Marilyn Scott knows what love is and you hear truth and honesty in her vocals here. She duets here with Frank McComb, an underrated session singer out of Ohio. YOU DON'T KNOW never charted as a single and was never pushed by her label, although radio did discover it and turn it into a virtual must-hear. Scott started singing jazz in her teens as she was discovered by Tower Of Power to do backing vocals. Still not being recognized for her talent, she could be the jazz artist you may never know.
Awesome, Coolt.... Amazing this Duettttttttttttttttttt...Two voices very deep, sensuals... This guy remind me to George.... Really... good taste... Lol
She is such an incredibly gifted singer-- How she's not a household name I'll never know! I've loved her ever since I first saw the video for "10 x 10" back in the early 80's. She just keeps getting better & better with age!
She used to sing backup for George Duke, and he produced this album - even played on a few songs, like this one, although he is not listed for keyboard credits. I think they had some sort of falling out, which is TRULY unfortunate.
She's a protege of George Duke, who I believe played keys on this track, and also produced this album if I remember correctly...

This arrangement is outside the box! Awesome arrangement- why don't I hear this masterful work on the radio instead of the Rihanna muck?

I definitely agree with everyone else. She really I did herself on this track. If that's not smooth jazz then I don't know what it is. J

Thanks been the knock on Frank M, he is no doubt a Donny Hathaway clone and yeah man Marilyn has it going on, tight track indeed.
