  • if i take a 4' whip and put it high up like 20feet off ground and run cable to my cb will it work better as a base antenna than having it ground level?

  • hmmm if we could only get it 70 ft in the air lol! but overall great temporary setup! much better than my first outfit!

  • nice

  • illegal!

  • my sigma4 at 2ft off the ground beat my 827 which was 20ft from the ground...

  • base of the antenna needs to be at least 15 feet off the ground

Also, there are better cheaper antennas out there. 73s

  • it doesn't need to be. but it helps.

This antenna will take 80-100mph winds. We get alot of high winds here so anything permanent needs to be able to take it.

  • 36 foot off the ground is 1 wavelenght on cb thats where it needs to be not 15 feet like that idiot said

  • M3rH > "What are the dimensions of the box.."

Hey, I'd like to know the dimensions of the box as well (length and sides). I have to ship one on these overseas and it appears to be very close to the maximum allowed by the military postal service.

I'm sure it doesn't weigh much, so weight is not an issue for me.

  • 108DX018

  • Hello. What are the dimensions of the box and weighs about respect?

  • How high up is it.

  • that's the A99 one of the best antenas

  • since when ???

  • @bigpimp347

I have seen it, Still takes the wind very well.

  • @bigpimp347, Just because it's not par on the inside.. It still does a hell of a good job at what it's suppose to do though.

  • i think the fraise for that areil is 2in case of electrical storm do not use" :D

  • weaky weak!

  • i seen one like that one a car one time

  • bull

  • not kidding, it was like 15 foot high, just flaping around on an old crown vic

  • trochę czubek wygięty ;d

  • jaki zasięg łapiesz na takiej antence?

  • More power? what antennas are you both running?

As my mate lives 18 Km from me and we can just about talk with over 20 watts power.

  • i have a older CB radio on the mic it says colt-359 and i live about 20 miles from my friend who also has a CB radio and i can not reach him by CB... any pointers?

  • @schultz234, it all depends on what kind of antenna, how high the antenna is, etc.
