Producing an awesome TV commercial like this was one of the reasons why the game sold pretty well in the West and earned a profit for Capcom. If only more third parties would have put more efforts like this sooner, things could have turned out much more differently.
This is a pretty good game and all but its nothing to start a ignorant console wars over, yeah it was fun high speed button mashing for combos but Im certaily looking foward to taking a peek at MvC3.
This game was SOOO underrated it's not even funny. Some people refused to even touch because it was on the Wii and others because they couldn't play as the SAME DAMN characters they did in MvC2. I learned to accept change and embrace the new characters...instead of picking the SAME frickin' Wolverine and Spiderman until the end of time.

I was so surprised (and happy) that this game got a commercial in the US. I mean, it's not like Wii games in general are particularly well advertised, and the fact that we were'nt supposed to get this game in the first place made it seem all the less likely. Still, they pulled it off, and that's pretty cool.
Does anyone know where I can get a Ryu figure like that? I could have sworn I one time saw something like that on Ebay but never saw it again. Thanks.

I have the game, but it was a big disapointment, first they remove the characters songs, and second the online play its not as fast as the arcade mode and to pull a fucking air combo its to hard. you cant put all the skills to test. I can win to anyone on versus mode, but online its a diferent story, lags too much. 7 of 10.
Just got this game, and it's freaking awesome. I hope if they make a sequel, they put more Tatsunoko characters from animes we all know. Tatsunoko owns the rights to Speed Racer, Samurai Pizza Cats, Macross (Robotech),Nurse Witch Komugi, Beyblade, and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Nickelodeon has the rights to Speed Racer, Disney (somehow) has the rights to Samurai Pizza Cats, many companies have the right to Macross, I've never heard of Nurse Witch Komugi (sorry), and Tatsunoko refused to take credit for Neon Genesis Evangelion (or so I heard). That's why they aren't in (except Nurse Witch Komugi). HOW DID DISNEY GET THE RIGHTS TO SAMURAI PIZZA CATS?!?!?!
The reason why Disney owns Samurai Pizza Cats, is because they bought Saban from Fox, many years ago. Thats why they hold (fucked up/destroyed) the rights to PowerRangers. Nickelodeon doesn't own the rights to SpeedRacer (at least the original anime anyway), Liongates does. Anyway, from what I heard, Liongates won't own the original anime rights too long. After they lose it, SpeedRacer will probably fall into the AmericanPublicDomain. BTW, NurseWitchKomug is own by ADV, just like EVA .

It's still stop motion though isn't it? I think the definition of stop motion is animation produced by capturing progressive images with a still camera. I'm pretty sure the monsters in old monster flicks weren't clay, but they were still stop-motion.

I'm not sayin that the wii sucks, bcuz I own one, but be real everyone knows that ps3 is better than wii. Wii isn't visually appealing, and don't give me that "oh it's not about graphics it's about fun gameplay" crap bcuz ps3 has waaaaaaaaaay better exclusive titles.

@cwells41 Ok... I admit. I really like Capcom vs Marvel 3. I keep watching the game play videos.
However. I dont own a ps3 and I hope to get by my 13th birthday so i can get Little big planet, super street fighters 4, and mvc3.
So if darkshadow says, "Exclusive on the wii... Bitches!!!" You gotta remember he doesnt own a ps3 nor xbox 360. Just let him brag. Dont break his pride. Hes very proud for once the wii got an extremely awesome game that the ps3 nor xbox does not have.

however im very proud for once we got something that ps3 users dont. Believe it or not. Ps3 users are pretty jealous. They now know how it feels to not be able to play such an awesome game like sf4. im not talking about you though,

It's still stop motion though isn't it? I think the definition of stop motion is animation produced by capturing progressive images with a still camera. I'm pretty sure the monsters in old monster flicks weren't clay, but they were still stop-motion.
