Thanks for a well presented review. For my money the DVK808 provides a better image. Way too much contrast in the DV100. I would love to see the DVK808 camera with the DV100 lens. They never seem to combine the best features in one camera.
On December 24,2006 at 8 o'clock in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Jackson was found dead.Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened.Turns out he was still signed into myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repost a chain letter.if you don't repost this to 6 videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight. sorry don't wanna die
Actually now that I've watched the video, the sky's exposure (which is all I care about as I film airplnes) is the best of any I have seen you review so far...notice how terribly bleached the sky is on all the other cams.
I'm sad to hear that the keychain cam is the one to beat. I am an RC airplane flier and the kc cam is extremely popular, but I have 3 of them (the "best" model) and the exposure is always very bad. Of course I am pointing towards the sky with the cam on a hat. Sunny days are always terribly overexposed, and cloudy days are so dark they look like nightime.
@rcflight13 The indicator light on my DVK808 camera looks identical whether it is recording or switched off (In both states it is unlit). In my opinion that is confusing.
@Techmoan Yeah I guess you got a point there, if in doubt you can always hit the shutter again though. The one thing I don't like about the DVK808 is that it is beyond useless in low-light conditions.
can you plug a external microphone

When you were filming in Tescos did you have to film covertly without showing the 808 unit

@JJFP1 I held it in one fist with the lens popping out of the top. No one noticed.

How is the DVK808 hard to use? It has one button for power, the other to record, a discreet yet clear indicator light and a 30 second auto off.
