@SkyRifter Well having to use a wii remote and the nunchuck makes sense since Zelda is a very complex game with alot of controls, but the motion plus just makes things easier. I bought my wii as a bundle that came with a motion plus controler, wheel, and nunchuck and then I got the gold remote with the Zelda game bundle.
-That's what i'm saying, Don't buy Consoles when they first POP Up- you'll get cheated in the long run as they update their things, the first buyers always get cheated - Christmas is a very sick joke (-It makes 'Miyamoto evilly laugh at us all.')

@SkyRifter I'm not sure why it was like that. I think you can use the original remote to play Zelda, but I'm not sure. I don't have one. I think their games are great. Sure the graphics aren't as good, but the games have way better plots and controls (wii remote versus PS or Xbox controller). I would much rather play Zelda or Mario than Call of Duty or Skyrim.
This movie wasn't too bad, despite what everyone has to say about it. Sure, it doesn't fit one-hundred percent into the game continuity, but I that is because Nintendo probably didn't keep up with it's progress.
I heard this movie was bad... But judging from all the comments and the trailer it looks ok... I mean, at least they didn't use whatever that fake cartoony crap is called that they use in every movie... (like in rise of the planet of the apes) I wish I was alive in the 80's... there was less homework, good movies, no first person shooters...
there is a lot of cool stuff in the trailer that is not on the final movie, i wish there was an extended cut with alternate angles and the same filter that is used on the trailer, which makes everything look more badass.

What people need to realize is that with Mario there never really is not that much story. Rescue the princess, thats it. Personally I'm glad they changed the goombas and koopas. Seriously how intimidating would brown mushrooms and turtles look in a live action Mario movie. At least they added Yoshi and made him a dinosaur. It may not be a good movie to you just because it doesn't resemble Mario but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the hell out of this film.
It drives me nuts that everyone hates this movie now. I like this movie and I really like the games. The thing people don't realize is that you cant make an exact replica movie of the games. What younger people have to understand is that when this came out, Mario didn't have as rich and fleshed out a mythology as he has today. What people need to realize is that with Mario there never really is not that much story. Rescue the princess, thats it. Personally I'm glad they changed the goombas and koopas. Seriously how intimidating would brown mushrooms and turtles look in a live action Mario movie. At least they added Yoshi and made him a dinosaur. It may not be a good movie to you just because it doesn't resemble Mario but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the hell out of this film.

It drives me nuts that everyone hates this movie now. I like this movie and I really like the games. The thing people don't realize is that you cant make an exact replica movie of the games. The games would'nt work as a live action if the movie stuck to the game exactly. That being said, this movie could have been a little bit closer to the games though but it was still a great movie. AND, Bob hotchkins was the greatest pick they could have had for mario. John L was a pretty good luigi too.

What younger people have to understand is that when this came out, Mario didn't have as rich and fleshed out a mythology as he has today. Go play Marios 1-3(4 for SNES had JUST come out, and back then consoles were expensive and entirely the domain of schoolchildren, so the only people who had it were rich kids)Donkey Kong, and Dr Mario and tell me what you think the unifying story arc is.This movie was made with what they had to work with, which was basically a list of characters and mushrooms.

@branden528 Nintendo only agreed to have a movie made based on the Mario Bros, but they actually had nothing to do with the actual movie script or the film itself. And according to Bob Hoskins (Mario) the directors of the movie had no idea what they were doing and eventually "they're own agent was telling them to get off the set".
