i swear, this is the BEST Game ever...and when Creature from the Black Lagoon comes, i will go crazy :) (oh, and i really hope for Indiana Jones, Addams Family, Phantom of the Opera, Eight Ball Deluxe, F-14 Tomcat, Playboy and Guns n Roses...hm...and Black Pyramid, Star Trek (from TOS, not TNG) and and and...oh, actually they can add every single pinball ever made :)
Can't wait for this , it's been long time since last ps3 pinball in 2009 ! Really hope they add "creature from black lagoon' , "Maverick' , which is the Mel Gibson movie !!
Huh? A secret ball lock? That is only supposed to happen if the ball goes around the back, not by just hitting a target! I hope they are going to address that! But seeing as the real roms are being emulated, I think they "wired" the target wrongly.
This is EXACTLY what I've been hoping for!! I would've settled for a Bally's or Williams 2 collection, but this works! I'd like to see these Williams games:
-Flash, Black Knight 2000, High Speed, Flash, Getaway:HS2, No Fear, Fishtales, Banzai Run, Earthshaker, T2, TAF, AFM, Grand Lizard, both Elviras, F-14, TZ, Dracula, Roadshow. And many others I can't remember.
A big THANK YOU to Farsight studios! You've made our day!!
I see that the Windows logo is listed among all the platform logos, yet most of the publicity doesn't say the game will be available for PC (publicity is so geared towards mobile devices). Can you confirm if it will be available on PC? I really hope so. Xbox Live arcade would the next best platform for me... but 1280x720 is looking like a really low resolution on my monitor these days. I need a PC version. Preferably via Steam.
Really looking forward to this platform. I just hope they use this as the base just like Zen Pinball and add more and more table so we can finally have a platform to host many many tables in one place like virtual pinball for future pinball. Only problem I can see is the flippers look like they move too slow compared to a real pin.
They MIGHT be able to get Judge Dredd since it's based off the comic book and not the film. I hope they'll include it. My friend and I played the hell out of it. (If you get the rights to JD put the "Dead World" mod in it!)
@Diskoboy1974 Any of those are possibilities. They have said as much on Facebook. They would be the more expensive tables because of licensing though.
@hinph I hope it's a universal type thing because I wanna get it on everything like my iPad, 3ds, ps3 too. Hopefully it'll be like an account you sign into and just by it from their. I also hope for licensed tables like Indiana jones
I've poured so many hours into your previous pinball titles, and this one is going to keep me hooked for a long time with two new tables every month.
Only problem is that I'm having a really hard time deciding what platform to go with. I'd prefer the HD console experience at home, but pinball is such a good thing to have on the go. It would be ideal if the tables we buy can be played universally across any platforms we wish to use... here's hoping!
BTW I hope this makes Farsight studios a fortune. They should get an award for their contributions in preserving the memory and the technical/visual artistry of pinball machines.
It's about time!! So excited for this. Pinball HOF Williams Collection is one of my favorite games of all time. And Pinball Arcade will be even better with online leaderboards and a couple new tables every month. Unlimited replay value.
It's a shame it's so hard to get the licensing required for digital versions of the old pinball greats like star trek, twilight zone and indiana jones :(
FarSight makes the most faithful digital pinball in the business though. I played a TON of the gottlieb collection on PSP and the williams collection on PS3 and the feel is dead on, much better than any of the competition!
Fingers crossed that we get DLC releases of all the tables from the gottlieb and williams collection games!
Upon further review from the video, the physics actually do look a little bit better than Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection. Can't wait for this one!
Fantastic! But please, do add some texture to the ball: Zen Studios managed to do that on their just released pinball on iOS...and we want Pinball Arcade be the leading pinball experience on every little detail :)
@dadukiful They did improve their ball tech from this vid. Check out the other videos they posted. It looks as real as can be and reflects everything around it.
Will there be a way to voice which table would be most wanted by the community? I'm sure there are a lot of fans who want many of their favorite tables be in the arcade :D
@jrolson85 They did improve their ball tech from this vid. Check out the other videos they posted. It looks as real as can be and reflects everything around it.
Some of these "machines" cost thousands of dollars in their "real" form. All these machines weigh +200 pounds "in real life." Real machines break down. They take up LOTS of space.
Myself, I find it hard to complain about anything in these tables not seeming real... Because they're not real.
I'll happily pay a few bucks for every table they make, with whatever imperfections there may be.
Are you guys making Pinball Circus? Keep up the good work. I appreciate the hard work.
Looks great. Physics are more like in the Williams PAL release with faster ball speed. Beyond that even, the ball seems to react to the flippers better. Can't wait.
On Theatre of Magic, once the ball is in the pop bumbers, it never makes the rollover lanes back up all the way like in this movie, it might only touch the switch from the bottom. It just seems way too easy and non-random in this video to get to 8X bonus.
Looking forward to this game too. Hopefully it will be released pretty early on Vita too, would definately help sell that system to me ^^
One thing I would like to point out:
The gameplay is very slow, I hardly ever play a DMD title that is setup this slow (and the slingshots are usually much more sensitive creating more randomness. Would it be possible to have multiple settings for the speed of the game / slope of the table?
Tales of the Arabian Nights - Williams - May 1996
Ripley's Believe it or Not - Stern - Feb 2003
Theatre of Magic - Williams - Mar 1995
Black Hole - Gottlieb - Oct 1981
Awesome! This makes it seem you will be releasing tables designed by all the big players INCLUDING the only pinball maker still making pins, Stern.
Please, please include much higher views so I don't feel like I'm on my knees (I'm 6') and cropped views since I only need to see the bottom of the flippers.
The lighting and table animation seems to be improved. The physics seem pretty similar to Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which I like. Hopefully the price is right and the leaderboards are vastly improved.
Can't wait. Glad to see you got Stern with Ripley's. Hopefully we'll see some more Bally and Williams classics like High Speed 1 and 2 and Attack From Mars.
Very very fine THX :)

Yesterday, I discovered "Future Pinball". 15 minutes later, I discovered how awful the physics are.
It made me really appreciate just how good Pinball FX 2 is. But, my biggest complaint with PFX2 is the lack of tables based on real life classics.
Today, I discover The Pinball Arcade, and that it's releasing in just a few weeks, and it's looking great. :)
The table I want more than any other is The Addams Family. Please make it happen FarSight!

Would you bring bally - cirqus voltaire also ?
I missed this table since williams collection was released to xbox !
A bally collection also could be great !
I saw that John Popadiuk is in contact with you, i hope cirqus voltaire is on your to-do list.
i can wait for the release.

But seriously, it would be amazing if they would add as a dlc the "2 of a kind" Pinball Circus from Williams.
