  • This show is why I want a lever action rifle.

  • The best damm guslinger on television!

  • I am sorry to point this out BUT.. Play Frame 0:01 to Frame 0:04 over and over Look like he is jerking off! . Then switch to frame 0:12 looks like he did fine. . Funny as hell!. . Don't be pissed at me for pointing this out. I loved The Rifleman T.V. series. A true Television western classic. .
  • hiya guckt mich an bin ein elch

  • Chuck Connors > Chuck Norris

  • would look cooler if he was reaching for a marlboro in his pocket instead of a bullitt

  • If I had a serious look like Chuck Connors, I'd be cool, too!

  • hihï_îch_wëîss_dáss_pässt_nícht_hièr_rëïn_äbér_îch_bìn_sô_èîñsäm

  • Chuck Connors is 100% > than Chuck Norris.

  • I saw this intro for the first time in a long while this morning on AMC. It's a true classic indeed. With that look in Chuck's eyes, there's no mistaking that he means business. Better not mess with him! LOL

  • herrliches intro ... erinnert mich an meine kindheit. Die serie habe ich regelmäßig gesehen!

  • The guy is like Robin Hood, except with a rifle.

  • Chuck Connor kicked ass! He was the F___ing Man!

  • I thought he was Chuck Norris, LoL.

  • This looks inappropriate for television! :)

  • @KillswitchEngage42 r u kidding..

  • @blinko7777 ha! I'm a teenager. Immaturity oozes out of 'em!

  • Who Da Man ? Chuck Conners, did you even have to ask ?

  • every tyme i wach dat i thank hez gonna b less sexy bt um...... dat never happends :)

  • When I was a kid this was the baddest intro on TV ....... and STILL IS !! God bless you Chuck Connors.

  • @okumahowa My mother (RIP) loved this intro. I have some of the episodes on dvd.

  • @blkchk Your mother had good taste. With respect..:) He played professional baseball and profesional basketball. and acted...

  • @blinko7777 Yes she did. She never missed this opening. She found Chuck Connors (and this intro) to be very sexy although she never really said it in those words. But I can sure see the advertisers knew how to use phallic imagery to their advantage :)

  • Thanks for some great TV beautiful memories of my childhood

  • hard to believe that Chuck Connors was the first NBA player to break a backboard during a game. never woulda thought a western tvshow star was also a nba player

  • @boxersrock1 and a professional baseball player

  • This very phallic symbolism.

  • i always thought that when Chuck looked at the camera while re-loading he was telling me....straighten up or you're next "cowboy".....sheesh.....

  • Best opening to a TV program ever! You don't mess with Lucas McCain!!

  • haha im named after him

  • chuck was one bad ass..

  • there was a parody of this on the simpsons

  • Never fuck with Lucas McCain!

  • Wow! i absolutely loved this program when I was a child however, now dat I'm a man, I can see all sorts of sublimal things that I never noticed back then. Like for instance, I sure as hell wouldn't have wanted to be standing in that motherfuckers way, the way dat rifle was popping & shit. And, look at chuck's face. Got dam he looks serious & wicked as fuck, as if he's saying "Dont' FUCK wit me motherfucker, I don't play! LOL

  • @therealraybaby real nice vocab there baby

  • @therealraybaby you got that one right! I bet the townsfolks were saying "why he got to come into our town shooting it the fukck up?" but no one wanted to go up against him and you better not fuck with his boy, thats a bullet in your ass for real!

  • @jrlillian LOL. Yup. just looking at him cock dat piece is fuckin frightning 2 me. i damn sure wouldn't have stood in his way.

  • @therealraybaby Lolz yep, he did play mainly bad guys in the other shows and movies he was in. He was one of the best actors in the world.

  • Also know as the Outfielder throwing out greedy baserunners trying for a extra base lol.

  • "MAD" Magazine did an hilarious parody of this show

  • @coralarch Who cares, what fucking mad magazine did do about anything? I saw that show, when i was a boy and i still love it!

  • @mahilamahila No need to swear at me. MAD magazine used to be brilliant.

  • oh yeah thats going in my faves.....

  • That look at the camera always spooked me. It's like he's saying "You're next Bucko!"

  • Chuck Conners was truly an amazing guy. Great actor who was a Seton Hall graduate. Played both professional baseball (Dodgers and Cubs) and professional basketball (Celtics) and was also drafted, but never suited up, for the Chicago Bears. He was also a tank commander during world war II.

They don't make men like this anymore. Name a current actor now that could even be considered in this well rounded league.

  • I like the way the rifle is a perfectly placed extension of his penis!

  • I guess hes good at Jerking off

  • @DerStechaDeinaMAMA I guess you're fuckin little shithead.

  • i want a fucking rifle just like that.

  • This is the greatest opening for a TV serial of any genre. To break it down: from the hip-shots from the rife, the walking and the twirling of it, the reaching into his shirt pocket for a round to holding it in place at the rifle's bullet round entrance--all the while staring into the camera with the short but great music score. You can't get better.

