Hey, I was wondering if it's possible to drill all the way through the Blank and still mount it on the Lathe? I know that you can use the expanding chuck but if the blank isn't trued up wouldn't your blank just fly off when you make your roughing cuts? The hole I need to drill is 2 inches in diameter, So would a pin chuck work to support it?

Hi,

I drill all the way through when I make duck calls and mount

it on the pin chuck. You need the diameter to be 2 inches that's a

big pin chuck. I would turn down a waste block and mount it that way.
