  • lol i was looking for the RATM cover of the same title by Cypress hill, and i got this crap?! lol

  • HAHA YEAH ME TOO!!!!

  • Screw this bullshit, they jacked the song title from Cypress Hill!

  • Wrong actually stolen from Rage against the machine....

  • Actually no... Cypress Hll made the single in 1991, Rage covered it nine years later in 2000 on their renegades album.

  • wroong

  • something about her face reminds me about kristen schaal. whom i adore. this was cute.

  • She's soooo adorable!!!

    Love this song <3

  • I dig the drummer. Sadly chances are that it's a drum machine.

  • That's Spencer from Hidden In Plain View =)

  • what do you mean? he's right there...

  • she looks so cute!!

  • i think this song is perfectly fine and whoever thinks it isn't well lets just say i have something planed.......

  • okay this song isn't ANYTHING like RATM's How I Could Just Kill A Man. their choruses are similar cause they both say "you can't understand how I could just kill a man" and that's it so stop saying she copied. RATM's version is a rock/rap song and this is a pop-ish song. She did NOT copy.

and yes, this song is metaphorical. i don't think that a singer would be telling us to go kill men. come on use some common sense ppl. we're all smarter than that.

but anyway i love this song/video♥:)

  • one star for messing with Rage and cypress hill!

  • Man...

I want to Fuck her :]

    And What!

  • Holy SHIT. Everybody, go listen to How I Could Just Kill a Man by Rage Against the Machine. She TOTALLY copied.

  • Great song~ I love it! <3

  • finally they have the song up! GREAT SONG

  • i luv dis song!!!!

  • i like this song he he!

  • You guys are dumb. she's quoting Cypress Hill, who have a song of the same name. I was really hoping this would be a cover of that song, actually, as it is much better.

  • The lyrics are satirical and metaphors, like every other song in the world.

  • I think she has great talent, plus she is very pretty.

  • ok sorry got to say this you peple who are posting the chain letter crap realy need to get a life I mean really that crap would never happen. One you cant put a curse on someone when you dont even know how to create one....plus they dont work unless you believe in them just like voodoo now plz grow up.

  • THATS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT IT! XD ....im kinda sadistic.

  • Nah... it was the first single from Cypress Hill. RATM performs it live sometimes though.

  • yeah right...

  • How I could just kill a man IS a Cypress Hill song, look it up before you express ignorance.

  • No, RATM covered it.

  • -the lead singers middle name is charlotte (she has her middle name tattoed on her wrist) idk mabey she saw the song Charlotte Sometimes and said hey that looks cool, its my fav song and it has my middle name in it... :)

  • Haha love the vid aswel as the song.

  • urf? Charlotte Sometimes is a song by The Cure, How i could just kill a man, a song by Cypress Hill... mmmh i'm confused :D

  • That's what I was like... she likes taking names off other artists?

  • bah, i don't know... i just pretty weird... basically i was thinking it was a cover of the Cypress Hill song but, errr, like... no :D it's really confusing :D bah, it's not that serious i guess ^^

  • ... and i don't know if there are copyrights on song's titles... murff dunno dunno ^^;;;;

  • Charlotte Sometimes was one of The Cure's earliest singles, great song!

Then How I Could Just Kill A Man is a song by Cypress Hill, which is also brilliant.

  • And that single was based off the amazing book from 1969~~

Gaaaahd, I can't get over how good she is! I love the sound of her voice, and I love her band, and just...Augh, they're all so talented!!!

  • still this is good song and tell me u never thought about what she does when u get cheated on

  • Another pointless argument over controversial song lyrics. She wrote a good song now I'm sensing a hint of songwriters jealosy.

  • "its about how the lady wants to kill the man that cheated on her but she doesn't really mean it. have you ever said "im gunna kill you" or something along those lines? usually you dont mean it." she got a ton of shit for this song and those are her exact words from an interview now both of you calm the fuck down. its JUST A SONG! jesus crist

  • I agree with you. Not to mention that the lyrics might be contriversial but I love em!!!!

  • yeah! political debate on youtube comments! lets go guys!

  • Feel free to join in.

  • you guys need to just chill' its a fun song talking about men cheating and treating there women wrong.. not about the actual killing of men seriously I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • Sorry, but this song is about killing men. Look at the lyrics and the video. And there's never a good excuse for murder. Especially not cheating on someone. That's grounds for divorce, not death.

  • Awe you don't want to come back and defend your agrument?

  • Sorry what?

  • shut the hell up. its a damn song. What you mad?

  • You're an idiot, haha.

