I raise all my own livestock for meat and sale, the hardest part of slaughter and preparing is the moment i have to kill the animal. At least they've all had good lives till then unlike some of the animals you buy at supermarkets but as they are all packaged up noone thinks about that when they put it in their trolly.

One important detail is left out. The butchering or slaughtering of the animal is not the gruesome part. Yes I agree killing something is never enjoyable but it is necessary. The cruel and grotesque issue is that this bull died from bull fighting and was THEN slaughtered. The pain is from the cruelty of the bull fighting. Also in the bible man was given permission to eat meat as long as the blood was drained on the ground and covered with dust.  DO you homework in Genesis.

So, it wasn't a "healthy farm-raised bull slaughtered by the butcher". it was used purely for entertainment to satisfy "tradition" at the expense of the animals mental well-being and life. How it used to be and how it SHOULD be are two different things. An animal should be RESPECTED FIRST, especially if you plan on eating it.

For example...cows are stunned with bolt guns...but often the bolt misses or has to be re tried 2 or times....after being hung upside down, cow can wake up after being stunned and be fully aware of its death, suffering a painful, slow death.

And dont forget the lives they lived before that...do your research,this is global and standard conditions
