  • is he trying to hide behind the cd cover or something

  • What is that instumental playing?

  • I knowithis vid is a year old...But yeah....I was born and raised in new orleans...So I can actually tell you NOLA does stand for New Orleans,LA....

we call it nola here...we have a TV station called NOLA 38....all the members of the band are from New orleans...where the hell did you get Los angeles from? I'm not trying to be a dick...but you sholud actually do research on things you are reviewing..before you review them....

  • dude it´s not called down because they made it in their down time, man :-D.....it´s called down because phil came up with the name to relate it with havin a down, depressive side and make music that fits that kind of feelings.

  • Los Angeles????????? wtf. New Orleans, Louisiana. How can you even say L.A? ummmm New Orleans is in Louisiana dude! everybody knows that, especially if you are an american

  • Actually yeah it does mean New Orleans Louisiana because everyone except rex is from there. Duh, any fan knows that.

  • This album is amazing and I consider all 3 of the Down albums so far to be masterpieces. Down III was amazing too, a great blend of the first 2 albums and I look forward to the next one.

  • Yeah, I dug some of the 2nd album, but I dunno how much of a masterpiece it was.

The 3rd one looked cool, haven't checked it out yet.

  • As usual, gotta check it. YTing it now.

  • i saved this for the end of my youtube viewing for the night. don't know if i can hang with the album but nice review!

  • Yeah, Down is not for everyone. It's more for the miserable, burnt out, sludge crowd. Black Sabbath and Pantera fans. I can't stand Pantera most days but Black Sabbaths first 2 album were awesome.

    Angsty, pothead music.

  • all i ever had was we sold our soul for rock n' roll.

  • NOLA actually does stand for New Orleans Louisiana. Phil is from Louisiana, and also why some people call it cajun metal

  • I've read both explanations. Maybe both are true.

  • Ooo, interesting.

Don't know why. Came off the top of my head. You should give Shriekback a listen. I have like their famous album oil and gold and their new ones Glory Bumps and Comorant (sp_ too lazy_) are strangly brilliant.