  • What are you? 4? Namecalling, a grown up, does not make~~

  • In the end it is a song. I don't get my panties in a wad when I hear songs about killing women. Relax. From your channel, it looks like you have, well, a lot of other things to worry about then a song.

  • Firstly, I have never heard of "Barack the Magic Negro". And if that's your goal, then maybe you shouldn't worry about only the ones involving murder of men. And this isn't advocating. While the video shows her murdering her husband, the lyrics don't say that. It's like saying "I'll kill you if you do that" when you don't really mean that. Advocating would mean she said "Oh hey girls, I think you should kill your husbands if they cheat on you."

  • i totally agree...in the song shes just expressing herself...she didn't actually do anything...

  • i agree with u completely

  • Most people don't listen to and do what happens in songs, books, movies, or anything similiar. There's always that small group, but they are far from the majority. Most people have a sense of right and wrong and they know murder is wrong.

  • if someone cheats they deserve to be murdered...

  • If someone cheats, they deserve to be divorced, not killed.

Get a sense a proportion. What you advocate is a punishment not fitting the crime, by an extraordinary margin.

  • OMG! its lyrics to a song! its like when you get so upset of pissed off with someone you say god i could kill you! you dont mean it, its just shes saying that men upset her and that sometimes they infuriate her so much she feels like killing them, its just lyrics to a song she doesnt mean it!

  • annoying

  • its just a song.... i am sure u didnt get 850, 606 veiws? am i right?

  • Won't come back to defend your argument?

This is why you will never suceed at your goals.

  • I think I've kept up acceptably well, at defending myself here.

  • oh calm the fuck down

  • I have my resolve. As for you, how can you deny that this song advocates the murder of men? Did you watch it?

  • hahah wow ever heard of exaggeration

jeez i can tell youre one of those annoying people who tried to sound smart but just annoys the hell out of people

  • haha i know right, just goes around to cute songs and videos attacks people and tries to act like a victim.

  • STOP ANNOYING EVERYONE. if you dont like it, click the home button

    jeez

  • you must really hate the song goodbye earl lol

  • Yeah, that one is not so nice either. It supports premeditated murder as a proper punishment for abuse; which is like taking a life for a tooth, kinda thinking.

  • Wait, you think abuse is equivalent to a tooh?

...do you listen to yourself talk sometimes?

And if the "did you watch it?" was directed at me, of COURSE I did. You know, if she thouht it was actually advocating murder, she probably wouldn't have done the video?

Also, as for advocacy, let's go back to the meaning of advocate: verb 1. to speak or write in favor of; support or urge by argument; recommend publicly

    This isn't advocating.

  • No, abuse is only equal to itself. In that Earl song, a bunch of women got together and lynched and murdered a guy for hitting one of them. That is not fair punishment! That's a life for a tooth situation, instead of the proper coarse, which is a tooth for a tooth. Murder is inexcusable!

And yes, by your definition, this song was "writ in favor of" murder, so it is advocating it.

  • You continue to ignore the point: She's not being /serious/ about it.

Also, let's try a psychology experiment: Reverse the situation.

What if it were a man singing about killing a woman for abuse or cheating? Would you have said anything equivalent?

Also, if you want to prove that, than your examples are disproportionate.

  • Yeah, I would condemn that song also, for the same reasons.

But, here's a psychology experiment for you:

    Would you still defend it?

  • Depends on the tone of the song. I don't know if you've realized, but this is incredibly light-hearted. Which is why you can't really take it seriously. The same here: if a woman was singing something about killing men obviously seriously, then yeah.

But if it was in a joking or unserious fashion? It wouldn't bother me.

  • wow. its not literal, obviously.

what a smart person you are ;D

  • MAN EATER

  • If it was a man singing about murdering women, it would be denounced, and it's author would be called a lunatic. Society has a severe lack of respect for men, and has so many double standards against them; it's sickening.

  • I lol'd.

  • I agree. It's like the roles were reversed after feminism took hold in society. It's become some kind of weird social war between the two genders, and it makes things more difficult than they need to be.

  • bands sing about killing women all the time

  • Examples?

  • Avenged Sevenfold has a song where he said "I stabbed her thirty fuckin times," and in the video he raped her dead body.... My Chemical Romance hints killing a lover to name a few

  • Im a girl and true it probably would be denounced but then again you see any women presidents? And also women didnt get there rights until the late fiftys or so. Plus did you see Rihanna after Chris Brown beat the shit out of her? I think what you're trying to say is sickening.

