@dalecampbl6 Fundamental economics isn't complex, but the system we have today is. Banks and companies like that, since they can pass laws without anyone but them knowing the true meaning. Right now, companies use government to pass laws that stifle competition. A regulation that costs 1 million dollars a year to comply with means you can't start up a company in that industry in your garage. This boosts CEO's pay, since no competition will develop no matter how much they waste on themselves.
The OWS movement is a bunch of anarchist hippies and unemployed losers that if they would spend half as much time into looking for a job as they did in bitching about not having one, they would probably be at work right now and not sitting on their ass smoking dope and beating bongo drums in the park.

@Cytrome Those perceptions are pretty dumb., because 70% of the protestors are employed, 50% full time. The remaining 30% is made up of retired people, to a significant degree, as well. I've met a significant number of retirees in occupy personally. A good chunk of members in my Occupy group are actually business people too. Most people in occupy I've run across aren't so much anti-capitalist as anti-corporatocracy. There's a difference.

Right now, companies use government to pass laws that stifle competition. A regulation that costs 1 million dollars a year to comply with means you can't start up a company in that industry in your garage. This boosts CEO's pay, since no competition will develop no matter how much they waste on themselves.

@Cytrome Those perceptions are pretty dumb., because 70% of the protestors are employed, 50% full time. The remaining 30% is made up of retired people, to a significant degree, as well. I've met a significant number of retirees in occupy personally. A good chunk of members in my Occupy group are actually business people too. Most people in occupy I've run across aren't so much anti-capitalist as anti-corporatocracy. There's a difference.

@WeonlyAre It is not! The general OWS movement is NOT ABOUT THE US CONSTITUTION. I have yet to hear someone mention it and they corrupt TRUE rights by claiming college education is a "right". I haven't heard Liberty or Freedom or even INDIVIDUAL mentioned in ANY of these interviews. Why would the Communist Party and the AFL-CIO support them if what you say is true? Really - WHY!?

But instead these are people for freedom not more government regulation and control. Why did their manifesto say that wealth is "extracted" from people as if we are all born with an equal amount? @FoundInBetween I personally don't care what people protest about. All I care is that people continue to protest the government and exercise freedom of speech. Our government is corrupt and way to big and unfortunately they do not fear the people. Protests are a good thing and you would never want to pick and choose who can protest and who can't. Plus it wakes people up and gets them thinking about the direction this country is headed. Me personally I am a big Ron Paul supporter.

I wonder when those who care about freedom will realize that a war is going on. The rioters do and so do their Labor Union reps in government.
I agree that freedom of speech should not be stifled. It's why I care what they are rioting about. Their "OCC" would snuff out the "hate speech" of RP supporters in a heartbeat.

@FoundInBetween Your exactly right that the majority of these people want more government and freebies. But Unfortunatly most of the people that truly want more freedom and less government like libertarians and constitutionalist don't feel it necessary to stand up and fight yet. However riots like this sure wake a lot of people up and that's why I like and will support any type of protests. Not there issues necesarilly but for sure there freedom of speech. Hate the issues but not the protests.

@brew2310 When you tear down fences to take over private property then you have left the realm of "protest". When you claim you want to "occupy" a city it isn't even civil disobedience anymore. When you want to inflict the most repressive form of equality on a society, an attack on the Individual and privacy itself then you are not American. I can't stand the police and I don't believe they are defending my Rights here or anywhere but neither are the rioters. They deserve each other.
