edward Norton is HOT

  • Havent seen the movie yet, just finished the book, but it seems like the trailer shows this is all about Hannibal. Though it's not. He's just a side character.

  • I AM THE DRAGON.. AND YOU ARE AN ANT..TREMBLING BENEATH MY PRESENCE

  • Thanks a lot haleyteddy03 :-)

  • This movie is good, but I would say Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal are much better. And this movie is a prequel to the others so it would be nice if they could go back in time and have Anthony be young in it.

  • This Movie Is Fucking Insane...But truth be told...Its not the equal even to the 1/10 of the book...BEHOLD THE GREAT RED DRAGON

  • @Holy21Martyr Yes, the book is much better, but this is still good.

  • i couldn't sleep

  • typical voldemord!!

  • You... owe... me awe!!!

  • Thanks a lot Brainsampl3 :-)

  • I like how the end of this movie was the start of Silence of the Lambs.

  • i actually think red dragon was ok....apart from Hopkin's portrayal of Lecter in this one! this is ironic since Hopkin's Lecter is what got these films made (i.e. this and Hannibal) in the first place. But I think he completely gets it wrong. It's a shame because otherwise, this would have been a good film

  • manhunter is the best of all these films

  • that's jack's completely lack of surprise from fight club! :D

  • Read the book, brilliant, perfect mask for a facy dress gig looll :D

  • Thanks a lot mate :D

  • Can someone tell me all Hannibal Lecter movies?

  • @MrNounda Hannibal, Hannibal rising, Red dragon and silence of the lambs.

  • @MrNounda Manhunter (1986)

The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

    Hannibal (2001)

    Red Dragon (2002)

    Hannibal Rising (2007)

  • @MrNounda (in order of release date) Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon, Hannibal Rising. There is also an 80s version called Manhunter which is the same story as Red Dragon just with different actors.

  • I luv Hannibal Lector! :D

  • @miera1029

    Spelt his name wrong.

  • @Javjean Blame it on dyslexia :)

  • @miera1029

    oh okay

  • @miera1029

    LOL!

  • I might see this i'm not sure yet but i really liked Manhunter

William Petersen did a great job with the role of Will Graham

  • de niro wud have been really gud for the antagonist...jus saying

  • @MrTennislover69

    fucking idiot...

  • @MrTennislover69

    Are you fucking serious?

DeNiro is a gnat compared to the dramatic genius of Anthony Hopkins

  • god damned good movie, fuck manhunter

  • I am a Canadian skateboarder.

  • I love all 3 Hannibal films. HATED Rising tho. :( never seen manhunter

  • @longlivejacko i loved rising . hated hanibal the movie seemed cheap

  • Great update of the Harris novel.

  • I liked the book way better. Still worth watching though

  • I actually like Red best of the trilogy. Hannibal was just silly. Silence was solid but I think Red was better. Norton made for the more interesting detective character than Foster did which made the conversations with Dr. Lecter feel less one sided. Hopkins was just as good as ever despite his age. Buffalo Bill felt like a foot note in Silence whereas The Tooth Fairy felt central to Red.

The only thing I like better from Silence was Scott Glenn as Jack Crawford.

  • @mrsticky005, I completely agree. On every one of your points.

  • @Mark35950

Cool. I have not seen Manhunter so I can't really compare that one.

  • @mrsticky005 Neither have I and I don't plan to, so no big deal. I mean without Anthony Hopkins, what's the point, right?

  • @Mark35950 True. Hopkins is awesome. Manhunter has Brian Cox as Lecter.

Cox is a good actor, though I see him more as a corrupt politician character.

Hopkins seems to be the wise old man character. Which is creepy when you

    combine that with Dr. Lecter.

  • @Mark35950

Its good. Brian Cox does less of a charismatic performance and plays Lecter as someone truly lacking empathy and with a sort of latent aggression. Its different from Hopkins, but still very good.

There's a wonderful 80's nostalgia feel to Manhunter as well, some terrific songs and some wonderful camera work.
