@VizorFeared Again, erly alpha. I have no idea what the growth rate on cactus is now. Its possible its been reduced quite a bit because of factories such as the one I had constructed. With mine now also being nothing but a big empty room due to server lag theirs no way to tell.

@MegaGoldendragon Just confirmed this to work in 1.0.0 SSP, though you don't need to make the "T" section as high. You can get away with only one block of headroom over the cactus.

I have a question - When you did the demonstration, why did you make that T out of stone 3 blocks high? Surely you could have made it 2 blocks high to save space?

Since the cactus wouldn't grow to fully 3 blocks, there's no need to make space for it?

@CaptEnhanced3 Back when it was made (erly alpha) cactus had a chance of growing to its full height in one go. It also wouldn't cut itself until it had reached 3 blocks high. Hence the 3 block T

On top of the 1 solid block that breaks the two cacti you put another on top of it to make some platforms for your next 2 cacti up.
