This is actually Titan. It was the base design for Atlas. You can't fight him because the creators said he was too big to place in a battle and so they based Atlas a military created weapon to fight instead during XIII-2. Don't believe me? @MrJoint54 That's actually Titan, he's the fal'cie of gran pulse so he's like their god, the creator, they used Titans model for Atlas. But theirs something called titan trials in ff13 where you go through decently hard trials for rewards, part of the side quests and you get a few good items.

@GrandAngel8000 Actually that's if you use the device to weaken him but if you fight him full strength then he is red and so therefore Titan = red with no horns, Atlas = red with horns

Gonna totally point out for people that the Giant is a Pulse Fal'cie (Immortal machine creatures) called Titan, his Focus is to do a sort of natural selection and hlep evolve more successful and lethal Pulse Creatures.

Titan =/= Atlas.

Just because they have the same character models doesn't mean their capabilities are both the same. There are an army of Atlases.. There is only one Titan. Titan is Fal'Cie, so you would expect him to kick some major ass. Lightning's group couldn't even handle Anima in the beginning of the game.

@pokemariofan123 Dont really see much of a difference. Yes, Titan possesses magic most likely but other than that, all he has is brute strength and size, exactly the same as Atlas. I know that Titan was likely much more powerful than Atlas but I refuse to believe that we couldn't kill him with an incredibly long battle featuring lots of epic cut scenes and shit. I really would've looooooooooooooooooooved that.

And that's why I love Serah and Noel, they do all that.

you cant fight him you have to unlock chocobos then head to the eastern tors around the circle of cieth stones you will find a yellow marker that will lead you somewhere you are gonna be hit with three red cieth stones eventually you will hit the giant fang and vanille will tell you about it it will say something about lcie and youl be hit with the faultwarrns just go there cause im running out of characters to type

Oh, forgot to say this is the first FF that has no air ship to control. I played all game thinking i would gain the ability to fly, sooner or later, just like these flying mobs around the highlands (even thought this was the only way to engage battle with some flying mobs, this would be the climax of the game). Even that shitty FF XII had the fucking airship.

13 is the worst final fantasy they took out everything that made ff a ff game. exploring, towns, a good combat system, being able to use a phoenix down to heal yourself when you get kod but no its game over when you die.and you cant even fight this guy. this would have been the most epic and best secret boss out of any game but nope they already fucked up by making 13 suck enough as it is that you cant even battle this awesome guy. this game sucks. graphics dont mean shit when there is no game
