  • its funny i come from a cider county im from a place called Gloucestershire ,England

  • That sounds great, but I live in southeast Michigan. lol Metro Detroit actually~ ironic, I moved from Northern Michigan to the city to farm lol.

We have literally 1000's of orchards around us and through out the state so I am giving the cider "beast" a try this fall to see what we can get! Very excited!

  • That machine looks like a hungry beast, how many apples can that thing eat in an hour?

  • @odegaard Gosh, I don't know, as many apples as you can throw in it! As long as someone keeps spinning the wheel, it'll keep on eating. That bucket of apples made about a gallon and a half of cider. Spinning sure is a lot of work! Eat some spinach before you try it. : )

  • I enjoyed wathcing this video, fun music and you did a good job showing both how it was done and the family fun in the process.

  • @nhenry2005 Thanks! It was fun making it (the cider AND the video). Apple season is over, but you should give it a shot in the fall. If you live in Southern California, Oak Glen is the place to go! Check out Riley's (there are two of them, which makes for a lot of confusion -- one has living history, the other has trails for hiking, both have apples), and Snow-Line Orchard has the most delicious cinnamon apple donuts in the world, plus a variety of cider flavors to choose from.
