Your videos are always top class. Keep em coming. I think he's best suited playing a bit higher up the pitch, like he is now. He can put in those killer passes, which could be seen quite a few times in this video. Recent examples being the passes to Arshavin and RVP against Blackburn
We tried doing that last season against MU in the champions league and it didn't really work. I think he's best when he's got space in front of him to give him a bit of time to pick his options and play the pass. When he plays higher up the pitch he's gonna be tailed by opposition holding midfielders.
@MrRenoog Now because he is recognized as the heart of the team, many teams do tell their holding midfielders to close down on cesc so that when he turns, he does not have time on the ball to read the game, like so many times in your video. But wenger i think has recently started to counter it by asking him to play deeper, so that the opposition cdm does not tail him and then dribble up while picking his pass, with song and wilshire around him for the easy short pass if he is closed down.
@MrRenoog they need to change the formation to rotating wilshere and fabregas to the middle role so fabregas doesn't always stay up front..then he can't be marked nd wilshere can attack more