  • I think what you're trying to say is sickening. Women have had the same rights as men, plus some far before the 1950's, as you believe. For example, in Britain, it was impossible for a wife to be charged with a crime, if her husband was present, until a century ago. All the blame and responsibility fell on him. As for the Rhianna incident, did you read the witness's testimony? She started it! He was just defending himself! As for your demand for female leaders, I suggest you look more at history

  • First off, im just going to start by saying that i think its pointless to try to argue your point on here when a. its going to bet you nowhere and b. very very few agree with you. myself included.

for one, i would not support murder, but this song. It is more about how she feels. You can see by the apple part that she is so hurt wants him to pay for doing that to her, but you also see he never actually dies. She really does love him and want him but she is so hurt by him. Lyrics love, Listen.

  • also, as for women's rights in general, you are absolutely incorrect that women are treated the same way as men. An example? I have a friend who's parents work at the same company and do the same work. He gets paid more than her.

As for Rhianna, think about it this way. If a child "started something" with their father and their father beat them, would they REALLY be defending themselves? I think not. Men have greater strength then women on average.

  • You are right that women are not treated the same as men. They are not drafted, like men. They are allowed to receive help and services at domestic violence shelters, unlike men. They are given women only scholarships and grants, unlike men, who are not given such things. Women are typically allowed to rape children without prosecution, unlike men. If you doubt this, look up the Jane Crane case in Ohio, where she raped a minor, got pregnant, and was awarded child support from him!

  • In addition, do explain what any of the things you brought up have to do with society's acceptance of violence against men? Also, why do you have such a problem with me pointing it out. You imply that all the things you wrote above, are justifications, for men being hurt!

  • okay, everything i talked about above had been brought up. therefore, it is relevant.

Also, I imply no such thing. All I say is that when women are hurt by men, both physically and emotionally, they feel like they deserve justice in some way.

I myself (im not going to get into my story because honestly, im sure no one cares) but i will say i got REALLY hurt by a guy. Does he deserve to be hurt or murdered, of course not. But it isnt as if i did not wish some sort of justice had happened.

  • Okay one. NO ONE is saying to murder any one. No one is saying its okay. So, might as well just let it be and fight your cause somewhere that will make a difference. not the youtube comment section. just saying.

  • Charlotte Sometimes is most certainly saying(singing) it's ok.

  • Were you trying to watch a rage against the machine video when this one came up? XD

  • No, I knew about it already; but, only recently decided to state my thoughts on it, due to the prompting of a friend.

  • C) Just stop arguing. I understand exactly what you're trying to say and kinda of agree, but if in the process you use a bad argument to prove a point, even if I agree with that point, then I can't argue on your side. Just because no one agrees with a person does not make them wrong, or even mean that they should stop arguing (Yes, I pay attention to how you get to a point just as much as the point) But when it gets beyond reason and common sense, then the aruging should stop.

  • Also, your examples are too small, you need to think more broadly. Also, if you're going to get involved in an argument, dont' cop out, that's lame. I can tell with each post that you keep trying to end this thing with some remark implying what other people think. This guy is obviously so strong-willed in the first place that comments like that aren't going to work.

  • This song is strictly metaphorical, to take it literally shows an emotional maturity that you're so obviously lacking. Stop being so seriously. Good, you have an opinion. Kudos for being able to voice it without "typngk lik dis", but you should lay off, because NO ONE IS BEING SERIOUS.

  • And trying to compare the "suffering of modern day men" (being drafted, not having domestic abuse shelters etc.) to the "suffering of women" is illogical. Women have suffered from the beginning of time in most cultures, and still continue to in some just because they are female. It doesn't mean that Men's grievances weigh any less value, but to try and prove that women's "special privelegdes" are completely unfair and invalid is silliness, the same goes for any minority or underdog.

  • Personally, I believe both men and women should be drafted (if a draft HAS to exist). I even wrote a paper on it. If women want to be able to be in the army, they should be drafted when the time comes as well as men. Also, men can find help from domestic abuse, the, there just aren' shelters because this is a male dominated world and men are USUALLY the abusers in the first place.

  • And yes, they give women's scholarships, because women were surpressed for so long regarding educational privledges. But they also give black scholarships, and for the same reason, blacks were supressed in the same ways as well. These things are meant to bring the lower and less powerful groups to an equal level and playing field. Essentially, the earth is a "white man's world". In simpliest terms, it's bringing the weaker and underprivledged to a higher level.

  • A) Learn to type.

    B) Both of you are being ridiculous, but I'm replying to your comment first because you're the one with the grammatical errors.

  • lol they shouldnt be here to argue they should just watch the video lol. and grammar errors are not even important haha

  • Yeah. They are.

  • its a really good song i used to be in love with it when i first herd it, still am haha.

  • L O V E this song!!! one of my absoulte favorites EVER!