  • @Tony1949d I so, so frickin agree. I believe he was tipped-off about the part before any 'cattlecall' and trained himself for several months. Keepin mind now, this 6ft 5" & quarter man played pro baseball a switch hitter for the Cubs & his hometown Dodgers not to forget the Celtics basket ball too, which gave an excellant edge.

  • Fricken BAD ASS!!!!

  • einfach top super gruß opa ricky

  • Hows that for an opening,.. nobody meses with the Rifleman...unless your an idiot!..

  • @TRASUPO Such a funny comment...that entrance say's it all for all time.

  • So glad I found this clip. Was crazy about Chuck Conners.

  • rcsoxfan1: where to you get your highly controversial information? You are stipid. Yeah gay people marry several times and sire several offspring - not.; The socialists posing as democrats are going to be on the receiving end of a rifle very soon.

    I quote from his biography:

"Connors died in Los Angeles at the age of 71, of pneumonia stemming from lung cancer. He had been married three times and was survived by his four sons".

  • @panhardbar Fuckin' A! I respect a knowledgable Chuck 'Rifleman' Conners (a.k.a. Kevin J. Conners) fan.

  • MARK

Gee Pa, Do you carry a rifle all the time 'cos you believe in Law, Order & Justice?

    LUCAS

No son, I carry a rifle all the time 'cos I believe in killin' people.

  • Dickhead, you never saw the show did you? Cuz he wasn't about "killin' people"

  • I used to watch 'The Rifleman' every week before you were even born, Jackass and seldom missed an episode.

I was just quoting from MAD magazine that did a satire on the show once.

  • Yes, It's the Coolest Opening Ever! Many thanks for putting it up!

  • Best piece of video ever put on TV...

  • interesting he used to play baseball with the chicago cubs

  • and basketball with the Boston Celtics

  • what's green and spins a winchester?

    mucas mc cain

  • look at that! total classic! and the way he looks at the camera isjust awesome! now thats pimp!

  • Good shootin'. With a guy like that how come the Cubs could not win?

  • That is the fuckin' coolest thing I have ever seen.

  • yeahman!!!!

  • The first shot would take any bad guy out, the other 11 Lucas threw in for good measure. Talk about overkill!!!

  • rofl....cool

  • this is back when MEN WERE MEN--on television

  • John MacLean - unvergessen!

  • Holy shit the Rifleman is a fucking BEAST. This is the first time I've had any contact with this show, but now I MUST watch it. That is the best 20 seconds of my life I've ever spent.

  • you can watch the Rifleman on Hulu

  • I used to love this the opening of the Rifleman.

  • Claudine Longet was supposed to have received the starring role in this show but Chuck Conners did a better audition!

  • He is looking at the audience! He definitely looks like he wants to kill!

  • We should send Chuck Connors against those Taliban whores!!!. He'd blow their asses off....lol

  • Hell yea!!! LOL

  • @Exotic3000 You're right, and Arnie and Sly and Batman and Spiderman and let's

    not forget Robocop!!!! Job done!!!

  • @Exotic3000 and after that you should seend Chuck Noris against Chuck Conners ...:-D

  • @Exotic3000 screw you, stupid retard

  • Notice how the rifle is an extension of his penis! You gotta love subliminal messages!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What the fuck was he shooting at?

  • What the hell is he looking at while he reloading?

  • @victron6 He's looking at you because your next.

  • Chuck Connors is a great hero for anybody in the world today.

  • 11 rounds in the magazine and 1 already in the chamber - and that's the way it is ... !

  • chuck norris is better

  • 12 Rounds Fired, But the 1892 Winchester Rifle, Which Chuck used only held 11 Rounds, The studio Dubbed in the last Round. Why they thought they had to have just one more, You knows?

  • Umm...maybe to match the fact he pulled the trigger 12 times?

Not very good intro to have BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click.

  • Umm Its Fact the Gun only holds 11 Rounds, Its also fact they dubbed the 12th round, look it up

  • And I just told you why....he pulled the trigger 12 times so naturally they had to dub in the last shot or have the sequence end with an embarrasing "click" of a non-firing trigger pull.

  • Delta, I just posted about Chuck being one bad ass cowboy(different video)...I guess it's unanimous!!

  • Was one of my favorites.

  • Apparently every 30-40 years we get another bad ass hero named Chuck. After Chuck Norris is gone, I wonder what the next one's last name will be lol

  • chuck is in the middle of town and what's he shooting at?

  • If you ever watched the show you'd know the answer: Bad people.

  • Went to an Texas A&M v. UT baseball game yesterday in College Station for the first time. EVERY time the A&M pitcher would strike someone out, this would be played. And they say "It makes me feel so goooood!" for 0:15 to 0:18. Found it pretty funny.

  • Wow, I've always love this show, "THE RIFFLEMAN", starring Chuck Conners.

  • Wow! 12 rounds in less than five seconds! Loved this intro when I was a kid.

  • There something Very suggestive with him shooting off like that.

  • Nobody can shoot a "Riffle" like Chuck Conners. Not even the Great, Clint Eastwood. I'm a great Clint Eastwood Fan.

  • Made career transition from Major League Baseball player to actor; and a good one at that! May be the only one to do it.

  • Yes, Chuck Connors was a "Western Man" living in Brooklyn New York, "The Brooklyn Dodgers". Chuck Connors played first base before Gil Hodges replaced him on "The Dodgers".

  • An opening credit sequence needs to get your attention quickly. None ever did it better than this one!

  • I cum everytime it says the RIFLEMAN!!!!! America, FUCK YEAH!!!

  • LOL i just click this link by mistake in a a forum and when it sayd starring chuck.... i rlly thunk it was about to say chuck norris ^^ i know many ppl will mark it as spam or something but its the mere true

  • that is the coolest and baddest (in a kick ass way) intro. and a don't even think of messing with me look on Chuck's face. WOw I love this show, and the values and morals that "the Rifleman" was teaching his young son.....outstanding...

  • Great firing, a genuine badass look on Chuck's face...love the french horns ! Brings back memories of watching this show as a kid.

  • Coolest intro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What was the show which began with a soldier standing at attention while some office rips off his epalets and breaks his sword?

  • Branded.

  • thanks. i recall that show when i was a kid.

  • pow pow pow pow pow pow pow pow pow pow pow pow i just love that part

  • I counted 12 shots...is that right?

  • One of my favorite shows. Thanks to the Western chamnel on cable for airing every single episode daily for several years. Show always had a moral message... even though Lucas always blasted a few bad guys into oblivion first.

  • the greatest show of my childhood. great memories.

  • I surely miss the show on Encore Westerns,,,,what the heck!!!

  • Lobsta1949 -

I agree! Encore Westerns really should air this show again. Me and my Pappaw (who got me into westerns) both miss it.

  • everyone make sure to thank the assholes at starz for taking this show off the air

  • Just refresh your eyes on that bad-assed bastard! Makes today's TV seem anything but innocent.

  • very interesting that he used to play for the chicago cubs back in the day. good theme though and catchy

  • he played for the cubs and the boston celtics deon and bo werent the first!

  • Chuck Conners makes Chuck Norris seem like an exceptionally frail, Britney Spears-oriented, wannabe fashionista - you know, the type of "man" who pronounces the word, "praline" as PRAH-LUH-NAY.

  • Awesome.

  • One of the main purposes of an opening sequence to a TV show is to grab your attention. Try to ignore that one!!

  • Gotta love the sound of those French horns...!

  • Yep, those F-horns are the coolest instruments in the orchestra. Epic sounding and very outdoorsy when played forte. Perfect for those great 'old school' westerns.

  • That look says it all, "Yeah! I just emptied my rifle in the middle of the street, Bitch. You don't like it?"

  • he was good - very good -

  • That was a kick ass opening XD

  • I watched the first couple of seconds over and over and over. Chuck Conners is the manliest of men. (But not to be confused with Chuck Norris.)

  • Is that a faint scream after he unloads? I guess he was shooting at somebody lol

  • very cool intro

  • Thats so gangsta! Best opening I have ever seen.. Conners looking dead in the camera: 'Im the Rifleman, bitches! I just shot like thirteen people and Im watching you...punk.'

  • Subliminal messaging. His rifle is an a phallic symbol. Busting a nut 13 times.

  • Perhaps thats why he fires from the hip lol. From the side it looks like hes shooting his load. Have all the ladies swooning.

  • Hey this is an awesome Western... I still get to enjoy it everynight on Encore Westerns...

Grew up with it as a kid!!! David

  • I love how he looks at the screen after emptying his gun. Like "You want some too?"

  • not sure if you knew this, but chuck connors once played for the celtics.

  • Best opening to a TV show EVER!!!

  • What I wouldn't do to have that modified Winchester in his hands...So awesome!

  • my favorite show when i was a kid

  • aww. its looks ausim! too bad its in black in white. :P

  • God GAWD, could anything get more phallic??

  • ome of my favorite shows i love the way he looks at the camera right here soo tough

  • I love to see this guy shoot that winchester. He made me want to learn to shoot a rifle like him. It just looks so cool. But so very damn dangerous. Since I'm afraid I'll probably shoot myself in the foot, I'll leave the shooting to the experts.

  • I love this show and I watch it everyday. Older Mark is SO HOT!!!

  • Chuck is a stud.

  • My dad & I always do a John Cena-style military salute when the theme-song comes on & we hold it untill the screen goes black. (**My Ma hates this show with a passion, for some odd reason & me & my dad like it, a lot...: I don't know why. Lol.**.).

  • Best damn intro theme in the West!!!
